I think it's because sf got countered by techies. He can easily nuked. Sf always feels like glass canon and his early defensive/counter utility is his ultimate. But, what if there's a hero that can nuke and silence him even without items? SF can't do his job that he usually can easily. Defending the mid tower to maintain map control for the team? Good luck doing that when you will die under your tower. Farm near tower so he can maybe clear creep waves under tower? No, the techies put obs wards there and killed him. Trying to deward himself? Die again, his ultimate has a low cd. He has absolutely no control of the game at that point the only hope that he has is if his supports are much better than his opponent and can help him.
