There's always someone saying "Tesla is overvalued". They often think Tesla only builds cars. They forget Megapacks (100% growth) and Autobidder, Semi, Optimus, Dojo, FSD, AI, etc.

What do you mean same as Toyota, Toyota has almost zero EVs and Tesla will have almost 2 million this year. Not counting in robots, AI and solar too. Chinese EVs do not get the 7500 off price from the IRA and also with the transportation cost with tariffs, they will lose money selling in the US. I also doubt if the US population will adapt to Chinese EV makers as Americans do not link Chinese goods to quality merchandise.

Tesla is a car company. It makes nothing else that sells.
The stock runs on Elon promises that are fantastic- and products that are far less and cost far more than promised.
But the elon/tesla fans just cannot see it. They always use Elon’s promises as their “proof” that it all makes sense. It makes as much sense as the hyperloop.
why is he comparing tesla to Toyota? Toyota does not have optimus, an energy segment, or a really good full self driving beta.

I suspect myself of being overly optimistic because I’m an Alphabet investor who wants Waymo to take off, but I think it’s possible that huge strides may be made in a short time frame at some point. Similar to the way generative AI went from not being able to write code to coding better than a typical software engineer in only… however long it took.
It’s likely that once the FSD tech is there, it’ll be there for multiple companies, and Tesla will be among the companies that have it. Just like Alphabet making a model that’s good at coding within about a year of OpenAI pulling it off.

Interesting. He says Tesla doesn’t have anything Toyota doesn’t already have. Then goes on to say EV’s are here to stay, that they’re future. I guess he’s unaware or has forgotten the most important thing Tesla has Toyota doesn’t: EVs.
Most Americans prefer gas cars, despite how hard the government is trying to force us to buy EVs. Would EV even exist without all those subsidies and special previleges granted to EV drivers? Would EV even exist if the Government didn't mandate Auto Manufacterer to stop producing ICE cars by 2035? EVs = slavery (your car will get shutdown and tracked). It's all about control. Gas cars = freedom.

I agree, Tesla should not be above 100 as long as interest rates stay around present levels... when they come down to pre 2019 levels, plus if Tesla becomes transparent about insurance and repairs costs, improve interiors (right now Tesla has the worst interiors of all cars sold in USA).. and start introducing more models as a main stream car maker does.. then Tesla may be eligible for a higher multiple
I actually like the interior of my model y . It’s actually really really comfortable. Actually, it’s probably the best car untied ever had . I can sleep in the car so comfortable in camp mode when I’m driving in road trips .

Tesla certainly innovative when it comes to EVs. Cyber truck has interesting features but I still don’t get why it had to look like that. Looks pretty ridiculous.
Largely due to the super strong material. The type of machines typically used to mash the metal into a certain shape aren’t strong enough to mash that material. That’s my understanding, at least. They insisted on a needlessly strong metal, and it was cuttable but not moldable. At least not moldable in a cost effective way.

Let me first state that I am NOT a tesla fanboy at all but I need to respond to this guys ridiculous statement saying Tesla is the same as Toyota. Is he nuts? How can you have someone who has been so wrong on TSLA all these years and still talk on CNBC? I would have not invited him AT ALL! This speaks of CNBC's irresponsibility to the public more than this dude. Tesla is a tech play, despite what people say about their Full Self driving, there is no one close. They have a network of superchargers will start making tons of money with everyone starting to use their chargers. There's also a chance for a new lower priced vehicle in the future. No, Toyota is not EVEN CLOSE to this. Roth Capital needs to drug test this guy!

CNBC never really had any credibility. It’s been garbage for decades with the likes of Cramer and more recently Kevin O’Leary. They will sometimes have a credible analyst on. You eventually learn whose opinion is worth listening to.
Funny how the new Tesla Cybertruck is so much in demand that they are already about 9 years behind in production. That means that no matter what, their growth is going to be way beyond any of these Clowns predictions. Tesla has also set the standard for NACS charging for other manufactures which will also make the grow at an astounding rate.

Apparently Toyota is selling EVs profitably, has solar panels/roofs, batteries for energy storage and makes money off of other manufacturers customers with superchargers. I had no idea Toyota had these things like Tesla has.
I believe tesla will reach between $300 - $325 by December 2024 if rate cuts start by June 2024 and drop by at least 2.0%. Model Y Juniper and highland will be key for Tesla to maintain their edge and keep sales from falling. I Expect Cybertruck production to achieve 250,000 units per year by Dec 2024. Giga Mexico factory will commence if interest rates drop significantly to expand 4680 & Cybertruck production and the new low cost model 2. Giga india will be announced soon. Tesla needs to improve the energy density of their 4680 battery by at least 25% with new chemistry / anode.
Mostly makes sense, except I doubt India will happen in this decade, if ever. India is more protectionist than just about any place on earth.
