I fly the Bridge Transition VFR corridor which takes you directly over this airport, quite frequently. Get to see cool sights like this a lot. Tampa controllers are true professionals.

Watching the landings of these general aviation jets they seem to due a lot better job of landing than the major airlines?

Typically the weight of the airliners make the landings look harder. Especially with the smoke the tyres make.
