I passed the national exam but failed the State. I blacked out from all the math Q's from the national exam. It was HARD. Im still shocked that I passed! Im taking the State Exam this month. You have to work under a licensed broker but you’re not an employee. There are brokerages that feel more like a community and team, it just depends on who you work with 😊

I'm also working towards my TX exam (next week)--I feel a bit lost...other videos/content/info I've found on prepping for your license indicates you can seemingly do all of the things (schedule exam, get fingerprints/background check, etc) in random order, but none of the info I've received or found clearly states how to do this. Do you have any advice--for example, I've just scheduled my exam and need to get fingerprints (my resources have shown me where to do this), but no one ever mentioned needing a service code to secure scheduling...did you have to obtain this to schedule? Did you do this before your exam?
Hi Blair, you may have already completed this but yes you do need a code that only TREC can give you. You will receive it once you have submitted the real estate application to TREC. You go online to their website and apply for Real Estte license.This needs to be done first in order for you to schedule your exam date. I just passed my test so if you need further help, i’m happy to help!!

Cheaquita, piece of advice because I was doing what you are when i started my courses. I suggest you focus on vocabulary and please please focus on your states portion as well. This is very important. Don’t waste time taking notes on every single chapter. Don’t feel overwhelmed, find and keep your own way on how you study & retain information and what works best for you!! I have faith you will pass your exams !!

Listen I’m doing the classes now !! And I’m on promulgated Contracts I stopped taking notes and started just sorta skimming and clicking thru because it is ALOT of info would you honestly recommend just these to pass the first time ?

The state exam was not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. It really depends on your studying strategy and how you retain the information. The Prep book I recommended was spot on!

From my experience, Champions is a great school when it comes to understanding and learning the legal aspects of Real Estate, but the prep book and prep exams are just for practice, I almost passed on my 1st try, usually goes in with learning, trying, and never giving up.

Where the questions in the booklet you mentioned similar to the questions on the exam like almost to the T, so it’s best to memorize the answers

Yes for my program, I paid a fee to take the exams without a proctor. I opted to use my laptop camera instead.

Yes they are separate sections! If you pass one and fail the other, than you’ll only have to retake the one you failed.
