I miss James videos...😢 R.I.P.
I miss the live streams. He was fun to talk to.
Yes indeed. I'm glad to have met him
Thank you Joey for video. It was a special touch adding Yeager in. What a great man. See y’all soon.
I bought my first Midwest rifle after watching James talk about them. I have 3 now, 2 in 223 i in 308. Someone at the range I frequent said they are trash and went on to tell me how every ninja special elite commando super killer uses his Daniel Defense model rifle and it's rated for 2 million rounds blah blah. He's not the type even worth arguing with. I've had zero issues in all the years with any of my rifles but every time I see that guy having a problem with his I ask if he needs to use mine because it runs instead of being broke lol.
I have two very young sons, I’m considering just buying two of these to keep in the safe for them until they’re old enough to have them on their own. I always appreciated how James took care of the next generation and made sure there was always ample supply for the young ones.
Good idea.
Love seeing james period. Great video guys!
🫡 Salute to James Yeager... your wisdom is with me every fvckin day
AGREE WITH THE 18 INCH BARREL !
If the feds didn't do an oopsie 18" would be the most common not 16” lol
I have a Midwest because James said just get a Midwest and never worry again. After training and meeting James, it was a life changing experience! Thanks and god bless Joey!
Miss James RIP
I bought the 25th anniversary and asked James to sign it. Its a perfect rifle in my opinion. Ive ran it in 3 FR classes and it just keeps on keeping on.
I just looked on the website, now they're 16" w/13.5 rails. What happened to his spec rifle ?
Also, specs 223 wylde wth...
The Midwest pistol James spec’d is awesome. I’ve had it in multiple classes, thousands of rounds, and the only thing thats ever stopped is the CMC trigger I put in it, which James would have probably given me shit about - if you know you know;) Anyhow, can’t recommend these rifles enough.
God how I miss watching that man everyday
Rip James badass man forsure
RIP James.
You should be buying low shelf SBRs. And stacking parts like you work in a military supply room.
I love Midwest Industries rifles. They are a BCM level rifle. People know how good MI parts are but have no idea how sweet the rifles are. It is my go to upper. I am glad they are still a sleeping giant because if people knew how good MI was the price would skyrocket.
Lol I think Joey forgot the drill of the month again.
Miss you James... Love you man
I just don't know what rifle to get. What's a good AR15 I should buy?
Stag arms or sister company aero precision are good upper entry level or bcm are very good mid tier rifles id say
James had some wonderful insights. And i know if he were here, he would say .40 still sucks. Haha. Rifle looks fantastic! :)
Are these made with the criterion barrels?
It's not what a gun company tells you. It's what they don't...no barrel or bolt carrier materials Likely means it's not worth talking about
Instead of using James in a thumbnail for a video, you should embody his spirit. Embody his personality. Embody his teaching style. Embody his philosophy. Be a good person, but by God, get loud! Be proud! Be aggressive! Be hard! Be opinionated! Be controversial! Be a badass! Get in people's faces! Don't back down! Don't be timid! Don't be soft! Don't be weak! Get in there and mix it up! Don't be afraid to talk shit, and tell us your opinion! Be a leader! I once heard James say that people didn't like it when he used curse words. His response was "If you can't handle a fucking curse word, you can't handle what the fuck is coming!" He was 100% correct. I also remember him calling out "fair weather pussies!". You got some big shoes to fill, if you're the guy who's taking over for him, but you ain't gonna fill them shoes by speaking softly and being meek.
Hells to the yes! I would love a TR edition rifle!
Get you one. I have one of the 25th anniversary rifles. Has run great through several classes.
*the one you can get your hands on because they are trying to take them all away.*

When you reload your magazine just push the bolt release button instead of pulling the charging handle backwards to release the BCG you nit wit!!!
You know that Yeager taught to never trust finding the bolt release under stress and pulling the charging handle is SOP right?
@@Ready4Rain That's funny! Can't fix stupid! LOL.
You are living proof of concept.
@@Ready4Rain That's funny! You seem to be the one that is living proof of stupidity if you think following Yeager's advice who is the only one I've seen teaching a slow way to reload. I suppose you have to do it his way because you are weak and can't handle doing reload under stress!!! LOL.
Boom
18in for 300yards?...Yeah that didn't age well. A 14.5 is more than capable of reaching well past 300 for lethality. Or better yet just stick to the standard 16.
I'll guess his main idea was keeping up the FPS at 300 yards, not just if the bullet will make it there at all.
Sounds like you have a 14.5 inch. Have you used 18 or 20 inch versions?
There is a world of difference between "hitting targets" and "lethality".
Those extra inches of barrel mean higher velocity, less drop, less windage, softer recoil, faster follow-up shots, and better terminal ballistics.
So yes. It has aged well.
@@philliplopez1501 Yup, own and our have shot basically all 5.56 barrel lengths. While a 20 inch barrel may offer some increase in ballistics the overall disadvantages of the rifles OAL out ways the advantages. A 300 yard target is nothing for modern 5.56 ammo out of a standard 16 inch rifle. Now if he said 500+ I would agree. At those extended ranges every inch matters. Also I would argue that 90% of owners won't even shoot past 150 let alone 300. Once again didn't age well.
@@PDevoLiaged just fine. This isn’t a dated comment made invalid by new data that we have that he didn’t have. Everything you know about ballistics and lethality he knew just as well or better. He had a different standard for what he considered desirable lethality, that’s all. 14.5 is great and is my choice, but 18 is better for what he wanted it for.
It aged just fine in my opinion. I think the point is that the 5.56 was intended and designed with a longer barrel in mind because the rounds' effectiveness has a lot to do with how fast it's going on impact. And the longer the barrel equals greater effectiveness at longer ranges. The short barrels will most certainly reach out there but the bullet won't be going as fast at longer ranges and might not do the job as well.
Ehhh
So those turds at Midwest industries called bitching about an overstock of old guns. Sorry. Seeing old footage of James Yeager just made me feel sad. He was clearly a nice and funny and useful guy. I'm sure he's missed.
The best rifle will always be the one you build yourself.
Only if you TRULY UNDERSTAND components and how they function as well as how to PROPERLY assemble one.
Most who do build them don’t know.
@@WDLC1911 right, whatever you say.
is it me or is it not available anywhere on the sight to buy
Man I miss James.
