This was very helpful! I have not sewn an elastic waistband this way before. It turned out very cute on my linen shorts. Thank you for the easy tutorial :D
Could you please tell us what kind of needle and stitch was used? And did you sew unto the elastic when putting it in or next to it to “trap” it closely? How did the stitches top and bottom allow the fabric to gather after the elastic was put in?
I have put the measurements in cm in the video, you can convert it to inches. In the following videos, I will improve and add inches to the video. Thank you very much for watching my video.
Lol only America, Myanmar & Libia, use imperial. The rest of the world uses metric. If the rest of the world can use a converter for American measurements, then surely you can do it for once, for metric. It's *really* not that hard. If you can understand money, you can understand metric
Where has this been all my life!! No more feeding with a pin! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'm pretty sure they used the normal needle with a normal straight stich. They didn't sew into the elastic itself but "trapped" it/ created a channel
Very clear and simple. Thanks

This is very close to how I do mine.

I found the perfect video until I saw cm😭. Please tell in inches
I just read your comment about it being in CM…perfect video if she had given the equivalent in inches. Oh well, we’ll have to convert!

Just use the opposite of your measuring tape or ruler.

Are you unable to convert it for yourself! Really?
