Thank you. I love coloring. And this helped me tremendously because I love snow and snow scenes. I love to draw and sketch. But after a stressful day coloring is my relaxation
Your videos are never rubbish! They help me so much! Thank you for taking the time to help those of us less experienced colorists learn new techniques! You are a true gem! 🤗💎
Hun I must say I absolutely love your tutorials!!! I have been coloring my whole life, yet I am not proficient in anything, especially shading!!! I find your tutorials fun and easy to follow!!! I look forward to watching them!!
Thanks Claire, for your thoughts on colouring snow. I think those light blues do a brilliant job, I suppose you might venture in with a darker blue in deep shadows. I am also thinking that I have seen some marvellous snow pictures using pale pinky purples for dawn/dusk landscapes. The word you were groping around for when describing the thin line of white at the edge of your object is "rimlight!" Your snow man was looking really chilly by time you finished! Anyway, it is nice to see you back after your move; I hope the chaos of the packing boxes is receding!
Thank you so much for this tutorial ! It is very helpful. I think it is nice that you showed lots of different supplies so everyone should be able to try your technique!
Only just found this tutorial by searching because I wanted to colour in some snow (funnily enough!) and it’s perfect!Have just tried it with a pale blue Pablo and white posca and it looks fab! Thank you, as always, Claire for your wonderful videos ❤
Thanks Claire that was great! I love the pencil shading it gives a kind of cold glow to the snowman if that makes sense lol. Lovely to have you back! Hope your move went well! 💖
I think you tutorials are great and very informative Claire. I love watching your videos and listening to a northern English lass is very refreshing. So Thanks 😊
oh gosh thanks so much I have been watching snow videos and yours is by far the best explained and demonstrated and looks so so very easy and all this time I been scared to do snow going put it to the test tomorrow thanks again for the video
Very nice, I just did this on a page I already colored, but was saving the snow for just this tutorial! How did you know? Amazing! You and the snow, amazing ! 💕🤗💕
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THAT COLOR TIP!! I HAVE AN EYE SHADOW PALETTE WITH THOSE 3 SHADOWS IN THAT COLOR RANGE,NOW I CAN USE THAT PALETTE FOR SNOWY WINTER SCENES!! TYVM 😊
Thanks Claire, a great tutorial. I hope you and your family are settling well in your new home. I counted my finished pieces that I have done from Christmas last year to now and I done 284!
your video was awesome!, I loved that it was real time, and various mediums, i am learning and think this was awesome, look forward to the next colour with Claire!
Loved the videos especially since the snow is starting to come down where I live and it’s difficultly to color something that you think of as just white. I especially love that the supplies you use are not super expensive either and you can use what you have or something similar with good results.
Thank You so much Claire, i really like the one you've color with colored pencils and the stick pastel as well, for the Markers i'm not very good with this medium so i will gave it a try with what i'm more confident with, you are a wonderful colorist, Artist and what i love the most is just by watching you everythings seems so easier to do, love that lol! I would love to seen how you make these kind of snowflakes who for me they look like Dentelles so if you have time i would love if you could make a tutorial, TY Claire xx
Thank you soooo much for doing this I've been wanting to know how to colour snow or even something white for ages!! This was so helpful will be trying this out thanks so much!!!
Thankyou for this video! I've been looking for tutorials on how to "colour" white areas because mine always end up so flat and out of place but this really helped me a lot!!
Hi Claire. Thank you for another great tutorial as I find them super helpful. I just have a quick question that I hope you can help me with. I see you only colored a blue line until it faded out to white. My question is: After laying down the small amount of blue do you then just leave the rest of the snowman uncolored? Can you color snow in layers? Can you use different shades of colored pencils such as a light, medium & dark?
I tried this technique and I love it. I was totally at a loss on what to do with snow in my pictures. I would advise if you are using acrylic paint do not white out the lines first follow claire's tutorial. Thanks again claire you are a life saver. Bye for now
This tutorial has most definitely helped a lot❤ , I had no clue how to make snow look real with color and not just leaving it blank..The black art liner pen was wondering where you may have gotten yours from??..
I second that, you don't do rubbish. You actually gave me the idea to color a gothic, dark fantasy or dark mermaid picture with blue skin with that technique. Thank you. May I ask what book that is?
If you could Claire, please do a video on how to color individual snowflakes. I have sagolikt, in it there's a bunny framed with leaves and berries, and some snowflake shapes. I had a hard time with them, and couldn't find a tutorial for it. Thanks!
Thank you so much for a great video. With winter coming this will be my 1st year coloring and snow was something I had no idea about. Now I feel I can do it! Love the picture. Which coloring book is it from ?
Thank you for this tutorial, I'm going to try coloring in a Christmas book and have always shied away from coloring snow. Hopefully I will be able to do it like you. :-P
Haha! And here I thought that coloring snow was so...difficult!! I am currently coloring a page from Hannah Lynn vip and it has snow on the background..Will certainly put this to practice..Wish me luck! I will share with you as soon as its completed! Thank you!
I really needed this video :D . Thank you ^^. I watched a tutorial before but that one was horrible XD. This one is awesome. And so easy to do i believe :) . Thanks for the tips. One question... what do you mostly do? Begin to color the snow and than everything else? or just first everything else and end with colouring the snow. Or does it actually not really matter ? :)
Thank you. I love coloring. And this helped me tremendously because I love snow and snow scenes. I love to draw and sketch. But after a stressful day coloring is my relaxation

Yeah you definitely could go darker and fade up, this is just a technique for giving the illusion of snow without just leaving white on the page xx
❤️ your snowman, I can’t wait to try this!
Great video as alwayz. I can't wait to try this technique on mt Christmas pictures. Thanks and looking forward to your next video
I tried this technique and I love it. I was totally at a loss on what to do with snow in my pictures. I would advise if you are using acrylic paint do not white out the lines first follow claire's tutorial. Thanks again claire you are a life saver. Bye for now

Good luck with your move! xx
Thanks Claire, will give this a try.
I can't wait to try this
This is a great tutorial. I wonder, will this technique work on coloring other white things besides snow?
thank you, I will try it in my colouring books!
I second that, you don't do rubbish. You actually gave me the idea to color a gothic, dark fantasy or dark mermaid picture with blue skin with that technique. Thank you. May I ask what book that is?
Geeat technique but i think on the trees the snow shadow would be tucked in and white on the edges right?
As always you taught me something new! Ty!
Love it I enjoy your lessons ! Ok
This is really helpful!! I’d love to see the finished pic tho..... 😂🤞🏼x
If you could Claire, please do a video on how to color individual snowflakes. I have sagolikt, in it there's a bunny framed with leaves and berries, and some snowflake shapes. I had a hard time with them, and couldn't find a tutorial for it. Thanks!
