Note after two days one of the rubber pull straps snapped off and fell in the lake. I retry the cover
I’ve heard the same issues from others who have it.
Great video. Valid concerns. Thanks for the post!
Looks like another Sea Doo design flaw! The mooring cover is well over priced for what it does. Another issue is the cleats on the side of the boat are not positioned such that you can attach the fenders. I was looking at diagrams and realized the cleats below are replaceable, so I order four more and mounted them on the rail. Why didn't BRP/Sea Doo think of that?
Its been a year since this video. How has the plastic held up to the UV rays?
Having issues connecting to bpr Bluetooth it is very finicky and fixes?
Do you have a link for the bumper extensions?
I ordered my 21 foot cruise, it will be in this coming January. Obviously, there will be after market covers for these boats. I might as well just wait…
I had a custom one made already to protect the plastic sides from the sun also
@@john94si who & where did you get this from? Do you have a 21ft?
@@c.juneau410 That is the OEM cover you buy from seadoo dealers.. its shit.. broke after 2 days use
@@c.juneau410 18 cruise
How did you attach the zig-zag fender ties to your upper rail? I bought the OEM fenders and the cover will not go over the clips for them waste of $100.00 per fender in my opinion.
Tim
Oem clips are crap. Ones I used are fabric loop. They fit around rail
Just wondering could you keep your Switch in the water all summer ? I live on the bay in Nj . Good review
Yep been out there for weeks
Can you tell me what the clip is called that you got from Amazon For your bumpers?
Installing this cover is a nightmare. I literally just did it. Instructions are the worst I’ve ever seen. I would fire the tech team if they worked for me.
Good vid. I'm seeing a lot of concern on the covers and the Bimini top. Would you have preferred different style Bimini to make it easier to cover?
I removed the factory bimini and replaced with an amazon bimini facebook.com/groups/349311596687956/permalink/548923086726805/
Most BRP instructions suck. Main pictures you can’t tell what is what with little wording. I hate installing BRP accessories, it takes forever to decipher. But the worse I have seen have been Yamaha instructions.
Good job. Thanks
It’s broke two days later.
I was going to say for $900 it doesn't look very well made. I've got a boat on order, who knows when it will be in but we didn't order the cover yet, I'm storing mine on the trailer so I guess I have more options.
@@kylebarnhart1998 yea I am having a custom one made next week. I will post a video of it soon
I think I figured out why you had such a hard time with the cover and the straps - your front seats are all the way forward (up to the corner tables), so they're pushing up on cover in the corners where there isn't enough cover material to stretch. If you shift your seats 1 tile toward the stern, those corners won't pull as tight and those straps won't be holding on for dear life. Makes a huge difference in the fit and structure of the cover, and makes those plastic clips that go over the top rail line up like they're supposed to.
@@icfuchs Yes but they can be placed anywhere and the cover should fit.
@@john94si you're not wrong, but if you want it to be snug (ideal for trailering), you don't want tons of loose fabric when your seats are further back or laid out differently. Better to have the cover fit snug and need to shift a seat when you cover it. Even more ideal would be the ability to fold down all the seat backs...
I see you have a ladder at the front of and the motor is closer to the shore how deep is the water that you have your boat docked? I have just bought an 18 foot switch Cruise. And I'm curious how much water it needs underneath it so it doesn't suck up sand and rocks
Good 24 inches. 3 preferably
go to a boat canvas shop and they can make one for it. probably last longer than that factory one.
I have had two custom ones made
dealer is telling me next year before they get anymore..... they got base model compacts......
Do you have a link for the bumper hangers you are using on the boat?

@Switch & Tesla ordered a set also...thank you for the link.
Thanks for the video and hope you got your cover sorted out. Got my Switch Cruise 18 yesterday with both mooring and trailering covers. On the mooring cover support poles, there are white straps for one pole and black straps for the other pole with both poles attached together with a single black strap. Only thing I am trying to figure out on the mooring cover is how to strap down the support poles. Did you put the white straps up front or in the back? Also, did you receive two additional long black straps with foam in the middle and two other loose black plastic clips in your kit? Not sure if those are for the mooring cover or the trailering cover. Any tips you have will be much appreciated.
I returned the cover. Had a custom one made
@@john94si who made your custom cover? We had reservations about the factory cover and opted not to get it for our 18ft model, but I’d like one that protects the plastic sides of the boat.
Same question?
@@Mike-tt8wi it was done by a custom boat to shop in town. They need to keep your boat a few days if you want one. Look up any local to you boat canvas shops
Worst design ever ever. A nightmare to install. I would never recommend it and at its price jr's a ripoff.
