And he's still short TSLA 😂😂😂. This guy has a bottomless pocket. Damn
This dude forgot the #1 rule of modern-day short selling: "Do NOT bet against Elon"!
His fund just folded yesterday, returning to their investors only 3 cents to the dollar they invested!!!
So far, Elon is"returning" to me, as a waited average of my TSLA purchases, $11 per dollar invested, and over $80 on the first tranche I invested in March 2013!
Not bottomless and not his.
I think the bottom has been found. He must have been looking for extra pockets, but that was all on him.
This aged well..LMAO...From 6 Billion to 200 million dollars.....What an investor.......
His hedge fund has just folded LOL
For some one shorting the stock who is so poorly informed and considering everything he said about FSD is incorrect deserves to get burned.
Why would chanos INSIST on sounding/looking so stupid ? Why would a smart guy want to look so incredibly foolish , AND DOUBLE DOWN on his foolishness ? fascinating.
I think it's because he only thinks he's a smart guy.
Tesla Model Y just made another historic record sales in a month here in Norway. More than any other car Brand through history.
The numbers are still ridiculously tiny.
This Dude has been throwing money at shorting tesla for years as tesla has gone up 20 times.
Kinda irrelevant, Norway population is insignificant.
Norway is irrelevant!
@@rodrigomiranda2432 May be, But interesting to note that the previous Norwegian record of a full year sales og a car Model was the WV beetle back in 1969.
And more than 50 years later the old record is being beaten by Tesla Model Y.
First i 2022 and now again in 2023.
That should tell investors something about the strength of Tesla.
lol that guy never gives up (embarrassing as hell)
He is hilarious 🤣
Dudes who miss massive rallies tell you things are “overvalued” so they can find space to get in. Lose your money shorty.
In 2019 Jim Chanos was saying the big boys were coming and nobody would be buying Tesla. How much have you lost shorting TSLA Jim?
This aged as well as a glass of fresh milk left on the counter
I guess this video was a parting shot for Chanos as a Tesla short. I would not be surprised if he came back somewhere for interviews as Tesla stock analyst. I always remember the... 'Tesla has nothing everybody else doesn't already have, they will continue to bleed money..'
He’s made it too personal against Elon. You can’t let emotions ruin your investment decision making.
Twitter? 🤪
This aged perfectly
I don’t typically rejoice over the misery of other people, but I’m making an exception.
Please elaborate! How Tesla has changed FSD development direction recently?
Chanos will lose his shirt shorting Tesla. Doesn't this guy get that Tesla is not just a car company? It's involved in batteries, power storage, charging infrastructure, chip manufacturing, AI innovation, and more. This is precisely why the US is having such a hard time advancing in innovation. Shame on him.
It begs the question, when will the people who paid for full self-driving get their $12,000 back?
One customer did by suing Tesla and won in court. That's the only way to get your money back. Tesla basically committed fraud by selling the public a product that doesn't exist.
I did, and I am happy to keep it that way. FSD was never sold as a product, but as an option towards a product. If FSD was a finished and fully authorized product, it would be priced 5-10 times higher. It is hence a financial option with no maturity date. As I am persuaded that Tesla will succeed pulling it through... I just don't know when... I consider the $10'000 I then paid a good investment.
BTW, the beta version already works beautifully 99% of the time... but Tesla has indeed to make it work 99.9999% of the time, and it is these borderline. rare situations that are the toughest to integrate.
@@st-ex8506 If it works 99% of the time, it would not be stuck at stage 2. While other car manufacturer like Mercedes is at stage 3 autonomy. You are crazy if you think any customer is going to pay 10 times for FSD, so $120,000 on top of what they have to pay for the car? lol Where as Mercedes will offer FSD as part of their luxury car when you purchase it. Tesla fanboys are highly delusional.
@@walden6272 Tesla FSD is WAY ahead of Mercedes and all the others trying... well, GME just gave up!
Tesla is developing a system that can work anywhere, not in a most limited set of well-controlled circumstances (like the Mercedes system), or a geo-fenced, thoroughly mapped and sanitized environment . (like Waymo's). It is enormously more ambitious an objective!
And yeah, a complete and certified FSD will indeed sell around $100k, because it will be worth a multiple of that to commercial operators. Think of a taxi company operating their cars 24/7. They would save the equivalent of 5 salaries, and the price of the FSD license would be paid for in less than a year.
For private owners, Tesla is more likely to rent the software by the month. So, private individuals would only pay for the car, just like today, and choose whether or not they want the FSD capability or not.
Inform yourself! I am not inventing all that, it is being discussed on countless sites.
And yes, the present version of FSD works 99+% of the time.
It'll be here next year. (next year just repeat this quote)
Mark my words, his hedge fund will not be around 2 months from this shows air date. 100% guaranteed
Same guy who said it was dead on arrival and a "fad"
Chanos talks while Elon engineers and it just happens that …
I made more money through investing in the last 15 years than Jim Chanos has made.
The only difference between Burnie Madoff and Jim Chanos is Burnie is dead, and Jim is not. I'm sure those who trusted him with their accumulative 6 Billion (worth 200 million now) are wishing Jim would join Burnie down under.
he might die at any moment, and then there would be no difference.
