Ignore the haters. I hope they never have to experience why your binder is so important. I absolutely love your goat binder and I am beyond thankful for you and your wealth of knowledge that you have taken time out of your days that could’ve been spent with your family and your goats getting snuggles, to share your knowledge with all of us. Without you and your goat binder I would lost so many goats. Their are not enough small livestock vets in our area or the ones we have stay so busy they can’t always get to our farms in time if at all. So ignore those that unfortunately will one day end up wishing they had really watched and listened to you as you were only trying to help others. My herd and myself here at RJ’s G.O.A.T Misfits Farm thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Much love and goat cuddles from Tennessee all the way to Montana

I’ve also provided a lot of free resources and free courses on how to raise goats in that first 6 minutes. So don’t miss those! LOTS of people have gone through them. 😊
We are getting two goats from my neighbor. He will be our mentor along with your helpful videos. I have my pen done and a shelter. These little lady’s will just be pets.
I just got 2 goats last night. Nigerian dwarf doe and her kid, Maggie Mae and Miranda. I know some things about goats but love learning more from others who are more experienced

Thanks Delci! This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. I’m only 22 but I dream of having a hobby farm with goats and sheep someday! I like to watch videos about how to care for *various* animals to destress and remember what I look forward to in my future! I’m totally subscribing, it looks like you have so many helpful videos that I can learn from! Thanks 😊
Ohmygosh. That white goat is so majestic!! My family is picking up our goats in a few days and I’m so nervous. I can’t wait! We’re also getting a ram. Cant wait!
I just moved to a mobile home on a working goat and sheep farm in W. Tx. I Spring I plan to have just one nanny for making my own feta cheese. I have a great large lot that has sturdy panel metal fencing. I would like to have a few chickens also. Thanks for making these videos, it will help me a lot as my landlord is pretty busy!
Ok. So. Some People aren’t happy with my video 😬🤷🏼♀️ Sorry about that! This free information was just trying to help people raise healthy goats. If you don’t want to hear about My Goat Binder, go to 4:28 of the video. But don’t miss out either: alifeofheritage.krtra.com/t/8pfRVvA5o9Za I’m not ashamed to say that over 5000 people have gotten this book already. And it’s been, literally, a lifesaver. Do you know how many emails I get about sick goats? Let’s not let that be an email from you. You can also read the information on my site: www.alifeofheritage.com/farm-living/before-bringing-home-your-first-goat/ (Reading might save you time) You want goats. I fully and happily support that decision. But I also think it’s important to be prepared. And to know what you need to keep goats healthy and happy. I couldn’t go into all the details about every single topic because the video would be hours and hours long. But I could say, “go watch the video about it on my channel”. So, yeah, if that’s an advertisement, I guess it is but I didn’t know how to do it any other way. If you don’t want to watch this video, just start watching my raising goats playlist and get all the information that way. Truly, I was just trying to be helpful. I did not mean to offend by mentioning My Goat Binder or other videos on my channel or by telling my own getting goats story. And...I hope you get your goats SOON and get all the goat snuggles in as possible!! 🥰🐐🥰
Some people complain if you hang them with a new rope. I liked the idea that you offer multiple videos. That way can focus on information you need, or is relevant. For example, I live in Florida, so dont need as much information on keeping them warm.
What could possibly be wrong with your video? I thought it was great and provided some extremely helpful resources. Please don’t let others discourage you. I appreciated the video and am looking forward to watching all the others you mentioned. God bless you!
I just found you and ordered the binder. We have wanted goats for a while and with milk going up to about $200 per month and driving weekly, I figure we can own goats for less or at least not more and no weekly drive. I'm grateful to find all the information I need in a ready made format from someone who really cares about their animals. Thank you.

Thank you for the presentation I’ve one major concern I’m in East Texas and the rainy seasons are back to back I imagine I’ll need to create a raised paddock area for housing the goats right I just purchased the course as well to study this winter and work on design plans
I'm glad you mentioned the hoof clipping I'm looking at everything in thought of getting a goat in the future and I didn't think about that is it hard? Do they kick you? Can they feel it like finger nails or like not at all
I do manual trimming, but I also picked up a special Dremel bit that grinds very hardened hoof spots. I bought a couple Saanen to go with my Nubians, and those 2 had rock hard hooves that had over growth on the inner sides. No way I could trim them with hoof shears. Hand rasped them with a file but it was just too slow going. Got the dremel bit, $1.95 and it worked like a dream. So much cheaper than buying an electric goat hoof trimmer too! It took a couple months to get their hooves growing normal again, but now I can use the regular goat hoof shears. I really like your videos, I rewatch some, save some and try to stay up to date with them. You have some very good tips and helpful tools. I’m not super new to goats, but I like hearing, seeing new ideas, and reminders of stuff I sometimes forget. I’m 60 yrs. old and grew up on a farm, loved it and continued on in my adult life here and there. Bought my grandparents farm, in 1993 and made it into a 3 generation farm. Just found your channel! We are planning to move from the suburbs of California to some acreage soon to escape all the crazy politics here, crowds and high cost of living. I wanted to start a small homestead and include goats, starting very small just 3-5 Nigerians and Nubians. We’ll see where we go from there lol but as basically a city slicker this information is invaluable.. def will be getting that binder soon!!

