This is the only source I could find on the internet to show me how to set the pressure on my press for my art classroom... and you made it so easy to understand! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Also, fun fact, I used your collagraph videos to teach my class how to do them! Your channel is so helpful! :)

Hi Kay, so glad this channel has been helpful, printmaking is a favorite art form of mine which is way I created a separate channel here. I am planning more videos in the future to help teachers and students in this practice.

Great advice. I just got a Polymetaal etching press hs-35 Could you advise me what to use to remove the grease from the roller, please

Sorry for the late reply. I would just wipe it, use the grease to polish it a bit. The grease is there for a reason as it can help to slow down metal returning to its natural state...rust.

Hi. I have a question about the bottom plate in etching presses. I've seen that there is a kind of SEESAW action of the plate as its centerline passes the bottom roller. is this normal? if yes, how much of tis seesaw action is desirable?

Not really normal, you are referring to the platen or bed? Sometimes this is steel but I have worked with a press where the bed is hardened wood. They can wrap a little which make a seesaw action happen. This is usually not enough to stop the press working and it should still print fine. It is just a little annoying, I teach with presses from the 1990s and a couple are like that, which means that a student has put too much pressure on that press at some stage.

Thanks a lot! Where can I find a print making press to buy?

In Australia it would be Melbourne Etching Supplies, I'm not sure about other countries.

Thank you, this is really informative - out of interest, what size is that press?
