Tyler, you amaze me every time when you figure out how to make the“tools” you need to “get the job done” in a less expensive manner!!👍❤❤
Your one smart farmer, you can do anything, and build anything.
He really is a very smart farmer.
Glad you're safe from the fire out there it looks like it's terrible for so many people.
You astound with your ability to find a solution to all that confronts you. Someone to be admired. No sitting around and whinging or making of excuses. And no pontificating about your way being the only way. Wonderful video
Great job as Always Tyler. It is Always a Pleasure watching U work things out. Ur Work Ethic is Impeccable. Keep it Pushing, I Love It!
Tyler, it looks like you read my comment and cut your hair and goatee! Looks great and so much cooler for a busy guy in hot weather! 😅
GREAT JOB TYLER
that core sampler will definitely get the job done. Thanks for lettin us hang out at the ranch again, can't wait to see an hear what the lab has to say!
Love how the dogs stayed while you moved the cattle! Good dogs!
That "runaway drill" LMAO ! Thanks!
You certainly have 2 well trained pups! I just love watching Calli and Bellie! Always a great video! Glad you're half finished harvesting chickens. That's a big job to do by yourself, but boy won't they be tasty baked or smoked!!!🍗
Great scenery in this one and I loved seeing the dead flies, too!
Great looking herd.
You are really gifted; you’re innovative and inventive, and entertaining.
When flying into Sacramento I love to look for the rice fields. Having grown up in Western Kansas it seems so exotic. 😂 I'm in Wyoming now and we've had fires very close to town. We got a good rain last night so hopefully they are out in our area!.
Are you sure you don't have Patty amongst that herd? 😅 Tyler you are one damn smart@ss farmer !!
Genius! I have a friend in the UK and like you can make most anything. He is a videographer and jumps out of planes. He once rigged up his helmet with a SLR camera and a GoPro camera on top to get the shot. He did this by running a sturdy straw through the helmet to his mouth to press the button on top of the camera. You guys have a talent for seeing what you want to make and doing it. Send me your address and I will send you a photo of what he rigged up a couple of weeks ago.
I must admit I was really concerned about the fires on your part of the world so thanks for the update. Glad that you are not directly affected. What a fantastic photograph from Split Creek farm.
I have just discovered this channel and I subscribed. Don't know exactly why, the videos are relaxing, interesting and intelligent. It's the real America, I hope! Just normal people.
Wow - you’re very creative
That was funny when the drill was spinning that pole! 😂
That core sampler looks better then the ones you buy. Your metal working amazes me.
Necessity is the Mother of invention. Some time with thought is our best weapon of life
I can't stop this!!!! And you still got it done. Dust doesn't hurt anyone....I can't help to think you made Belly a happy dog.
Nice job 👍🏻 love your videos
You might want to check with your agricultural extension office to see if they have a corer to borrow. Don't know if there is one of those offices near you. I didn't have one so bought my own. Yours looks like it will do the job and better too!
Time “flies” on the ranch!!! If I needed to learn fabrication, I’d hire you!! Awesome video, Tyler!!! You’re amazing ❤❤❤
Love it how you can create something useful from your stock pile! Looks like it will work.
This was a great and funny and genius days work! Thank you once more! 😊🎉
I had to half close my eyes when you were putting in that self tapping screw. Don’t know how many times I’ve smashed or pierced a finger on my left had like that when it slips off. Great content!
Thank you.
Welcome to Morocco Good luck my friend 👍👋👋👏👏👏🇲🇦🇺🇸
I very much enjoy your ingenuity. I think of myself a little bit like that although it doesn’t always seem to work out at times. But I enjoyed the trying. And I like the way you think on your feet.
That Split Creek Ranch photo displays the impact of the devastation. "Incredible" yet we're looking at the proof. Thank you for sharing. Absolutely horrible. 🙏❤️
Old lady learned something new today !! I did not know that while rice is growing that it has a smell all its own. Thanks Tyler for that tidbit😮
NIce poor man's lathe!
I've tried the same methods. I cut a hole saw in to and welded the cutting portion on one end of a piece of pipe. The hay would ball up on the bit and not feed into the pipe. I also tried making one end of a piece of pipe into a bit just like the manufactured ones. It didn't work either. I have not spent $300 on a sampler. I have spent $300 on a moisture/temperature probe. This is a better tool. I just hand sample my bales. If done properly it works but takes a littler more time.
Appreciate the share Farmer Tyler. Looking forward to see if the hay corer works. Blessings bro. Keep it safe, stay strong, be healthy, discern with patience and success should flow...☝🙏🙌💪
I think you got some side houses you can do making that chicken the defeather thing, end the bale core puller thing. 😅
My FAVORITE UA-cam channel by far! Thanks Tyler...
You still have all your fingers toes and eyes etc. Taylor your safety measures are excellent.
IMHO at some time in the future, until your children are old enough, you can mentor others.
My PawPaw said the one you train to lead everyone else is called the bell cow. He would put a cow bell tied to her neck. She could come to him and her bell would ring and the other cows would follow every time.
Another excellent video 👍👍👍👍👍
I must admit, that out of control drill had me a bit concerned...But, ingenuity paid off once again. I hope it works!
A farmer has to do what he has to do to get the job done yours look like a store bought one have a good day.
