My friend loves Dazzle Dry and offered her kit to me. She told me to go to UA-cam for instructions and there you were. And here I am. :) Nice video. Thank you for getting me started.

Buffing will remove layers of the nails. Do not buff the nails, ever. I don’t care what anyone says, never buff the nail. If you are careful and know what you are doing, you might be able to use an extremely fine buffer to help remove the cuticle (dead skin on the nail but not the Proximal Nail Fold which is living tissue and what most call cuticle) that the cuticle remover doesn’t remove. I wouldn’t recommend even doing that. It doesn’t take much to remove the top layers of the nail. The nail layers under the top layers are softer and damage easier.

It depends on how hard you're buffing. It should be a light buff so as to remove the shine and allow the nail polish to adhere better to the nail bed. If you're removing layers from the nails, then either you're aggressively rubbing using the rough side of a buffer - or you're using an abrasive file or nail bit - neither of which you should use, since there are soft buffing tools available. Gentle buffing should involve light pressure and minimal stress to the nail bed. Removing the cuticle requires gently pushing the PNF back ever so slightly in order to expose the dead tissue, which can be gently exfoliated away with a buffer or with a cuticle remover solution such as Blue Cross or Prolinc.

There are a plethora of 10, 5 etc free indie polish brands...

This is cool and all, but you can get the same results with regular ole indie products. I use Vibrant Vinyl's Ridge filler and top coat and never have chipping and can wear the mani for weeks. Their top coat feels JUST like gel, it is amazing.

@@caiticork8786 Just checked and they are vibrantscents now, the Fast and Hard top coat is the one that you can put over wet polish, it also feels like a gel coat which I LOVE.

The whole FREE thing is all a marketing thing. People get sucked into the term FREE and think it’s safer. Truth is, it’s not any safer than regular nail polish.

Hi Kelly! As with any product, we encourage people to do their own research and choose products that feel safe and right for them. Thank you for being here! -Melissa

I agree, the “free” thing is a marketing ploy. No polish contains actual formaldehyde and the formalin some hardeners do contain is a totally different substance. But because of DD being free of certain allergens it means it’s more gentle on nails like mine that are thin and prone to damage. I used to think it was acetone polish remover that wrecked my nails when it was actually the polish with irritants.

@@iwillstom If you DO have a hard time with acetone though, I highly recommend using an acetone additive. It ads healthy oils and SCENT and is luxury removal for sure lol There are some great indie products for pampering and rehabilitating you nails, I am partial to Chirality's Factory Reset though.

I disagree Kelly (at least for me). My nails were such a weak, damaged mess from gel/shellac polish (and the damaging light)that I quit polishing my nails for over a year to get my nails healthy again. Then thought I’d try it again…bad decision. Weakened my nails again after one time. When they started to look healthy again, I tried Dazzle Dry and was so worried when I took it off after a week or so. My nails still looked amazingly healthy!!! I am thrilled to find something that doesn’t damage my nail bed. Again, this is my experience.

This stuff is junk, 1-2 days later the polish is chipping.
