    I bought this boat only because of your video. Today it is after a great refresh, we installed solar panels with an energy bank. The boat is beautiful. Of course, the entrance to the engine room is from the outside today. And the washing machine has found a new place. Regards and thank you Maciej from Poland.

    I love this Nick. When we chatted was this the one that a disabled person would like. The lift is great for a 35M, prefer it outside the main cabin. So no visiting mates keep pressing the lift lol. For a vessel built in 2000, with a 2017 upgrade for €2,450, 000 (with a unique lift layout, and that cool touch adding an upper helm deck (upper deck from sun deck.). The layout of this vessel is beautiful. The 2017 overhall has been done to an amazing standard. Great workshop with fridge in the engine room. 32knots is a nice speed for 35m with good head height (your 6'2" and easy for you). Shes a mean looking vessel. How much would a new equivalent be built for. If you saw this whilst looking for a similar class. You'd have a fantastic bargain. I think if I had one built, or any sized yaght. Id make sure the crew quarters were just slightly smaller than a twin guest with 3rd or 4th pullman and en suite etc. Good sized crew lounge and a home from home.
    Certainly unique layout with a private lift down to the master suite, and the extra deck for upper helm. Both nice touches.
    Great video as always Sir..

    • @visionist7
      @visionist7 4 роки тому +2

      I'm not sure what new boats in this size range do that speed today. There are a fair few Mangusta styled "poweryachts" but this is more of a serious cruiser

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  4 роки тому +7

      Glad you liked it, and yes, absolutely ideal for someone of reduced mobility (note the wider passerelle too). The lift has to be where it is in order to access the upper deck. Any further forward and it would end up where the helm is, or in front of it!

    • @didgerb72
      @didgerb72 4 роки тому +1

      @@visionist7 I watched a video recently with a huge power yaght speedster doing over 42knots. Probably a Mangusta style?. I did mean to add for a cruiser yaght. I know you and everyone knew what I meant. Its a lot of vessel for a 2000 (2017 overhauled) worth under €3 million. I love it personally. I do love the Princess 30m £6.1 million, and the Sunseeker 131 at £17million, also the Spada and Andrea yaghts that Nick has featured on his channel. Very much to my taste. Ive only been watching superyaght videos for a few months with many hundreds of videos in my private folder. Being disabled Im laid up most the time. Id love to work at sea again. But the next best thing is documentaries on many thing maritime orientated. My bucket list would be to have a trip on a Superyaght, or win lottery lol. I'd love to do walkthroughs in person. No need to make videos, as I'll leave that to Nick, and some of the other great walkthrough channels. They do such a great job, and the way they plan and execute their walkthroughs, are second to none. Some channels have strange formats. Others have it spot on. Me personally - I feel they should all watch Aquaholic videos, and they would see how perfection personified is achieved. Long may you make great videos Sir.

    • @didgerb72
      @didgerb72 4 роки тому +2

      @@AQUAHOLIC Very well concieved design Nick, esp the Paseraille. Of course my apologies, I got disoriented as you came down from the main deck to the lower deck. Didnt picture the lift where it actually was sited. I still wouldve hoped the designers of this yaght placed the lift like other vessel place their lifts (then again at 35m Im in agreement it had to be placed where it is). Although Id prefer a lift, to the specs like on a yaght - I recently viewed on a video on Denison Yaghts channel. The vessel was a 164 Codecasa superyaght call 'Invader'. The lift went from the lower deck situated inside the guest Foyer, and stairwell area. The lift came to the main deck aft of the main deck Foyer, as the Main deck Foyer stairwell - started further forward. The lift and stairwells were on the starboard side. Ahead of the main foyer was the day head, then finally the main deck master suite (office starboard side enrty, into main bedroom, shared bathroom furthest forward on the main deck (Im sure you know what Im meaning Nick. You've seen this design. Im just not very eloquent in my descriptive narrative). The lift then went upto the bridge deck, to a beautiful layout. Coming aft from the Helm, lead to the radio room, out the radio room, pass the stairwell. Then passing the powder room and Captains quaters, it lead to a pantry. Next to the pantry with full galley, and well aft from the helm, area was the lift. Coming further aft out of the lift, lead to the Sun lounge and aft deck dining. The best thing about this Invader yaght, was that on the Sun deck, the owner requested a rare feature. He wanted the lift to access this deck also. So had an enclosure built around the mast area and crows nest to fit the lift. Now accessing all decks. Ive not seen this in any other yaght I've seen. I'm sure you have many times Nick. I think this 35m Guy Couach has placed the lift in the best place possible for her size. Clever design feature. Just wanted to describe my favourite lift layout. I love this Invader yaght, cause she was spec built by owner, designer, shipyard input. I believe shes about the same age as this yaght. I think its why I love her and this yaght along with Spada and the Andrea yaght. Older vessels with a fresh update. You get so much more bang for your buck.
      Sorry for long description, I should've just typed have a look at the Invader video walkthrough. But I just love the lift layout, esp in the Sun deck. Im mainly apologising for my lack of skill in decscribing what Im trying to convey, not giving justice to the real beauty of the yaght. Thsts why we have you kind sir. To show us how its done. You Keep posting - I'll keep watching, liking, commenting.

