I think it's significant to note the classes that Almyran soldiers use, as they play right into Claude's skills. Claude is a lord character, so he's good with swords and authority, obviously. Wyvern Lords and Bow Knights are their best ones, explaining Claude's strengths with Axes, Bows, Riding, and Flying. However, both of them require Lance proficiency to acquire, and Claude isn't good with lances, showing how he doesn't quite belong in Almyra. Claude also doesn't belong fully in Fodlan either, explained by his weakness with Faith. As for his neutral state with Brawling, Reason, and Heavy Armor... I don't actually have an answer for them.
Great Cutscene! Love the shocked reaction of the Alliance troops when Claude says "From now on the Almyran forces will be fighting by our side" Brilliant Tactic how and when he brings them into action, not only do they have two strong fronts attacking the Fortress but it would also provide a huge unexpected morale boost for the Alliance troops.
This is honestly still my favorite cutscene of the entire game. It's so exciting and the ost in the bg is perfect. I remember dying to rewatch it the first time i encountered it omg
What even was the point of them fighting? They already infiltrated the fortress. When I saw a fraction of this scene in the accolades trailer I never would have imagined what would happen right after...
Honestly Azure Moon and Crimson Flower both lack cutscenes. -(picture for BE reunion, picture for Dimitri regaining his sanity, picture for Dimitri becoming a king and picture for Edelgard defeating Dimitri, picture for Rhea's tranformation etc) Also Verdant Wind uses the same cutscene after battle in the throne room as Silver Snow. (it makes absolutely no sense) I just don't know why this cutscene exists...
definitely fair that cutscenes were sorely needed for other story points like for AM and CF. That said, I actually really like this cutscene: it’s entirely claude focused instead of just byleth focused and it shows probably Claude’s biggest scheme. Plus the Almyrans have been built up as the big force against Fodlan
I love one man and one man alone and his name is Khalid von Riegan
Claude Khalid Von Riegan Almyra I
R.I.P Brad Venable, may you rest in piece... (Kostas and Nader's voice actor for those that don't know)
Rip brad venable
R.I.P
Rip
Nader rides a horse in the cutscene.
In battle
WYVERN
Probably so the wyvern doesn't tire out before battle.

Plus axes
One of Claude's moves towards ENDING RACISM
What an admirable fella

Yeah with Nader and the Almyrans, it's a piece of Cake.
And Nader proves himself undefeated!
Until the javelins of light come in, and blow everyone’s minds apart along with Merceus.
Ah, an implied father and son team-up. Why hasn’t this gotten more views!?
Wait he's really his father?
@@kiteriver2700 yes
@@RancidRiki No, he's actually Claude's instructor.
They have a close relationship, it seems. But I don't think the story implies he's his father. Retainer or instructor, I think.
Rain Blue Eastman it’s theorized but nothing was ever confirmed

Drama
they are chuckleheads
KingofDorks precisely
Aero grape chuckleheads? Did you mean knuckleheads, or did you actually mean chucleheads?
Infiltration is different than capture.
I loved this scene
They gave this interaction it’s own cutscene instead of the many others that could’ve used one.

Does anyone know which song plays during this cutscene?
I'm like 2 years too late, but it's called "Citizens of the East"
Anyone else think this scene doesnt make sense? Doesn’t everyone already know that Nader works for Claude?
Not the Leceister armed forces, lol. I don't think even the rest of thr Golden Deer members knows of Claude's relationship to Nader.
Iirc he was essentially hiding his identity under a false name
