In this episode of Ask the Expert, we will cover antidepressants, treatment options, and how to support someone with suicidal thoughts.
When ALL doctors out there will understand that treating depression on the surface - medication - will not help in the long term, that will be the moment when they will dive deeper into the root cause of depression, which is different for everyone, in order to understand it, to deal with it. One common cause that exists in every depressed person, is low self-esteem triggered by one or multiple events. Increase your chances to heal depression, start focusing on YOUR SELF-CONCEPT.
Medication can help you, but it will not fix the root cause of it. Best wishes to all of you!

Denisa Stancu ,you absolute right .I have been dealing with depression for more than 15 years ,I decided to try medication ,I tried like 6-8 different antidepressants ,and still today I feel depressed I had therapy ,I do walks try to eat healthy but still feel like I want to sleep the much I can take avenage of any time because I always feel tired and sleep y so I don't know what to do
I am suffering bad I was married to a narcissist for 6 years a pastor and he abuse me and now putting myself first is so hard 😢

The mindfulness book "30 Days to Reduce Depression" by Harper Daniels has really good exercises to relieve depression.

@@satyampandey890 Reduce negative thoughts. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, eyes closed, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight with your thoughts. Slowly they will reduce and relax the mind. Deep inhalation-exhalation is not needed. Anytime of the day or night before sleep sit or lie down and observe your breath. Be as still as possible as it reduces negative thoughts. Make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Idk why im even looking at this. I’ve never been depressed or anything and I’ve been so happy with life for the 14 yrs I’ve lived but today, my parents moved my bed to a new spot in my room, dont judge me people I genuinely cant explain it but now im in bed and just feel depressed for no reason. It doesnt feel right that the bed is at this new spot but at the same time it feels like this is where it should be. I have school tomorrow and im up at nearly 2 am just crying rn. Idk why either. Everything just changed for me for some reason. I just keep thinking about old memories from when I was like 11 and stuff, no bad memories or anything but everything is just making me sad rn. I dont know what happened to me-

I remember that happened to me before! I came home from a trip and my whole room was reorganized!!!! It was so traumatic for me

Please don't kill yourself. I understand how problems can feel overwhelming especially if you're dealing with them alone, but most problems can be solved with help. Don't give up!

As a trans woman who has bpd, it’s fair to say I’ve had very bad depressive phases, feeling outside, different and experiences fear of abandonment 😢, I take Prozac and clonidine, one to help me get up and one for sleep, please don’t let it get the best of you

Because marijuana isn't suitable with everyone. It can cause even more depression for such individuals who are not suitable.

Depression is also called slow death which kills the person from the inside making it difficult to perform daily routine regular activities also. I think there were a lot of general information about medication and help, so not necessarily only for women! The doctor was expert in women's health but also in many other areas.
