    This opener will forever be one of my all-time favorites from any DCI show. Vivaldi's Four Seasons Spring for front ensemble was such a wonderful idea, and they pulled it off so skillfully! Love it!

    I haven't always been the biggest fan of SCV, but I have been a fan since Les Miserables. But this show is fantastic. I saw it in Warrensburg, MO and it blew me away. I love the birds chirping, I love the way the opener makes you think about Spring. I think it's great. Fantastic.

      Hunter Johnson and what exactly has vanguard done to make you not be a fun? Because they don't follow the path of the coats or devils? Or were you just making an ignorant comment?

    • @nateg3010
      @nateg3010 7 років тому +21

      The ignorant comment here is yours for assuming that everyone finds the same shows you do fun. Vanguard were for quite some time a very conservative corps when it comes to show design and if you watch videos of shows from before 2013 you'd probably understand that better. Honestly I'm not a major fan of their current stuff either outside of the pit writing, but I certainly won't call you ignorant for enjoying their shows as much as you want to. Grow the fuck up.

      Brandon Cummings You have inspired me so much. I’ve watched this over 1000 times and have learned most of the ballad and a lot of the Winter part. Stupidly geeky i know and kind of weird but this is, just how couldn’t this inspire you.

    Is there a reason why there's open pipes in the sharps & flats that don't have any bars on top of them?

      It's more aesthetically pleasing, from the audience perspective.

      5 month question to answer but, they're resonators to enhance the sounds of the sharps and flats

      My guess is that its for uniformity across the marimbas, as not all of them had crash cymbals
