Hope to see everyone who can make it to the meet up on Sunday February 5th at 2pm . Inside the North Star Mall at Think Geek store next to the food court . San Antonio Texas
I've been watching your videos for about a year. I'm stuck in a wheelchair and I am unable to get out and see things, but you make that possible. Thanks for all you do and please keep doing it!
I agree with you about headstones. My grandmother passed away when I was 15 and was buried in her hometown 800 from where I live. When I found out 40 years later that she didn't have any type of grave marker, I bought one for her. I felt she deserves to be remembered.
Adam, thank you for your work, always interesting, sometimes hilarious and often unexpectedly moving. You clearly love what you do and it is almost certainly appreciated by many, many more people than you think.
Hello Adam. These are the videos I. love when you pass through these old towns showing old buildings learn the history of the places what stories all these places could tell. Hope you resume these kind of blogs. I know its 6 years later when I see these blogs for first time. Hope you do more in future. I can't get around like I used to. Stay safe where ever you travel
Thanks Adam, another fun history lesson. I love stained glass windows in churches, they're always so beautiful. Another fun vlog, got my WOO FIX for the day, stay safe!!!!😀
We will be there! My wife, daughter and I watch you everyday. We were bumming out thinking you had been through and gone so we are very happy you will be here. Hope you get some time to look at the mission trail, very historic, includes the Alamo but there are 5 missions total and all are very historic, you would enjoy. If you are doing BBQ around here, Texas Pride is one you should include, also look at Lockhart Texas up the road a bit, lots of BBQ history there to explore. Try Mi Tierra for Mexican food, open 27-7, 365 downtown. Fun interesting spot.
Mico is actually a quaint little town. RV's are not an uncommon sight there around Lake Medina. The other end of the lake is a bit more public. On your way from Hondo to the lake, there is a relatively forgotten, but amazingly "Majestic" rest area at about 6110 TX-173, Hondo, TX 78861, know to the locals as "The Cut". Would love to see some drone footage from there. Sunsets are spectacular from that point. If your hanging around a few days, make the trip to Bandera via 16. Visit the11th Street Cowboy Bar, quite a site inside and out. Lots of things to see in and around the area. Then come back via 173 and stop at the top of "the Cut" and enjoy the beauty of the setting sun. If you get a chance, check out Grey Forest. Also while in San Antonio, try out Goro's Sushi next to Dad's Karaoke, would be good for a Saturday night, pre-meet eat. Come for the Sushi, Stay for the Karaoke :P It's very near North Star.
Adam, I too am fascinated with cemeteries. There is a cemetery in Watertown, NY(upstate NY, little over an hour north of Syracuse) where I'm from called Brookside Drive Cemetery. It is absolutely massive. It's on hilly terrain, paths going all over, ponds, woods, and sitting areas. It's like a maze. You'll find graves dating back to the early 1800s to present day. Lots of famous/wealthy graves that are literally private little buildings with windows you can peer in. It is a breathtaking place. I currently reside in North Florida, but try to go home every few years. I always find myself going back there. Mark it in your travel journal! Or at least a mental note! Check it out if/when you ever get up there. Regards.
Yay!!!!!!! So excited for the meet up!!!!!! I was hoping today would be the announcement! I am in Houston right now with plans I made weeks ago and was worried I would miss it, but I will be back in San Antonio tomorrow!
Another interesting cemetery! I Columbo-ed it and found that the mail box there might have held a registry book at one time where guests visiting the graveyard would sign. Also Think Geek is an awesome store, I shop on their website sometimes.
I really envy your ability to travel the country and fund your trip with these videos. I feel so anchored to my current life as a business owner with responsibilities for employees and their families etc. I would very much enjoy being able to do what you're doing.
I live 20 minutes away but can't be there Sunday! If you're needing help with something I live in SA. I'm free Saturday. Happy to help. I just started watching your channel about a week ago. Very entertaining, I love it.
11:26 "I'm getting a very weird vibe about this little town." Ditto for me. Something's creepy with that yard, the baby doll on burned airplane hanging from the tree, santa dummies piled up in a boat, stuff strewn all over. And guys watching you. They say always follow your instincts and you did and got out. Good decision.

