Good watch. Working with someone in the studio is whats missing for me in todays world. At 24:07 It so important to listen to each other. This is stuff i miss in a mix when im working alone.
20:00 The lows in this sound so so beautiful, especially that kick. Whatever was done to these tracks before mixdown, I'm a fan of. That low end mix just sounds perfect.
I really like this. I have loads of saturation options, as everyone does, but the level of control is what is so appealing to me. Sometimes I like being a caveman and cranking the big red gain knobs on my Warm Audio 273, sometimes I want to be a technical scientist in the box. This helps with the latter.
Interesting video. One little point about 'tube' vs 'valve': In NA English, we describe what it _is_ (a vacuum tube), whereas UK English describes what it _does_ (act as a valve). I've always found that difference to be fascinating. Ever since I realized that difference, I actually tend to call it a valve, despite being Canadian.
27:00 I rely way too much on the visual. How he immediately suggests to go a bit up comes from ear-training. I'd arrive to the same spot eventually but shows I really should be training myself to listen rather than rely on the visual from the plug-in.
Its great but personally I do miss a preset browser, option for FIR crossovers, and some smoother scaling fo the knobs/values - its a bit fiddly with minimal adjustments. I have no doubt they develop this further.
18:59 I think it actually sounds worse - it makes it really messy. The original sounded flat in comparison but I can tell there was SO MUCH work done on the tracks before this point that fluffing up all these frequencies so broadly just isn't the choice. Something with such a refined degree of engineering like this I think would do best with just some standard gain/limiting. I'm just learning mastering so forgive my ignorance. I think just a bit of spacial level-matching is really all it needs. The mix itself could warrant a second look with a second set of ears to bounce ideas. Later on, the adjustments do sound better and reveals there's a bit missing in the upper mids that I think could use a bit of a boost. He could also bring the vocal forward in the mix prior to this, as well (although it is possible it's just this part of the song). I love the opportunity to sit and listen while you guys do this! I would love the opportunity to sit at a console and be given free reign to learn. Incidentally, this plug-in is exactly how I process all my tracks but I just do it manually... this could potentially cut back hours of editing over the long-term.
Just realised I enabled a trial a while ago but it never got used. Always a shame it runs out and you forget. Oh well! I guess I have enough saturation plugins.
@@Producelikeapro for a clipper, I quite like to see how much reduction i’m getting. For a “saturator” when using to simply warm a signal or add character i dont really need it
@@Rhuggins Interesting, when I clipped it I found it made it louder! Ha, I used the gain match to hear the difference as opposed to looking. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely Wavesfactory Spectre!
Also VSM-3 is the one I always come back to.
My favorite saturation plugin is Fabfilter Saturn 2.
@@KYTHERAOfficial Marvellous! Thanks ever so much for sharing!
@@PurpleMusicProductions very cool!
Probably just sansamp
Great video! Easily the most informative video on this plug in, by far!
Thanks ever so much
Yes, yes and YES!
@@thesongacademy5017haha thanks 🙏
Great work Gentlemen in showcasing this plug in. Others have done it but nowhere near as detailed as this

This VST is powerful. Even with Warren using it slightly blend in with, mostly dry singnal still playing, you can still hear a huge difference.
I absolutely agree
Thanks Louie for sharing!

Great video, excellent plug in
Glad you think so!😊
Demoed this plug-in about a month back after being recommended by a producer friend. Amazing!
That's great to hear!

i have it but i wish Kraftur implemented gain reduction UI for real sublte clippin 😢
I'm sure they are paying attention to these things and will implement changes
Damn, you better have gotten paid for doing this for this plugin. Amazing work! Great plugin. And this presentation .... chef's kiss.
You’re very kind! We just like to make sure we do these things as thoroughly as possible!
34:36 It brings out the air movement from the skin rushing around the microphone, making me feel like my ear is closer to the drum.
Cool, thanks for pointing that out!
Very interesting features, I'm going to give it a try. As always, thanks for the video! 🔥🎧
My pleasure! Thanks ever so much!
Warren, whats the reverb and reverb settings on your mix? Those vocals sound great.
Probably a combination of Avid's own Plate and Liquidsonics? At least that's what I currently use!
Thanks

The triangular mixer looks like a flux capacitor. I wonder if this plugin goes up to 1.21 Jiggawatts lol
Haha that’s a great analogy

Maybe they will let you renew the demo? Sign in with another email address?
Just email them! I also had to ask for a second demo period and they did reset it kindly (: And then I bought it (:
@@KYTHERAOfficial That's awesome to hear!
I bought this when it came out, but find the lack of GR metering very frustrating.
Why is that do you think? With saturation I wouldn't expect gain reduction as such, in fact quite the reverse, that's why I like the Match function

Does anyone know if the song ''call me'' is finally out?
Please tell them to make an update with the individual bypass option for each band, Thank You
Agreed, I was suggesting they have individual volume controls for each band
and gain reduction UI as well!
mayb at the right side of each band to check for real subtle 0.1 db clipping