Can someone please offer Jim Chanos a ride on a Tesla with FSD Beta and have him confirm that it doesn't exist? Make a UA-cam video of it, would get millions of views.
Hi fanboys. You don't disappoint.
That dude is losing his ass
Hes taking investment advice from Gordon Johnson...😂
It is great to see those losers trying to convince ourselves 🤣🤣🤣🤣
True,i mean its just a car company.
Tesla is just a car company as much as Apple is just a smartphone company and Amazon is just an online bookstore.
Tesla made 87% of its profits from carsales,so what is your point?
Went looking for recent YT videos with Chanos. Seems we haven't heard from him in the last few days 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Silly bear bites the dust
This guy has loss so much money it must be embarrassing 😂
If Tesla manages to perfect FSD Chanos is fu*K'd
He already is! He is closing down his hedge fund after it went from 6 billion to 200 million!! He lost a lot of people a lot of money through his stupidity!
If I find a bag of money I'll be rich!
Haha, these guys claim they are intelligent investors, but they can't reason. If you don't know a product don't invest in it especially if you don't like the owner. He doesn't understand self driving. Did he watch the video of Elons car driving him around? Does he understand that the reason they went to a new FSD platform was because it was AI driven and it's way superior? Did he see the robot doing tasks already in it's infancy? Man these haters just love to hate. Elon bad because Elizabeth Warren told me....clue buddy...Elizabeth is a lot more evil then Elon and you need to wake your woke a.. up.
It's terrible when shorters have to come out in front of audiences and lie to stay above water. Sorry Chanos, you had better but some calls to cover your shorts before you are arrested for nudity in public.
oh boy, these folks ain't got a clue.
I've noticed - legendary !!
Elon made EV go popular in the whole world atleast couple of decades before it would have. No one else could have done it. And you expect him to be perfect in first iteration :D He is an honest man and simply admits whatever is going on, and thats why he is at the top. People understand this and love him for that and thats why he can make as many mistakes as he wants yet the support will never go away. Everyone knows Elon eventually proves his genius and suprises the world every few years and he will keep doing so.
Calling Elon Musk an honest man. Wow.
@@QuantPhilosopher89I try to be in the middle. He is the most honest CEO blowing away all the others by a mile. He way under estimates time lines but thet is goal driven. He also will not give info of a new product because he does not want to Osborne effect the current product. Once you understand this he is a very honest man especially for a CEO.
@@QuantPhilosopher89 Absolutely! Certain by far the most honest of large-company CEOs!
Give me the name of ONE person he defrauded on purpose!
He did make some "shot-from-the-hip" tweets, which violated some SEC technicalities, but never with a will to defraud.
Ridiculously technically dumb, innovation came into fruition overcoming technical challenges that’s how you create innovation say Tesla FSD it’s not without it’s challenges but if you believe in human abilities to tackle the most difficult technical challenging problems then FSD is just a matter of time, non believers to FSD or autonomous driving do have different mindset
Jim lost a lot of Money betting against Elon, did he?
You would think 🤔, that Jim has learned 📕 his lesson, did he?
FSD, DOJO Computer 🤖, Robotaxi and energy will push Tesla to 2k in 3 years,
and then we will ask Jim: “ Are you still shorting Tesla?”
doubtful
Stupid is as stupid does.
The real thing is when will the class action will happen for selling something like the lie of full self driving happen. I'm a software dev, full self driving is a lie it won't happen. This type of problem is beyond compression of any person. It's just like saying a man can move mount Everest to the other side of the planet. How this mess has dragged on for so long defies all reason. You fan boys will get severely burned one day.
Of course it’s overvalued. Look at its stock vs it’s real market share of vehicles in America
😂 only 60% of the electric market 🤣
Congrats, that’s 60 percent of 9 percent of the auto market. How many Tesla’s do you see driving around vs the rest. Get a grip.
Congrats, that’s 60 percent of 9 percent of the auto market. How many Tesla’s do you see driving around vs the rest. Get a grip.
@@oystlaYou’re misinformed.
Tesla global EV market share is 20%.
80% of EVs are not Teslas.
@@onedaily2471 Apple global smartphone market share is 20%.
80% of smartphones are not Apple iPhones, and yet Apple's market cap is higher than the market caps of all other smartphone companies combined.
Has this guy not learned his lesson?
Let’s not enrich Elon Musk further.
Democratic consumers should boycott Tesla, and
governments should stop subsidizing for his self-crashing cars.
You should short Tesla like this guy let both of you exercise poor judgment together even people making bad decisions like company
Red rag to the Tesla bulls lol
IF YOU KNOW NOTHING PLEASE DONT “TALK”
Okay boomer
Can't blame Tesla for selling FSD to willing suckers. Easy money.
Dude cut your loses you have already lost so much.
Impressive remain so confident when you have been wrong while burning his investors' funds.
TSLA's narrative changes as often as short sellers' narrative
Who is winning now ???
LOL
Doing wrong thing for 7 years...their is a reason Chanos lost so much money. You have to experiment for a long time to get the right solution.
Does this guy live under a rock 🪨. I guess he does not learn his lesson loosing money 💰
No i think you dont learn your lesson!
Ok 👌