Adam you are a time traveler. Your videos in them small towns are so wonderful.
From San Antonio, watched you traveling through Texas, getting closer to town. Watching this vlog, I got sad I missed you. Then the announcement, WooHoo, see you at North Star.
Did you notice the pattern with the number 8? That first little town was so cool! When I see an abandoned house I think of the babies made, the lives lost, Christmas mornings, Thanksgiving dinners, the laughter and the tears that the house could talk about. The old church was beautiful!
Adam, I like you're thinking, I believe you're a very deep thinker. I'm always trying to wrap my brain around the fact that so many people before us lived in the cities, towns, spaces that we're living in today. All of those before us are now gone, and in 100 years or so, all of us will be gone...
When I was in graduate school we did an economic survey of all these towns. We drove all over counting businesses and interviewing people. I am having flashbacks.
that makes sense. I've never heard of a wind phone but I can get the meaning behind the concept. in my area we have a box of some sort and the family of those buried there can leave a tip or donation for the caretaker who cuts the grass and upkeep.
I thought it was one of those air vents they put back in the day when they thought people were dead, but really weren't. That way they could breathe. They used to put a vent with a string and bell so if the person woke up they could signal the surface. Back in the day before modern medicine it was a fear some people had. So many devices were created to prevent people from accidentally being buried alive.
Oh come on, Andy. Like you've never taken a long drive with the kids, and pulled over to say "Look! Cows!" ? LOL. Everyone has. Every time. For city and suburb people, a field full of cows is interesting.
rubyslipper1939, You may have thought that I was being sarcastic, but I wasn't (I promise!). I genuinely meant what I said. Adam's mind works like mine and it's refreshing to slow down and just watch the cows.
Adam, I am in the Dallas Ft Worth area and unable to make it this Sunday. Bums me out but I know you will make it this way soon. I Thank you for everything you do but also traveling our great state of Texas. There is so much History here. I do recommend checking out the Emily Morgan Hotel adjacent from the Alamo. I will let you do your Columbo like research to find out why :). Appreciate you and your travels. God Bless you and God BLESS Texas
I'm thoroughly enjoying these "roads less traveled" that you're exploring. I've never seen or heard of most of these places, and probably never would, were you not taking us along.
Hey Adam, be careful out there in Texas. Those backwoods boys don't play around :)) I hope you have a big turnout at your meet n greet. It would be cool to meet you someday. If you are in or around the Milwaukee area during your travels, I'll try to get out to say Hi. Peace brother.
You have officially made my day!! I thought I was the only person in the universe that used the word FUNNER. which btw I get yelled at all the time about because IT IS NOT A WORD. I don't care I love the word funner and it should be a word. Just like a bajillion or a bazillion. 😜😉 Another great daily Woo! 🤗
Adventures by George Seriously tho I use it a lot and almost every time it's... "Funner is not a word. It's more fun." (In a whiny voice) People always trying to spoil my funner stuff. 😜
The Knotty Thyme According to the Oxford English Dictionary, "fun" is accepted as an adjective, used informally. Therefore, "funner" is a word, used in informal speech or writing.
OMGOODNESS!!! Its exciting you're here in San Antonio!!! I hope to meet up you at North Star Mall! Thank you for all the videos. Be sure to go to Market Square, San Fernando Cathedral and the Alamo. Chris Madrid's for good burgers and a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant called Blanco Cafe. 😎
So AWESOME!!!!! Been telling my girlfriend about you being in San Antonio, and it's it is finally happening!! Not only do I hate the malls but for the Woo I will be there!!!! So awesome buddy!
Wow. I never knew Think Geek had any actual physical locations. I've been buying cool stuff from their website for years. And that's awesome that they're doing this. So cool!
