That is how I stay interested in the world Ryan. On my I pad . Since I have reduced mobility at 88. That is also why I love your channel . I have been to Schotland and Ireland. I came from Holland 40 years ago to marry my Canadian in California. Still Dutch. Demo is doing great on camera ! I love to see her with the kids ! So sweet. Thanks for your fascinating channel !
🙏💕🌷🇳🇱
Yes, channel is great. After a few years in Thailand nothing new however a nugget here or there can surprise one. At 70 I am happy to wake up every morning 😊 ... and clock ticking. Plan to be living in Thailand 100% with thai wife by 71. Health will do what it does wherever I am.
Love seeing the "real life" and culture of Thailand. Thank you for sharing.
Always great to see the markets . Always interesting and informative and entertaining
Your channel is literally my lifeline right now! I have 5 months and 2 weeks before i escape the hell that is Europe. I love the life you present, i love your value system and Damo is my heroine. Thank you for posting- its such a ray of sunshine in a hellhole
Thanks for sharing another interesting trip to the Market. Always good to see what's around.
I love Thai food. We have 2 Thai restaurants close to my home. Such nice people. Probably not spicy enough for you. ❤️🌷❤️
Your Thai is certainly far better than mine Ryan, well done mate 👏🏻 Good video as always
Lovely vid, mate. Always uplifting and positive. You're a good man 👍👍😊
Always a fun time watching your channel, seeing life in Thailand and on the farm. Very heartwarming and relaxing. You and Damo are so lucky to have found one another.
We are blessed to live in this beautiful country. Cheers from Samui again, Claude
Great video as always. I've always wondered how you originally got into the hospitality business when you got to South East Asia. Do you have a video specifically on that journey and how you found the jobs + progressed and what not? Much love, Keep doing what you guys are doing.
Thanks for taking us along guys! LOVE THE VIDEO ❤
Thank you both for such a good video. You are exuding positive vibes, radiant! 🙏🌹
Before I lived in Thailand I was used to going to the supermarket every 2 weeks and stock up on food. Here (Isan) that just isn't possible so now I just go to the market every other day or use the village mobile "food" truck that drives around selling meat/vegetables daily.
At first I tried Lotus/Big C but it doesn't work like that (my wife would want to go to the Market the next day even though we just buy food lol) They just live life day by day, and there’s nothing I can do to change that.
Now I go to the big stores once or twice a month to get cleaning supplies and other "western" products (maybe some cheese or wine) you can’t find locally. But food it’s better/healthier to buy locally. Anything more high end or specific you can get it online (Lazada) or bigger stores. Living in Isan It’s like living in 2 Worlds (the local outside your house and then your own World inside ).
Found I can go weeks with planning and living off land, however I just love the interaction of going to the market and treating people for the joy.
Always a joy to watch your videos. How I would love to
live like you
Fascinating. To a Canadian from Toronto, this is a different world. But it is very relatable. Everywhere we enjoy eating food with our family. Every culture has wonderful food just waiting to be experienced.
Thanks for taking us along. The information and entertainment was good too. Wish I was in Thailand Take care Damo & Ryan
I smiled all the way through this video. Fantastic. I love Thai language lessons too.
Appreciate the “Classifier” Lesson. Very helpful!
Lovely couple (I think it's rare to find what you guys have). Regarding the price, I think the combination of suitable prices and quality is one of the charms of rural Thailand. Of course, the people too. Khon Thai Jai Dee is not just a saying, right?🤗😍👍🙏
Love your language videos thanks, I always learn something new.
Once you actually start learning and speaking it, you'll realize that it's much simpler than many other languages, and there are many things about the Thai language that actually makes it much easier to speak than many of the other so-called "difficult languages." And The Thai language is the official language of Thailand and so used in everyday use by around 69 million people in this southeastern Asian nation. Thai is actually the most common dialect used by people in eastern and central Thailand. That's the 5 Great Reasons Why It's Worth Learning the Thai Language. I love your own opportunity by making your loved ones feels more understanding your Thai language information how and why you're using Thai language to her more than 10 years.
It’s actually a lot more difficult in Buriram as Khmer is quite commonly used as well as Laos depending on where you are but yes they also speak Thai as well but I really struggle with the dialect / accent in Buriram more than I do in say Bangkok.
Durian is about £12 kg in Leeds. My father-in-law is pretty much the same as yours, if you wouldn't eat it's on his menu.
Your Thai is so much better than mine! Since most people speak English here I will have to take a class to improve my Thai. Watching before going for dinner. Now I have to go for Penang Moo !!
