AUSTRALIA'S BEST HIKING TRAILS | Ep 1 | The Great South West Walk

- At the beginning of October, we set out on a 262KM - 11 day hike in South West Victoria known as the Great South West Walk (GSWW). This hike begins in Portland and travels through a variety of scenery such as forests, beaches and capes and bays. This is part 1 of our journey from our home city to the first campsite on the GSWW (Cubby's Camp).

We’re Scott & Lauren, a couple from Melbourne in Australia!
Our passion for travelling, backpacking and hiking started back in July of 2017 when we headed off to Europe for a 6-month backpacking trip, which would ultimately change our lives. After returning in January 2018, the "standard" post-travel emotions hit.
We both decided we would knuckle down and try and save as much money as possible before jetting off again to see more of this beautiful world.
Our first stop was Atlanta in Georgia, USA - where we were meant to be thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail at the beginning in March 2020, but COVID-19 forced us back home...sadly. But, we have more adventures planned inside our home country. Stay tuned.

A little, yes! But it was great to be outdoors again :) We had a few days of constant rain so it was very hard to get quality footage! Either way, thank you for watching :)
Sweet! Back onto another big hike! I didn't know where this one was. I'd heard of it, but never actually looked it up. Solid trip out to Portland! Any reason you didn't just drive directly from Melbourne? About 4 hours?
We lived on the Surf Coast when we did this one. The pick of the bunch we reckon. Absolutely loved it!

@@bladesepicadventures7165 not yet! We just finished the Bibbulmun track in November. And then did plenty of ones here in Tasmania (but didn’t film). Big plans for 2023.