I’m so sorry it felt overwhelming. That’s definitely not my intent! But I do want to provide as much info as possible to people. The free resource page will have the PDF sheets for goats. And then I do have the free goat courses you can go through as well. vip.alifeofheritage.com has those resources.
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Thank you. We get the new goats in a few weeks. The woman boarding are surviving buck (Predator got in and killed our doelings in November… including my Christmas goat) had an extra surprise batch of kids and offered us first pick. Currently busy with the task of predator proofing. We caught a husky looking dog in the empty pen several times in the last month. Awaiting the OK from animal control to lay out traps.
Delci question on your Hay feeder, what happens when a very hard rain comes and it gets wet ? I see you have a cover but sides are open. Thank you for your reply. We are in East Geogia and get lots of Rain storms during the year. I can see the Hay getting soaked.....Will it just dry out?
I would personally keep it covered if we had more rain than we do but probably nothing more than I already have. Just this last week I had to uncover the hay in the feeder I use from a big snow drift. They weren't doing very well at getting to that hay lol But I think goats will eat wet hay as long as it's not allowed to get moldy in the process. Don't feed them any more than they need in one feeding though so it will just get eaten before it dries out or is wasted. If you can keep the feeder on a higher spot on your property so that the rain will drain away and not make puddles around the feeder, your goats will be much happier. Goats really, really don't like to get wet, be wet and their feet aren't happy in a lot of wet. I've seen some goat barns where the hay is just fed inside and I've done that in the past but it takes a lot of work to keep the hay from becoming a 4 feet deep mess. But continual cleaning and removing it will help it not be the most arduous and difficult task once a year.
Wow good thing i chdcked i was going to bring in two dwarf goats but if its that intense scares me. I have a farm with horses dogs chickens and cats but no book 😅if they get sick they go to vet. Lol
Hi I’m interested in starting to raise goats, I liked & commented & subscribed. Can I please have info on how to get a binder of the goat life like the one you have please?
Hi Delci, I recently bought some acreage and am preparing for when I have my additional animals. Looking forward to moving so I can get goats, guineas, and chickens! Do you have any tips for keeping them on my property while letting them roam a little in certain areas (so I don’t have to brush cut some areas), but they’ll go back into their enclosed pasture area afterwards? I’m scared they’ll run off or be hard to catch and re-contain in their fenced area. Thanks for all your wisdom and help!
You need to add into your videos as a "WARNING" goats, mini pigs, bird flocks etc. get addicting lol. We inherited 2 goats from a sister in law after her passing and that began our journey. Billy and Bob. Next came Walter and Kong, then Joe showed up who was suppose to be a doe ( he wasn't and turned into a rescue). THEN Hamilton and Hank, the mini pigs, and have amassed 130+- birds of different breeds. One thing that alot of people don't know about ( info is out there if you look ) but you might be able to get it out faster are LGD. Sadly our GSD who we had for 8 years was not :(
Literally the exact same situation is happening to me we got her when we didn't have a sense up she follows me everywhere and she can't stand being alone and we've only had her for 3 days currently she's been sleeping in our bathroom but we are getting are fence put up now
I just got 2 male goats, they are Nigerian Dwarfs. One will eat out of my hand but the other. But they don't let me touch them or give any lovins to them. How do you get them to get there?
When I had my crazy goat, I did put a long leash on her (made sure it was safe so it didn't get caught on anything) and went out and just handled her a lot. Loved on her, brushed her, and milked her. I think the milking was a bonding time for us. With that not being possible for your males, giving them grain on a milking stand or in a special spot, will encourage and help them want to go to that place with you (because they get grain) but if you also brush them and love on them, they'll start to love that too. It just takes time, patience and lots of scratches under their chin 😊 Don't give up! They'll turn the corner and love you!
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Thank you so much for the tips, I'm definitely going to give them a try. I'll let you know when things change. 😊 I so appreciate you taking the time to reply to me....you are very sweet!!
Someone either lost or abandoned their goat. Trying to take care of her, and thought about getting another one for a friend. I know very little about taking care of goats. Help!
I wasn't trying to come off negative. I'm new at this. I watched a few videos and all say it's very simple. But as I started watching your video, the 1st 10mnts literally changed my mind on having goats. Seems more then headaches and I don't need more added to my plate. I'm just wanting to raise a little profit, I have 5-6 acres . And instead of just mowing or brush hogging it ,why not put it to use. I figured raise 5- 10 goats for small profit margin and take to auction. I don't eat goats. Or their milk or butter or what not. I tried blueberry goat cheese once and it tasted the same way a urinated straw barn smells and thar was enough for me. So it's just for the auction. I figured 8-9 months get them to weight then sell. If that's possible
@@chasingalaska3997 that’s a good plan! If you’re planning to raise goats long term it is important to know how to keep them healthy long term. Follow any goat vet group on Facebook and you’ll see the heart break of goat lovers trying to save their sweet goats. They are easy if you’re prepared. They are hard if they get sick or you aren’t ready for them. So just get ready. And then they are easy! I’ve had my heart break too, because raising animals means there are difficulties sometimes. Good luck! And many blessings!
Thank you for this. My husband came across a great opportunity to get a bunch of free baby goats, and we want to use them as land management animals, I just don't know anything about them, so I found my way here.
I so want goats for our homestead, lived here for 3 years and have chickens cats and farm dogs, I think nits time to move a head and get a few goats...help
Had a goat almost 20 minutes before he left our sight as we talked and then heard brakes locking up. The goat and both my Dalmatians were hit by a church van full of kids heading to church……..
PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT USE THE PREMIER 1 FENCING. IT STRANGLED MY GOAT TO DEATH 4 DAYS AGO. IM DEVASTATED. LET MY SWEET BABY HAZEL SAVE YOUR GOAT. GET REAL FENCING NOT LOOSE FENCING THATS MOVABLE. SHE SUFFERED A HORRIBLE DEATH. I STRUGGLE DAILY TO GET PAST THIS. PLEASE GET RID OF THOSE KINDS OF FENCING. NO ONE EVER WARNED ME.
The only thing that I would wonder about is if the filter water had all the nutrients filtered out as well. For instance, we have a filter on our house water but it remineralizes the water and then I add mineral drops to it to make it taste better. That’s one reason I really want to collect rain and snow water ultimately. But the filtered water may be a better option, depending on how bad the water is to start with 🤷🏼♀️
LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! I was curious, I have a very well trained mountain curr, 6 years old Would they have any issues together or could I allow them to free roam our property together? Will they form a pack?
I'm not familiar with Mountain Currs. Goats can get accustomed to a dog, especially if they are raised from birth with one. My goats weren't raised with dogs and my dogs don't spend time with them, so when the dogs come around, the goats are on high alert.

