To me, this was like the prequel to the hypebeast sneaker culture taking off. I remember these dropped and people were going crazy over them, while a lot of people felt like they weren’t the best color combo ever. Then it became a thing of rarity to just have them, birthing the whole hypebeast wave. That whole era was at its peak to me with the Galaxy foamposites which dropped the year after these (or 2 years, could be wrong here). Good times, glad they ended up bringing this shoe back. When I looked at the price of the shoe when they released overseas… the price was crazy. When they announced the US Released Date… The Price Dropped damn near Retal on StockX..jumped on it quick and had them almost a month before they dropped this weekend… loving it!!!

I think the 8 and 9 were definitely very hyped but I feel like the LeBron 10s are the pinnacle. It will never happen but really hope they do a nike by you retro on the 10.

One of the most edible looking shoes of all time lol. The pink hit on the outsole just looks like tasty candy.
Also these should just come with two pair of hot pink laces, nobody ever rocked these with the black pair unless the pink ones broke.
I got the Miami vice 9 elites in HS but remember never being able to afford the 8’s so happy they re released and I managed to get a pair. My absolute grail of a shoe. Maybe in 10 years they will release again or they will do the Miami vice ones as well. Either way will be buying at retail or resale

I remember these but opted for Kobe 5s over these Lebrons coming from a zoom lebron 6 which broke down after a year of use playing hoops multiple times a week. This lebron 8 was the first lebron i thought looked really good for a lebron shoe. I dont really remember lebron's being hard to get in my country unlike Kobe's since lebrons werent really used as a lifestyle sneaker(mostly people here in asia bought lebrons for playing hoops since asians found it too bulky for a lifestyle shoe) during this time unlike Kobe low cuts which was always sold out here starting with the 4.

Owning the OG's and they retro's the main difference I noticed is the black elephant like print along the suede eyeletes is far less defined on the 2021 version.

Anyone have true experiences with tradeblock. I wanna trade a few kicks for others but idk how it is. I got HOF & Del Sol Kobes along with 2 pairs of QNTMs (off top of my head) i can part with.
I bought 1 on flightclub then I hit twice on snkrs app. Once on release day and the others sneakers pass. I traded the flightclubpair for University Blue 4s. I sold the snkrs pass pair to my homeboy for $280. Love these very iconic in my lifetime lebron coming to the miami heat and these dropping.

These colourways come out in trail shoes every single day, we call them shoes. Nobody is mall walking in trail shoes though, well maybe some ACG’s. Is anyone playing basketball in these or just wearing their pink sweatshirt and jeans with them? Colourway rocks though, if I wore basketball shoes I’d wear them. Interesting how colourway determines price, doesn’t affect other types of athletic shoes, availability might though. No other sport shoes actually use leather or suede for real production models though, too heavy and not durable in outdoor conditions. Dig the fashion aspect though, sometimes confusing as I tend to use athletic shoes for purpose.
I’ll admit I do have a pretty pair of Adidas Terrex Free Hikers though.🤷♂️👍😂
