The watch that could, but unfortunatelly has missed the trick. It states 42mm, but it wears like 45mm, it is also thicker than it could be, the rehaut is extra thick/deep and bezel profile follows that approach too. 40mm, at little under 14mm (yes auto chrono mov'ts can be thinner than this) and it will go bananas...
Great vid Rob. Have it in the White (silver) dial, and love, love, love it. Can’t afford a Daytona? THIS is your watch. I have just about every Longines 2023-2024 popular release, and this is my favorite (well except my Ti Zulu Time x Hodinkee, which they just released in a just Longines version.) Longines, I believe, is, right now, the best entry level, value for money, watch brand, undercuting and beating, Tudor, Omega, Tag and Breitling.
I thought it was actually 44m? This is your fav over the salmon dial master collection? I have quite a few Longines as well but instead of getting this, I got Hamilton’s version in the black and steel and rose gold variants…I like dates😅
It's a great watch. They're just huge in real life. Need a 39-40mm. Lately it seems like Longines has been releasing big versions only to then followup with a smaller version leaving the suckers who may have wanted a smaller version but purchased the bigger version in the dust. (I.E longines conquest 41 then 38, longines Spirit Zulu 42 then 39). Then everyone has to sell the bigger version at a loss...just to get the one they really wanted lol. Longines is killing the game right now...but it's still annoying.
Wow. Love the watch. Nice layout and design. I always have loved Longines watches. Price isn't so bad either. But when Rob said it is 14.67mm thickness and "it is not gonna get much thinner than that", I immediately thought of Rolex Daytona 126500LN which has 11.9mm thickness 😁 Well, I guess Rolex is Rolex. They have their own standard for sure. The deployant clasp head seems to be bit too thick on wrist. But great invention on the adjustment. Also, I truly love that 8mm crown. Super nice design. Anyway, thanks for the review, Rob. Excellent watch. But I am a bracelet + on the fly adjustment clasp guy. Have a wonderful Day, Rob.
I bought a new Hydroconquest chronograph earlier this year and that does have a date, but doesn't seem to appear in their line up anymore, glad I bought when I did. Uses L688 column wheel movement.

I had the Tudor Chrono at the top of my list. This might move to the top. Looks incredible...
Wow that's great looking chrono! That for the show and tell Rob.
Whoa! Stunning watch
Awesome colorway and great looking watch. Longiness continues to release great models.
just gorgeous, perfect size and proportions at 42mm, enough with the unisex watch craze!
I love this but would have it on the rubber would be challenging on my only just 7 inch wrist though!

This looks good 👍
Great review. Curious how you compare this to the Tudor black bay chronograph?
I saw one of these in green was stunning
No date, no sale.
Much prefer my Hydroconquest chronograph bought new earlier this year but unfortunately appears to be now discontinued.

Is you wrist size in the 6.5” range like mine - that’s my only concern or I would buy tomorrow. Thanks

A thinner rehaut would make it perfect!

No date, huh? I think that's awesome!!
Agreed.
Longines has been known for forcing some really unfortunate date placements.
Nice to see some restraint on this one.
This shade of gold is fantastic. I think I’ve seen a non-chrono Longines with the same color.
Rubber Strap vs Butterfly Bracelet? Any thoughts?
Any discounts with exquisite Rob?
Very nice....
I like it
That's what I call a grand slam.
NO DATE????garbage. 😂