My fellow South Dakotan, Ranching SoDak, says he wants to visit you! Can't wait.
I can remember cow trails in the North Carolina mountains and then milking them. I love watching all you guys do. Again and again
You made pretty awesome things I think you will be ok THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
❤ Oh my, I was ready your mind, Before you said it,I knew right away. He's gonna make one of these. If anything , your creative for sure.🏆
Another great video. You are still at 10 out of 5 stars. Thank you for bringing us along. I really like it when you make your own tools.
Wow!!! Impressed with your talents!
Just wanted to check in and say that I really enjoy your channel. Thanks. Chip
Great video, that was hilarious, for 200 bucks that was the right move, thanks for picture of the fire.
Chew-a-vision, you can definitely hear the "tearing of the grass"
The latter part of the video should be called "tools gone wild."
That part with da drill had me laughing till I was tearing up I’m almost done crashed my car fr laughing so hard now that being said ftr is a genius man but we all have our moments!! Great video !!
If the core sampler doesn't work very good. Try making one with a piece of tubing that's thinner than the pipe.
Rule of 👍 ,if the shit stacks up like a ice cream cone protein is to low if it's like a thick pan cake it's good.
Stay friends with the Rice Farmer. Any Rice spillage can be gathered for chicken feed.
I knew you would make some thing ,You’re one of the smartest men l know,, l knew it, l started laughing, just wait, you didn’t disappoint me, grandma is proud of you,
Such a great variety of things to do on the ranch. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Great video.
Loved the drill part where you were trying to figure out how to stop it.
Smokey is looking good.
Can't imagine being that close to a wildfire.
I always look forward to your videos Tyler - WTG 👍🏼
❤
My only complaint: I want a longer video 😊
but I do understand, you’re working 2(3, 4?) jobs, and getting out a video is work too
10:18 Your drill idea worked good. Next time use a drill that plugs into the wall, instead of battery operated. That way, you just unplug it when you want to stop (or use a power strip with a on/off switch). 💕🌞🌵😷
I'm thinking you might be able to borrow a core sampler from your county extension? 💕🌞🌵😷
That's what I do too
I'm thinking they'll do the testing too? 💕🌞🌵😷
💖💖💖💖💖
47 days till Fall
Another good day on the FTR!!
I bet it will work. And can I say that it only takes one that knows the ropes for moving and that one was a heifer! Just saying.
Are you still planning to bale some rice stalks this year? 💕🌞🌵😷
Well shucks, I hoped to see the hay sampler work.
For the most representative result from the hay core, take the sample through the net wrap into the center. If you take it from the flat face you are still only sampling a very small distribution of hay and might as well use the needle nose pliers.
Any updates on the 2 bottle calves, or did I miss it?
Great Video!! I'm awed by your genius but can't stop laughing ,,,,,,,,, "I don't know how to stop this"........Thanks!
This is in fact funny;) And yes, genius too ;)😅
And we viewers love that he is humble and comfortable enough to share what many would be embarrassed by. If you can't laugh at yourself...
Hahahaha that was funny. ‘’ it’s alive” lol.
@@stonermeister Right! And risk terrible comments again with lots of better knowers. Tyler stands it all and takes the risk. Great to watch!
Can't wait to see the hayHore sampler working😊
Tyler, just a thought. If the steers follow the heifer - is it because their instinct is to follow a cow? Or would a trained steer like Buddy do as well?
If you pull your leading cow as you said, you may have problems after you bring her home to the ranch?
13:04 this is a good place for rice stalks. 💕🌞🌵😷
You look so nice without all that hair everywhere. You must feel better, too.
I never saw a follow up to your hay sampler. I'm guessing it didn't work, same as what I found out by trying similar methods. I would be interested if your experience was any better.
Could you keep the drill on it to cut into the bale fore your core?
are you planning to do rice straw again for the cows?
Makes me wonder where they came up with the saying "Sewing your wild Oat's". Suprising wild oats have low nutritional value. Thats why I like listening to this channel you learn something every video.
Our parish/ county agent office has them pull core samples in Louisiana.
I don't know how far away you are to call and ask if you could use one.
💖💖💖💖🙏🙏
You tube recomendation was how I found this cannel so everyone like and subscribe
Thx
I knew you would make a hay core sampler when you said how much they cost. You are very talented.
How many head of cattle do you have
FTR, I noticed a calf at 14:35 that’s light colored with a dark spot in the midsection. Is that the coloring of the calf or is it just dirty?
That’s a calf that was standing behind Mama at the wrong time, if you catch my drift!
How many total head of cattle do you have?
Tyler has 80.
Will you be getting rice bales this year
I would love to do dis stuff again
LOL At 11:20 I thought I had switched over to the RED GREEN show.
Do the rice field operators want your property for expansion?
Looks damn good to me...hope OSHA isn't watching😄
Lol, she probably has you trained, heifers be that way!😉
Remember the disclosure for the core sampler “Patent pending”😂😂
Sun Screen why your face so Red Tyler., I know you use it I Hope., I always Enjoy your Videos 8-8-2024❤
Ohhhh take a mask with you. All that dust you're breathing in. Don't want Farmers Lung. 👍👍👍💯💯💯
Put a load of sand in your mud hole
Amazon has hay core sampler for $149.
