    This is the most interesting video I have seen in at least the past 5 years! Thank you for sharing this information. I have lived in, or enjoyed a long-term trip in a few different countries, including Venezuela, Colombia, South Africa and Angola. All wonderful experiences, but for a season. I'd not even given Paraguay much consideration let alone visit ... until very recently, Now I am intrigued. Greatly.
    I'm going to check out your other videos. God bless you and your family. Dios les bendiga. =)

    You guys sound wise for your age. I am a Christian as well and I agree completely with what you are saying about the U.S. going downhill. I have traveled somewhat internationally and I've been living in Taiwan for the last 4 years. But I have been looking into moving to Latin American and Paraguay popped up because my wife has a friend from college that was from Paraguay and is living in Taiwan at the moment as well. It looks like a good place to start a family. I am concerned about the economy as well and see a lot of people in Taiwan buying gold and silver as a little insurance in case the dollar loses its value. Can you buy that kind of thing in Paraguay? Also maybe you answered this in video 2, but did you have any difficulty finding work down there? Congratulations on your baby girl and thank you for sharing your story!:)

    • @paradiseinparaguay7714

      Thanks very much and you're very welcome! We just try to stay informed as much as possible and trust that wherever we go, God will be with us. Also, thanks for the congrats in regards to the baby! We have done a bit of research into the purchase of gold and silver in Paraguay, but not much. It seems as if there are sellers and brokers of precious metals here, but we do not have much detailed information about that yet. Additionally, there are many small, independent jewelry stores, and generally, they have signs posted that they buy gold. There are many pawn shops, and sometimes, they have those signs posted as well. So, I would guess they would sell it as well (ideally by weight and not as jewelry), but I am not sure. Generally, all banks and financial institutions offer foreign currency exchange, with the US Dollar, Paraguayan Guarani, Brazilian Real, and Argentine Peso available to exchange, so that is an easily accessible avenue to hedge against the dollar falling (PY Guarani, not the peso or real at the moment due to their economic problems). In regards to work, or employment, we came down here with a broad range of skills, with the intent to establish businesses and invest, rather than to work for someone else. For us, even with non-fluent Spanish, it has been quite easy to network, which is essential down here. If you have marketable skills, especially if you know Spanish, then it should not be hard to find work, as American quality skills and craftsmanship are in demand, for those who can afford it. As this is a developing country, the population is growing rather quickly, as compared to developed nations, so there is much opportunity to grow with the nation, business-wise. If you do not know Spanish, and/or do not have any marketable skills, knowing English is a great asset, because not many people down here speak it fluently, but "everyone" wants to learn. One could make good money (for down here) teaching English for an institute or privately. Many expats that we have met, started out that way, used that as a way to network and then springboard them into something else. Thanks for your interest and questions. Perhaps we will cover some of these topics more in-depth in future videos. Good luck with your future plans as well and may God bless you and your family!

      @@paradiseinparaguay7714 I just saw y'all are from Detroit. I'm from Flint myself. Still getting myself ready to make that move. Did y'all ever find out anymore on buying gold and silver coins? I think it's a good idea to hold some other currencies but they are actually in worse shape than the USD is. So I see em as the only alternative to a worse case scenario. A lot of financial gurus like Robert Kiyosaki and such are telling folks to hold some gold and silver too and those guys are rich for a reason lol. I'm brushing up on my Spanish everyday so by the time I get out there around August I should be alright. Anyways God bless you and your family! Take care, John.

      @@paradiseinparaguay7714 Thank you guys for that link. Careful with the crypto because there are no limits on supply. They can be forked and created at will. Also if the oligarchs force all into it at some point it kind sounds like the mark of the beast system to me. Gold is God's money and its mentioned all throughout the bible. I wish we could move, we do t feel secure in our future in the US. Will Paraguay let someone immigrate there if they have a past felony? My husband got a felony when he was 18 and it sets so many barriers for him. We just want to go and start over.

    • @paradiseinparaguay7714
      @paradiseinparaguay7714  5 років тому +1

      Hi Heidi, Paraguay does require an FBI background clearance before allowing an immigrant to have residency, so if anything comes back on it that they don't like, they may not grant that person residency. But it doesn't stop anyone from visiting as much as they want.

    • @heidimariem8851

      I’ve been looking into it and people have said that after I decide for sure, and get a immigration caseworker( or whatever who manages that process is called) to write them letters, get letters from his parole officer, and character references) it would be worth a try! Thank you for your response!

    • @paradiseinparaguay7714
      @paradiseinparaguay7714  5 років тому

      Thank you Suresh! We're so glad we changed our lives! As far as buying land, that's actually one of our plans as well when we get ready. We don't have a straight forward answer to your question because it heavily depends on many factors, especially the area. Also, we haven't done extensive research on land for ourselves just yet...but the lowest price ranges we've found in the past have started in the ball park of around 2k - 3k a hectare while we've also come across prices that were much higher than that, so it really depends. I would suggest contacting a real estate agent here to find out the info you need by doing a google search. Real estate agents here are called "imobilarias". Hope that helps!
