Jan: Zero Waste legend at the Magnetic Island markets.

Meet Jan McCudden a valued member of our volunteer Zero Waste Magnetic Island group which is supported by Magnetic Island community Development association (MICDA) a not for profit community group on Magnetic Island. Living on a tropical island which is part of the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, just 8 km off the coast of the Townsville in North Queensland, is a privilege and joy. Jan also speaks about the responsibility as an island resident, to protect our island from being inundated with waste and especially plastic. Tourists and visitors to our island are welcome to join the action to a Net Zero Magnetic Island in so far as reducing as much as possible, waste going into landfill.
