A derecho tracked across parts of Kansas late Sunday afternoon. Great Bend experienced near darkness as the dirt plume moved in and caught motorists off guard.

Someone please explain to me why these people are seemingly anxiously driving towards an enormous tornado; and why they’re out on the road driving around with such bad weather conditions coming in the first place. Neither of these vehicles appears to be outfitted to be weather researchers or storm chasers. Almost every tornado video is full of a bunch of vehicles driving around.

Glad to hear it I worked in Great Bend Kansas several years ago most unfriendly town I've ever been in and all the fast food joints were horrible and nasty inside
