@@carlyszalay6006 how are natural nails disgusting? I had the same experience as Dana. Normally my nails are super flimsy and I can’t grow them out because they just break constantly. But when I was pregnant they were bomb haha so much thicker and they looked so nice! Natural nails can look great if they’re healthy and not brittle or anything - just gotta keep up with caring for them :) this is not to say that they are better (or worse either) than fake nails though. It’s just preference!
You're absolutely amazing and I wish I knew you while pregnant bc getting my nails done by the salon was the worst. They were completely inconsiderate. We need to take care of our clients as if they were ourselves
I love your videos, Anastasia! 🥰 I am contemplating getting licensed, but for now I'm finishing a degree in Legal Studies. I have learned so much from your channel and it's inspiring to hear your perspectives and see your artistry at work. It's awesome you give out so much free info and I hope to take one of your classes some day so I can pay you back for all the knowledge you give away to us! I appreciated how you did this sponsorship and showed the products; their packaging with the foam is inspired! I have been thinking about trying their brand for their top coat, but I didn't know they had so many colors! I need to check that out since I love to collect unique colors of gel polish and there are bound to be some beauties among 800 colors! I wish people would look at your channel before asking things in the comments, because you have videos on almost all of the common questions you get. You are so generous to have so many videos! But I guess every comment boosts engagement, right? 😋 It is so sweet how patient you are and remind us of safety each video with the e-file and go through the steps you know so well without being bored! I tried to blow the dust off your clients nails through my screen again. 🌬️ lol. I think I'm going crazy. 🤪 Beautiful set as always. blessings from Scotland. 🙏🏴🌺
I love this shape so much! 😍 I'm not confident that I'll even be able to get close to sculpting it on my own though, so I'm waiting on some dual forms just like the ones you used here. They should be here soon and I can't wait to play with them! Is there any way you could make a video using these same nail forms with hard gel? Pretty please?
My nails were amazing in both my pregnancies. I’ve no idea how because I was like, in need of a blood transfusion anaemic 😆. But in my last pregnancy I grew my natural nails to an inch long. Yes. I measured lol.
@@Nailcou I was terrified of breaking one 😆. It was before I learnt how to do a gel overlay as well. I was just using normal nail polish 😱. Couldn’t live without gel now lol.
aww looks so beautiful 😍 btw i'm not sure if you have already made one but can you make a step by step tutorial on how to make russian almond shaped nails without dual form? i'd really love to see that (also i'm still struggeling on how to do them 😅)
I’m comparison from polygel dual forms, hard gel paper form extension and glued tip with gel, or tip with gel that is adhered with gel, which do you feel is the most durable on a short nail? Not bitten but broken. I used to be a professional mail tech back when there was only one gel and it was so bad I refused to use it. I did acrylic and from doing my own gel this past year can say I still believe that can’t be beaten as the strongest most durable nail overlay or extension. For some ppl and mail beds gel may be enough, but for one product that does every mail shape, type and wearer, it’s my opinion that acrylics are best for every situation. I’m not talking about brands, just generally. But I am very intrigued by the hybrid crosses that are showing up that look like gel and cure like gel but do not move unless you move them. I’m curious about their strength compared to gel and acrylic. Haven’t seen or heard any video on that.
Thank you for another great video! What is the name of the carbide bit you are using to smooth out the cuticle area after the product has been applied? I tried this method on myself with builder gel and a sanding band to smooth out the product at the cuticle (there was a bit of flooding), and I ended up cutting my cuticle. I am wondering if the bit you are using would be better for this. Thanks!
I'd love to see you try their new chrome gel paint. I'm curious to see if it dulls when topcoated or even NOT topcoated. Apparently it's a tack free gel.
Do you have a link for those dual forms? 👀 I want to try them so bad! I have 2 different sets and I can’t find one to fit each fingernail right and I hate the shape of them ☹️
@@renaissancezoe9293 I can't link it either, but there are several stores selling them on Aliexpress. Of course though they ship from China, so it takes ages...
I'm currently pregnant and I will probably not going to get a manicure before the baby is born...I had a miscarriage before and I don't want to take any possible risk...I appreciate your understanding that it's a personal choice...I'm sure manicures are fine for lots of pregnant women... and I love Madam Glam polishes! They are really good!
I absolutely love the way Russian almond looks I don't know if you have or if you could make a video on how to do it with gel like a hard gel or even with polygel I just I don't have the dual forms I've got paper forms I just don't know what to do or how to even go about constructing it.
I noticed immediately how “pinched” together the shape of these forms are. I was a very prominent nail tech in my area many many years ago and for about 15 years. I owned my own salon and did acrylic only back then. I have been looking recently for a hybrid gel that stays where I put it just like this! I use MG already but almost cut my nails off because they also have very high sidewalls to the mail plate and sit deep into the cuticle. You know this means with gel it is a very difficult job to do to build it up where they bend and curl and it runs into the cuticle! I do one mail at a time which helps a ton! And I have been using a hard gel to build up whete my nail curls in at the end on one side. I use MG base and top coat. They look fabulous but it is too much time. So I think now I will use this product because it goes with the product I am using and does not run, slide, or move unless I move it. I’m very excited. But I do have a terrible time with finding tips! Idk what this mail industry has done to make all the mail tips go straight out from the plate with no downward curve! That is unnatural and dangerous. Lol my natural nails curve downward as well. I find that the dual forms are a wonderful shape but why is no one making tips this way? I found some cheap ones but they are too small for my thumbs however I could build that out. Thought I would get your opinion on these straight tips or even full covers!
Someone told me that you aren't supposed to remove the tips... they used the tips as an actual tip. Do you know why they would do that? Or if it is okay to do both ways?
These nails remind me of a school friend I had who had this extreme c curve that were also thick and hard; it was a genetic problem in her family. They grew in this extreme shape perfectly straight out (much to the envy of many of us ladies.) Oh how I envied those nails!
Yes you can just be careful cause you do them too thin and they'll snap, or they could lift abit from all the water, definitely try to wait atleast a day before washing hands after applying that seems to help me
You should wear dish gloves to protect any nail enhancement. Honestly I recommend wearing dish gloves to wash dishes or clean with any kind of chemicals just to protect your natural nails and skin whether you're wearing something on your nails or not.
I remember when I was pregnant both times. I took a Pregnant Multivitamin every day. My nails were as hard as...well..nails!!! And I my skin (even after moisturizing) was ALWAYS dry. Drove me mental. Where your nails are concerned when you are pregnant? Expect the unexpected ooooft
I don't think it's unsafe to do nails when you're pregnant I couldn't work with acrylic when I was pregnant because of just the smell, but otherwise it was fine
It does not harm natural nail as long as natural nail is not harmed, just gently buffed and extension is structured properly. Damage can happen if you break it by slamming it into hard surface with power or when it starts lifting and you rip it off with the top layer of your nail.
heres a tip for using dualforms! Use traditional paper forms underneath too!! It keeps filing to a minimum and makes for a really quick set!!
