The OKC M9 bayonet ain't bad but I can't fathom the reason why they removed the weight releiving blade fuller and the sheath mounted blade sharpening stone that used to be on the original Buck/Phrobis and Lancay M9 bayonets.
Kind of the same deal with me - I had a Buck Phrobis years ago & sent it to a friend. Couldn’t live without an M9 so here we are! Cool piece of history 😎🇺🇸
Good knife but as far as a bayonet goes its useless. It will stick in ribs clothing skin etc. So as your trying to pull your 10k m4 outta the guts of the dead you get zapped.
When my dad was in 101st the first thing they taught him with his bayonet was if it gets stuck shoot and it’ll get unstuck it’s on the end of a rifle for a reason
To be proficient on the battlefield with a Bayonet or Knife the blade should be at least 8". Are there any actual people here with experiences on this? I known there is a lot of variables.
One of the most useless, heavy and cumbersome bayonetes ever issued. Having had to carry both, I would take an M7 over an M9 any day. If the M9 was more streamlimed and practical like the 3rd gen AK bayonetes, it would be a much better carry. The M9 is just too much to be lugging around all day.

Good eye! Yeah I agree that’s definitely too bad that Fuller was cool 🔪😎
Wish it had the old style straight grip. It’s an iconic look.
I do like that grip as well but this one is pretty dang comfy 👍🏼👍🏼😎🔪🇺🇸

So he does use an M9 in the new one? Old knife was maybe a Mercworx.

I’ve heard that from soldiers about the M7 - that it was a more practical all around fighting/field knife than the M9. Thanks for info!
Never liked the M series, i prefer KABAR or OCK3S,
I don't like the look😂
The Ka-Bar is military knife iconic for sure & so is the M9 🔪😎
Ok bayonet, terrible knife.
You don’t know what you don’t know 👍🏼
