    Hi
    I have one of these machines and would love it if you could do a video on how to adjust the pressure foot height.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  3 роки тому +3

      Hi! This adjustment is usually set by your technician when you buy the machine. The height at the lever is a pre-set at the factory and should not be touched but the knee lift should give you a maximum of around 10 - 12 mm.

    great video. thanks for useful info.
    I think to avoid the marking under the leather you can also use some kind of plastic dog feed as lower feed. am not sure Jack accept that kind of plastic lower feed but some models of Juki accept it.
    this is what am thinking am not sure, because I've never use that plastic lower feeds.

      Thank you :) We have never used the nylon feed system either, I think the removal of the large spring or the collar in later variants is the easiest way to go about it.

    Great video! Thank you 🙏. Do you have an industrial walking foot machine with the auto thread cutter function? If so would you mind sharing a video on how to adjust the thread cutting length / tension to reduce thread nesting and/or long tales on the back when using the auto cutter / trimmer please.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Chris.
      The only adjustment to shorten the thread tail after cutting is tightening the small pre tension unit above your main tension unit.
      Your tail after trimmer needs to be a minimum of 20mm from the needle eye, to allow the first stitch to form correctly, and to reduce the thread from pulling out of the needle when starting.
      Basically the thread tail has to go somewhere, so if your machine is equipped with a pincher, you can turn this off, it will eliminate the bird nesting underneath, but will obviously leave a tail on the top side if the work, which will need trimming off manually.

    Hi. I’m running fast at around 2500 on a 2060. I’m sewing pvc coated reflective tape and bruises easily. Do you think it will be ok to run high speeds without the large spring? Thanks for the vids. You made me buy the 2060 in the U.K. it’s a beast!!

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  Рік тому +2

      You can only try but without spring pressure your feet may bounce more than usual. If the feet bounce then I'd say no, don't do it at speed.

      @@ozcommercialsewingmachines thanks 😊 feed dogs are chewing up my fabric a little bit I did think about filing down the feed dogs lol. It’s the bottom I believe that is causing it many thanks 😊

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  3 роки тому +2

      @@marzipazi7498 The bottom feed shouldn't be chewing up the fabric. I'd suggest follow the steps in the video I made of how to reduce upper presser foot tension, this may help. The "H" series of machines were designed to sew medium to heavy weight fabrics.

      You may need to remove the front plate so you can see what the spring is doing inside if it is not seating properly.

    Can you help me, please? What is the ideal pressure on the center foot? We usually use leatherette, rarely leather.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  2 роки тому +1

      There is no real quantifiable setting regarding foot pressure, it is a balance between the machine feeding properly and reducing feed marks on the sewn item.

    Hello! I tried to adjust the needle alignment when i changed presser feet on my juki 8700, and now i can't seem to be able to put back any presser foot. When i try to, the presser feet just touch the feed dog and wouldn't lift at all anymore. What do i do?

    Hello, good video! I´v bought a jack 2030G, and i need to up a little the pressure foot to can sew thick fabrics. Can you explain how to do that in the right way (before i do some error)? Thank you.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  2 роки тому

      These walking foot machines have a fair bit of pressure on the feet from the factory already. If you need to adjust to get more then all you do is release the nut that locks the pressure regulating screws and either tighten or loosen to where you need the pressure to be. You need to do both the outer an inner feet.

    Thanks for that. Would you say that it's possible to sew light weight cotton on this machine. It's great for doing my vinyl or leather but if I do a cotton lining for a bag I then need to change to my domestic.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  2 роки тому +3

      It certainly was not designed for light weight cottons, with a small needle and significantly reducing tensions it may do a satisfactory job, but I would probably recommend sticking to the domestic for linings.

    HI, my H6 is dragging my fabric out of square, so on my dog collars the pattern is on the slant, I don’t have the small threaded bolt in the center that you show removing and putting back in after removing the big spring. Also I cannot lift the feet using the the side arm by hand as you show with feed down. Is that normal ? I have auto foot lift on mine if that’s relevant

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  8 місяців тому

      Hi Helen. I've had a look at a few images and seen that the little middle screw is not on the H6 like on most other machines so shouldn't make any difference. It could mean that the upper presser feet are not on straight which I have had this problem on JACK machines previously or there is more pressure on one side than the the other. It could be a few different things. I'd contact your local dealer and get some advice or take it in and get them to have a look at it.

    Hi does the recent Jack H2 still have that upper 3rd piece you took out? My supplier are telling me the top piece isn’t part of the newer model , ? If so how do I adjust the pressure or should I just buy a smooth foot to stop marking my fabric

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  Рік тому +3

      The new H2 still has the same pressure adjuster but you will find that there will be a collar inside which you can remove to reduce pressure. If you watch our video on the PS-0303D it will be the same system as that.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  4 місяці тому

      If you are going to remove the spring, you cannot go fat as the foot system will bounce as there is not enough downward pressure on the foot to go fast. Keep the speed below 600spm.
