Thank you sir, Usually in college days I used to practice tabla for more than 4 hours, but recently I had completed my graduation and currently working. On reaching home it will be 8pm. Sir, thank you for your hopeful message
Thank you guruji
🙏
I was a drummer back in my college days, work and responsibility took me away from it. I started learning the electric guitar and found the same joy I was missing in my life. Music truly heals.
I like you used ji❤❤❤❤❤
I have been working last from 6years and as well as pursuing music with it. I play 3 instruments do live shows whenever i get opportunities. What i think it is important to do music as a habit for you , do it as you do other things.
Thanks you very much sir 🙏🙏🙏
As a full-time worker-bee I have some tips to share. First is to practice everywhere, on your knees or on a desk doesn't matter or just in the air by snapping fingers. Not just Persian Tonbak-players are great at snapping with all fingers with crazy speed. My Guruji (RIP) was mostly practicing on his arm-chair and even showing techniques on it. The 'tabla' we needed to play during his lessons was so bad, his arm-chair sounded better😄
And after 9 or 10 pm it is usually not recommended to play Tabla or even arm-chair. It's not that loud, but loud enough to annoy neighbors or family members while trying to sleep. But there are drums even much more quiet like certain Udu drums. I also own a Ghatam, but it's significantly louder and it's design isn't that good for playing Tabla-bols because of the big rim. My favorite 24/7-drum is the Meinl Ibo ID9BK. It has quite thick walls and you can play it hard without it's being loud. I was playing it so much I thought I need to buy the Meinl Ibo ID4BKO and it arrived today. I never fell in love with a drum apart from Tabla like with this one. It's not quiet at all and even a bit louder than a Tabla, but it sounds awesome and even playing Dehli-kaydas on it is very satisfying. The wall is much thinner and it weights less than 1.6 kg. I never had a drum that can compete with a pair of Tabla, but this one can do the trick. I also own a very pricey Schlagwerk U72S and it's a joke in comparison.
Disclaimer: I've no affiliation with Meinl and just sharing my experience. I've even returned the Meinl Kanjira last year because it couldn't hold it's tune unlike my two Remo with plastic skin that are much better.
Dear Yogesh-ji, thank you for acknowledging that even those of us who are in corporate jobs etc still love music and tabla and may still want to achieve something on the instrument despite not being full time musicians. Too many times I have felt somewhat dismissed on this point by those who are full time musicians. Thank you for the encouragement 🙏
Thank you so much, sir, for the much-anticipated session.
Seeking your blessings.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you, I needed this to remind myself to practice. Everytime after I practice, I have such a nice energy and good feeling. But I sleep and next day, to set up time to initiate is the hard part.
Exactly awsome advice..dear guruji.. I used to practice amidst my busy schedule of work, after come back either after 10 or 11, I used to sit with my tabla in front of my Guruji Abbaji photo and start my practice which is actually a mindful relaxation for my body and soul which give me immense pleasure and ventilation to my thoughts and feels which eventually improves me than yesterday which I was. Thanks and best regards panditji..
Thanks guru ji please teach about rela of dhingin 🎉🎉🙏🙏
Great advice. If one can’t commit more than two hours a day for 6 months is very difficult to pass the hump.
Guruji can you play the kayada dhati dhaghe nedhaterekete dhati dhago tunakota please
🙏😇♥️🎉
This is Guru Mantra mi sir ji
Guru ji plz kya app hindi mein video upload kr skte hai
I had learnt for great many years - Kaydas, Relas, Chakradhar, Tukdas etc. But work related pressures and fatigue took better of me and I left Tabla. Now when I sit down to practice my forearms start paining after playing for half an hour.😢
Guru jee kaida bataye jis se hath taiyar ho or hath mein wait aaye
Hello Sir, I would like to ask where we can get good tablas from.
Guru ji namaskar
Please advice on index finger strength problem.
Actually I lost strength on my index finger may be due huge practice or i didn't find exact reason behind this.Once this problem happened in my right hand index finger , then i started practicing with left hand finger. And after few days I face same problem i lost strength in left hand finger also. Now my both hand index fingers lost strength and I am not able to play or practice tabla now.
Can you please suggest or make a video on this problem