      This obviously was designed with the "El Chapo" floorplan. No matter how many Los Federales board your yacht, they'll never find you in any of the 4,000 awkward passage ways that comprise this hamster maze of a ship.
      Gives a whole new meaning to "lost at sea". Especially with only an 800 mile range at cruising speed?! Better keep the Coast Guard on speed-dial.

    Greetings - This has to be my pick of 2019. Super custom, long-term ownership. Yes, the elevator is an eclectic feature, but that’s not even in the top five aspects of note. 800nm range but food storage capacity for much longer at sea. 32kn top speed. Satellite on aft upper deck, retrofit perhaps, but shorter height advantages.
    But what I really see is something entirely different. If you are open to it, you can feel how a vessel, or place, was lived in. That’s the best way to describe it. And a remodel won’t hide it. You know the saying, if these walls could talk.. Well it’s not just a saying for some. And that ship speaks volumes to me.
    Or I just have an overactive imagination. Either way, the story I see is sordid, grim and sad, but sprinkled with moments of joy. It’s a deep feeling, touching, and mean at the same time. This ship gives me a bad feeling, but an intriguing one, and that’s why it’s my pick of 2019.
    Man, if i had the time i would completely cut up the walkthrough video and dub over the narration with my vision of the vessels past life. Oh man that would be dark. Mabey at some point I’ll have the time. With your permission of course. :-)
    HL

    32 knots!
    I like the separate dining area. Seems almost all boats have the dining area and saloon together, I prefer it this way instead. Eclectic choice of cabins. Rare to see a single cabin. I can see why the main deck cabin isn't the master, as the deckhead plunges down sharply. The master head is ginormous and the big bathtub is most welcome. The lift seems to be an owner only perk since guests can't use it to access their cabins below. Interesting choice that.
    I'm not keen on the plastic fantastic handrails and interior stairs (what are stairs called on a boat again? I know a corridor is called a companionway). Maybe they light up at night though and look disco cool. Saves weight too I guess.
    Nice to see a full workshop area in the engineering spaces. Very cool to have a flybridge helm on a boat this size (you're miles in the air above everything) although teak would be nice up there. The bridge is a good hangout spot too; two sofas and a fridge.
    All in all, a very worthy superyacht.

My concerns are the washer and dryer are in an impractical location, and when coming up from the engine room your shoes better be clean before stepping onto the carpet. Here's my question - how does the Engineer get from the crew quarters and into the engine room without interacting with the carpets, door handles or people? Secret passage in the bilge? Could this be why the previous owner is selling so low? No kidding. As a former maritime engineer, no matter how hard "we" tried the smell of petroleum and the residue of internal combustion is always tracked around. Only way is a changing / shower room in the area.

Crew spaces are ridiculous, imagine long term living aboard, trying to care for 9 guests with no mess area, no captains cabin, and then crawling on your hands and knees dragging the washing out of a crawl space... your crew are going to love you should you buy this relic ;)

    Watching this channel has made me realise two things: My taste and 90% of boat designers are not even in the same ballpark. And I don't understand pricing at all.
    Im watching 500k euro boats and 1.5m euro boats pretty much be similar in most ways. Then you jump to this and it seems SO much larger. But not that much smaller than like a 5-10m boat.
    Also even on the smaller boats i'd rather have a jacuzzi than a sunbathing spot. Also I don't even get why the boats have like room for 01220120 people to sunbathe/sit around when the boat can only host like 10 guests.

I tend to spend half the videos imagining how I could either redecorate or else turn various sitting areas into other types of spaces: home offices, gyms, art spaces... with these bigger yachts I tend to run out of ideas before the boat runs out of spare seating areas

      Well about sunbathing areas in excess of 'carrying capacity' I have an explanation for it (I am not a yacht owner, nor ever been on one): not every guest who spends some time during the day on your boat is invited for a sleepover... and if you are anchored and the sun wanders it is probably easier if you move your tanning session from bow to stern rather then raising anchor reposition the boat and anchor again, just to repeat the process in 6 or so hours... just my 2 cents of wisdom... imagine you have a garden party... you can host a dozen or a score people for the BBQ but would be hardpressed to offer accommodation for half of them...

    Under 2.5 million with a lift. Even though it 2000 yaght with a 2017 refit. It's got so much for the price. If they closed the bridge deck off, it could be a tri-deck. Not a very big space, but big enough, esp as the upper deck has it's own upper helm, giving plenty of space. Beautiful boat. Still can't believe a lift access for that money. One lucky owner.

    Watching this again, that washer & dryer could _easily_ be moved to the adjacent workshop and give the crew some dignity when doing the laundry. There's a fridge in the workshop which would have to go and stack the washer & dryer in its place. First thing I would do.

    Also, I assume with all the cupboard space in the en-suite master, that doubled up as a walk-in wardrobe?
    On the upper helm, it looked like it only had the single function of docking/undocking in a tight space and maybe being lookout post for whale watching or something.
    Finally, when you walked back from the bow of the ship, did I notice a much larger sun bathing ares higher up? (Edit: Just looked again, yes, as seen from the front)

    Her age certainly shows in parts of her layout (God help the poor sod doing the laundry...) but she has the looks of the boat belonging to a Bond-villain and pure monsters for engines so I think I could manage to live with that! :) The bridge was, however, superior to many newer yachts. Sure, far less space for screens, but the visibility with those huuuge windows must be amazing compared to the pillbox that is pretending to be a bridge on many more modern yachts.