adamthewoo Texas seems to be full of those neat graveyards the vlog the other day had a pretty cool one too. It was really overgrown but that was definitely part of its wild beauty
Awesome adam, finally You made it to San Antonio. The city just approved new city development of apts. & stores around the hemisfair park that should be finished around 2021. I hope it won't be a disappointment when all is done.
Hay Adam! Awesome Vlog with the Massive Cowboy boots at the near end of the Vlog. And wish i was going to the meet up, but i will be watching the Vlog, Maybe in the near future when i can get funds together.
Awww super bowl Sunday? I've been volunteered to make spinach dip and wings!! Bleh! I wish I could make it to the meetup!! Please have one in The Houston area soon! (Hopefully you'll come back around these parts sometime) :) to everyone going this Sunday- have fun and tell Adam I said hello! ;)
I love seeing all of this stuff. The small historic downtown sections and old abandoned buildings are always my favorite. I wish we got cool stores like Think Geek around here. That's my kind of place but the only true "Geeky" store we had around here (other than Gamestop, I guess) closed down due to being charged unreasonable rent.
If you ever get back up north (Michigan), I've got a cool, tiny, really old church a few roads from my house. And a couple hours away, there's an ancient cemetery with a hidden mineshaft nearby. And thanks for the content, I've forwarded you to just about everyone I know this week. (that church is so tiny, when I went there, the only people that were there was the pastor, his wife, and one other older lady . . . . . . ..well . . . .and me)
I loved the St. Louis Church. I was thinking it is named after the saint. Hope I am correct. The stained glass windows were beautiful. Sure would be a nice place to sit and reflect for awhile.
For all the cemeteries that you visit have you thought about your head stone it would be your last chance to say "THE BLOG IS OVER" !!!!🤣🤣 take care my brother enjoying watching this throw back video !!!!
I'm surprised you didn't say "Join me, shall you?" at the end of the video! I'm a big fan from your old channel from years ago when you explored abandoned places around Florida and places in WDW, and I'm slowly getting used to your daily channel (or as I used to remember it "its my second channel, daily blog channel!") even though you've been doing it for a while now. It's actually quite fun following you on your travels, but I do occasionally go back and watch some of the old stuff for the nostalgia value. Looking forward to the rest of your travels from here in the UK.
I am just seeing this but I am up the highway off of Starcrest too bad I didn’t see this until now so hello from San Antonio Texas is July 31, 2022 at 2:35 PM🌹😎
I'd be there if I lived closer. That's so nice of you to do periodic meet ups. I'm glad nothing happened to you down that creepy end of the road. There are a lot of abandoned residences & businesses all over the U.S. Times are hard or those in the town just reached their end stages of life. Interesting to see what was once were thriving towns.
I live in bandera. Been to all these places. Wonderful place to live. Love the Texas hill country. The high fences are for the game ranches. Lots of exotic animals available for hunting. Deer and antelope. Some have zebra and wildebeests or buffalo not for hunting just raising. Can't have your zebras getting out lol!
I love Thinkgeek. Lots of cool toys, tools, geeky things and great t shirts. Never knew they had a physical store though. Adam you may want to check out online for some neat t shirts
Hope to see everyone who can make it to the meet up on Sunday February 5th at 2pm . Inside the North Star Mall at Think Geek store next to the food court . San Antonio Texas
I'm there, man!
adamthewoo ~ Wish I could, too far from Md :( Have fun though!!!
adamthewoo so around the corner at the cafe 80s
Ellicott City, Hi there from Marylou in Essex. Yes I would like to be there, too. Never been to Texas.
How cool! Can't wait!
I like how you greet animals. We are all connected to animals and they appreciate when we acknowledge them I think.
I've been watching your videos for about a year. I'm stuck in a wheelchair and I am unable to get out and see things, but you make that possible. Thanks for all you do and please keep doing it!