I am going to get a meat goat soon do you have any tips for that goat or do you do only milking goats
I bought the binder and it’s great! Thanks

They weren't doing very well at getting to that hay lol
But I think goats will eat wet hay as long as it's not allowed to get moldy in the process.
Thank you for your reply....Great information
I am getting goats pretty soon - is your binder updated annually or are things pretty much the same from your original binder?
I'm picking up my first two dairy goats this afternoon and your video reassured me that I'm prepared (if a bit nervous). Thank you!
This makes me so happy! I'm so happy for you! I hope it all went smoothly!
ooh how are they doing now?
Yes, we need an update!
Wow good thing i chdcked i was going to bring in two dwarf goats but if its that intense scares me. I have a farm with horses dogs chickens and cats but no book 😅if they get sick they go to vet. Lol

@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage is it safe for me to keep my two roosters when I get them?
Hi Delci,
I recently bought some acreage and am preparing for when I have my additional animals.
Yes I’d love to know this as well. Some free roam time would be interesting.
I am trying to find the original Goat Life site- with Madolly, Perri Drew, Boonie....?
Hi! I'm wondering if the tips and the binder are made for all breeds of goats?
Yes! All breeds! 😊
wow Deici ! you seem to be so organised ! I am impressed . Thanks for sharing .... I think goats are great pets .
They are the best :)
Play at 1.25x speed.. was magical
lol
Love me some goat magic! 🪄 🐐 💨
Sadly our GSD who we had for 8 years was not :(
We have two little Nigerian Dwarf does (nannies) and Baron Stinky Billy goat...lol our buck (billy).
We have to call a vet to get any medication here in canada.
Literally the exact same situation is happening to me we got her when we didn't have a sense up she follows me everywhere and she can't stand being alone and we've only had her for 3 days currently she's been sleeping in our bathroom but we are getting are fence put up now
Ah 😊 what a sweet little goat. I hope she’s doing well!
Can you tell me is there a way to buy your goat binder already printed? Thank you.
@@CoachMarla I wish you all the best! 😊 And do keep me updated!
Which binder do I order
Just got my first goat bloated to dead right before i found out you can use a garden hose to fix it.
Someone either lost or abandoned their goat. Trying to take care of her, and thought about getting another one for a friend. I know very little about taking care of goats. Help!
I knew there had to be a catch. $$$. I'm sure it's a lot ,and worth every cent, but I'd rather learn as I go. Everyone's experience is different
Just follow the time stamps in the description. It’s that simple to keep learning. 👍🏻
Ah! What fun! I hope all those baby goats have been a blessing to you!

Do goats care if they drink nonfiltered water I saw u use rain water but does filtered water make any difference
Is it possible to leave goats alone while you’re on a trip, like chickens?
we are now getting goats! this was so helpful!
Congratulations on your new (or almost new) goats! Yay! I'm so excited for you! And I'm so glad this was helpful!
