Early Morning Exit, ELS 502 Heads Back North After Being Tied Down Since Friday..

Last video ELS 502 passed by southbound with a pretty long train that they dropped in Pembine, WI and then tied it down near Alter Metal on Friday night. This morning just before 9am it left out with just Alter Metal in tow.

Not really needed for this instance as the lead locomotive can keep up air pressure, plus it’s not a high density line. I see flags quite a bit around my area for a local train as the speeds are low & there’s radio communication

Interesting that they only had Alter Metal, i am surprised that theres no auxillary siding for the cars that wont fit in there, they could use a trackmobile to shuffle them around, and then all ELS would have to do, is pick up loads, & drop empties, all without having to enter Alter Metal property.

That costs money E&LS like doesn’t have (saving it for the next derailment) or Alter Metal doesn’t want to shell out. Plus each move likely costs money. Maybe if it were a higher volume customer