Practice makes perfect.
😂😂😂
Lovely guys as always. Thanks for sharing Thai snipits helpful if I can remember if course lol❤
great vid guys, amazing the difference between here and the west regards prices.
take me there .can not wait to go back again thanks guys
I enjoy your Thai lessons!
teach Otis to grow oyster mushroom, sell to market , and all the finacial obligations plus saving part of the profit, he will need to learn his own banking also,
Always like watching your videos Ryan and Damo
Made me laugh at the beginning one of our 7 dogs is called Moo Ping and she's yappy 😂
Arrived in BKK from Australia a couple of days ago, first job go to local market and buy enough clothes for a month, I donate all to the motor bike in front of our condo when we leave, and then a dish of kowMunGai for her and Gang Pet for me.
That was great 👍👏.
I LOVE those pants on Damo! I want some🤣🤣🤣
You popped a great video bud!!! i really need to improve my issan here in buriram.....what you were saying was good teaching!!!! thanks krap!!
More More more of these language lessons 🙏
OMG, the amount of sugar on that dessert...
My wife and I have a food trailer here in Massachusetts. We charge wayyyy more for Thai food here than in Thailand that's for sure!
Btw Ryan, EVERYONE is more chatty than Damo, but she’s chatty once you get her engaged 😉
Rambutan costs 60 Baht per kg in Phuket.
Yeah classifiers. I remember from my Thai school.
Moo ping is my favorite breakfast there. I can literally eat that, pad kra pow, larb, and papaya salad everyday. Thailand is the greatest!!!
my parents just called it object "pronouns", but "classifier" might be better term
You thie great 🎉
One quid 😅 loved that
Ryan, please stop referring to it as "Tesco Lotus' now purely Lotus !!! Tesco got out a couple of years ago 555
Miss my village back soon
Very cute together yous are
❤❤❤
Yes, shopping locally is a big part of my simple philanthropy to the working Thais here. I have friends who actually go to the bigger markets to save money, yet they have transportation, which as you know costs money for gas and all. Great for a family, but unnecessary for single expats IMO. Many Chinese tourists here now are all buying durian, also very good for the local Thai vendors. Hope you got some rain this week like we did here in Chonburi, still too hot most days, but getting better. As always, Peace and Love Y'all
PS, I love to browse the "vintage" junk sellers at the market 555
Ow durian……..my wife loves it. I can’t stand the smell. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love watching this, just wish not so much plastic in the world
Are there any rentals available nearby you?
Mo, do you have any daily health care traditions you can share with us? I am also in your momma and does she have a specific diet or use natural remedys?
👍
Test your Thai by doing the Matium Thai school exams and see if you can pass
🙏🙏
My my......

No fridge and sun on the meat worries me. Chicken, pork and seafood all the more dangerous stuff.
Is it to hot there for mainstream meat. Sheep, cows & deer? I thought there would be breeds that could hack it under shade
I sometimes wonder if we in the West have been conned by the refrigeration industry ... and their affiliated politicians? Much, if not most, of the world operates without refrigeration ... and do just fine.
3 tshirts for $10 in gift shops all over in America, much better quality than in Thailand
Yea I wasn’t really talking about America’s just central New York and the rents 👍

Do you have a reason for using the wrong A sound in your Thai pronunciation? Could it be related to the way people speak English where you are from? I get that the word Farang is commonly mispronounced so when talking with other foreigners it might seem easier to use the wrong A sound to aid understanding with people who also use that form. It is the same with words like "island" which is universally mispronounced by foreigners. But when you are speaking with Thai people wouldn't it be more appropriate to use the correct A sound? I guess I am assuming you can hear the difference. I have commented before so I hope you know I am not trying to wind you up.🙏
It could be but which word are you referring to? If it’s only farang it’s because I say it that way out of habit - I do the same with a pattaya. I think those two words have something to do with how I visualize them in English when I say them. But maybe you are referring to a different word here
@@lifeinruralthailand Pretty much every word spelled with the vowel ๅ you pronounce with the แอะ sound. At least that is how it sounds to me. Changing the vowel can change the word. Three and the classifier, for example, were pronounced this way.
@@villagefarangI have never had a Thai or my wife misunderstand, nor correct it, so I have probably continued to say it how I am saying it. The only time i heard this was with how I say the word “farang” and it was from another expat not a Thai, so I continue with it this way. I will however run this past damo to hone the sound 👍
@@lifeinruralthailand She will probably just say it is cute so as not to embarrass you. Thais are sweet that way.
Actually she corrects my Thai quite viciously everytime haha
😍