2:32 I was waiting for "What we do in life... echoes in eternity." ;) Thank you, Sir Woo! :)
You are the awesomest blogger ever. If you're ever in GA again let's go camping.
Another great Daily Woo! Thanks.
Good morning Adam! I'm watching you with my morning poptart as always. 😉
The large fences are hunting leases...they are used to keep hunting animals pinned in a particular area...there are many of these leases in Texas.
Adam! thank you!
I can't believe I missed this VLOG Adam !!! Beautiful church.
You're in the Hill Country. Big tall fences like that means it's an exotics hunting ranch.
I really envy your ability to travel the country and fund your trip with these videos. I feel so anchored to my current life as a business owner with responsibilities for employees and their families etc. I would very much enjoy being able to do what you're doing.

Good morning Adam!!! That squeaky door was perfect... See ya tomorrow! Stay safe and schleep well.
Just clicked on a random ATW video - this is so amazing how much footage you have of your adult life - youll live forever in these videos.
Awwww, how you speak to every animal you see. 💗
You got to love these old small American towns. So quaint and tranquil.
Excellent video sir!

Loved this episode! Texas has some awesome historical locations!
Great vlog, Woo. Love how you explain things. You make everything more interesting.
Did you notice the pattern with the number 8? That first little town was so cool! When I see an abandoned house I think of the babies made, the lives lost, Christmas mornings, Thanksgiving dinners, the laughter and the tears that the house could talk about. The old church was beautiful!

If you ever get up in the upper midwest, between Chicago and Milwaukee, please do a meet up at Gurnee Mills! We would all love to see you.
When I was in graduate school we did an economic survey of all these towns. We drove all over counting businesses and interviewing people. I am having flashbacks.
Adam that cylinder in the grave yard was for all the dead letters lol
I thought it was donations for the caretakers. Would make sense.
mine was a joke
Japan as the Wind phone, for people to call.
that makes sense. I've never heard of a wind phone but I can get the meaning behind the concept. in my area we have a box of some sort and the family of those buried there can leave a tip or donation for the caretaker who cuts the grass and upkeep.

Adam, I just want to thank you personally for all the cows you've pointed out to me over the years. Thank you!
Oh come on, Andy. Like you've never taken a long drive with the kids, and pulled over to say "Look! Cows!" ? LOL. Everyone has. Every time. For city and suburb people, a field full of cows is interesting.

it was a nice spot for photos for sure
adamthewoo Texas seems to be full of those neat graveyards the vlog the other day had a pretty cool one too. It was really overgrown but that was definitely part of its wild beauty
Have fun at your meet and greet, Adam! I don't live in TX so unfortunately I won't be there.

The sign on the bridge at Medina Dam Rd near Mico used to say No Fishing on Bridge.
There is a sign like that one here in Jackson Ga. at the State Penitentiary. Super bowl meetup!
Adam, you inspiration of a human being!
What a beautiful church 😇
If you ever get back up north (Michigan), I've got a cool, tiny, really old church a few roads from my house. And a couple hours away, there's an ancient cemetery with a hidden mineshaft nearby. And thanks for the content, I've forwarded you to just about everyone I know this week. (that church is so tiny, when I went there, the only people that were there was the pastor, his wife, and one other older lady . . . . . . ..well . . . .and me)
My mind was in the gutter at the gas pumping part.. I can do it myself. But I like to sit back and watch
Sherri Hobson U dirty dirty girl hahaha
It's good to know others feel and think the same way about history. I often try to picture the folks who came before at such places.
Got my Adam The Woo gear from spread shirt, great quality! Safe Travels!
My first job at 16 was in that mall at Macy's which used to be Foley's department store. Lots of memories in that food court from the early 90's.
It must have been nap time in Castroville!!!
I was just about to go to bed and then WOOOOOOO~~
My son an I, will be there Sunday!
Thanks Adam your my fav vlogger
Stop in to Helotes, Texas. Floores Store where I understand Willy Nelson started his career. Interesting town. I live here!
Super Bowl Sunday with the Woo! I'm envious of those who can make it out to the meetup! Can't wait to see the turn out!
The fence is probably used to keep wild game in. Paid hunts are popular in Texas.
The more I watch, THE MORE I LOVE YOU!!!!
I loved the St. Louis Church. I was thinking it is named after the saint. Hope I am correct. The stained glass windows were beautiful. Sure would be a nice place to sit and reflect for awhile.
For all the cemeteries that you visit have you thought about your head stone it would be your last chance to say
"THE BLOG IS OVER" !!!!🤣🤣 take care my brother enjoying watching this throw back video !!!!
enjoyed vlog tyvm safe travels
I'm surprised you didn't say "Join me, shall you?" at the end of the video! I'm a big fan from your old channel from years ago when you explored abandoned places around Florida and places in WDW, and I'm slowly getting used to your daily channel (or as I used to remember it "its my second channel, daily blog channel!") even though you've been doing it for a while now. Wonderful places you find when you leave the interstate.😀
I am just seeing this but I am up the highway off of Starcrest

I'd be there if I lived closer. That's so
nice of you to do periodic meet ups.
I'm glad nothing happened to you down
