I was watching your tuna sandwich for kid's lunches video when the notification came on for this one. A very stunning outfit with the brooch and earrings. I loved when people used to dress nice to even go out shopping. I remember one day my sister and I were downtown shopping at the big department stores. I wasn't feeling well , we went to a nearby lunch counter and she got me a coke and Bromo Seltzer. Fixed me right up! This was great thanks for your hard work to make these enjoyable videos.
Your videos take those who were privy of the time period back to it, and for those who never experienced the time period in totality you still bring immersion. The contemporary and domestic side of life is often not given as much focus historically by many enthusiasts but stuff like this has its own importance, and its a window back in time. That and its relaxing of course. I was not alive during this time period but it still fascinates me to see heartfelt recreations. You got a lot of passion for this and it shows.
What a wonderful, thoughtful comment, Ki. I am certainly invested in this time period; my childhood memories are chock full of these things. But I’m so glad younger folk like you enjoy the time travel, too. That brings me great joy. ☺️💚💚💚
Thank you so much for your videos.I normally prefer soft spoken ones, but I just love the style and mood of yours, and just love how your posts evoke a past era.
Philippa. I was very young during the late 50’s and early 60’s and very lucky to be a teenager in the late 60’s. Your videos bring back so many happy memories. Every one of your videos is just as if we’ve wandered into a time travelling machine. You are a real tonic in a very scary world. Thank you. x
I just recently discovered your channel. Love, love, love. I relax and fall asleep to your videos at night and find I have to go back during the day to watch what I’ve missed because they’re so good☺️ What an amazing collection of vintage treasure you have for your videos. That dress and broach are gorgeous❤️ It’s all lovely. I love decorating and decor from Victorian to Art Deco to Mid Century…so, I find that aspect particularly appealing, as well as the creativity that goes into producing your videos.
Wow, thank you, Sallie. I'm so glad it brought back memories of your childhood. That's exactly why I make these videos--they bring back memories for me, too, and it warms my heart to know that others might share in my nostalgia. 💚✨
I was born in 1962, and I remember going shopping with my Mum. Stores used paper bags, and wrote out receipts by hand, or they put your purchases (usually clothing) in boxes. My Granny passed away a few years ago, and my sisters and I divided up her brooches among us...the brooch in the video looks so much like them. She had also saved some dresses from the 60's and 70's that had been made by a dressmaker, as her and my Granda used to go out all the time to fancy events. Unfortunately, she was 4'10" tall and tiny, so there was no way any of the dresses would have fit us, nor could they be altered to fit us. It was a shame because the fabrics were absolutely beautiful, like the fabric of the dress in the video.
Love this, remember material that my mum had stored away for many years after making my Grandmother a dress for Lodge evenings with my Grandfather as he was high up within different ones which meant trips to London, so as you know in that era for sure everything had to match and compliment. The brooch and earings are a brilliant match. So relaxing wirh all the sounds. Thank you. ❤🎉
I loved this, Sherri!! Removing crinkly bags from the tote! The Vintage set and props, the lovely dress and brooch set...I really felt like I was sitting at my kitchen table way back in the mid-60's! And you couldn't have chosen a more iconic image on your Life magazine...every lady wanted to be like Jackie back in the day! Thanks for another trip down memory lane...enjoyed every minute of it! ~Pam
I love that your videos tell a story. Where do you get the beautiful clothes and jewelry? I like to imagine that in the videos, you live in an apartment in New York, which is why you have the little ironing board and keep things very compact. Of course, I like to imagine that EVERYONE lives in an apartment (prewar) in New York. Or maybe you live in a Brownstone in Brooklyn…your videos are the best.
What a lovely comment, Molly. I’d love to have a little apartment in NYC, especially in the 1960s. ☺️✨ Some of my clothes and most of my jewelry I’ve had for a long while. But I acquired most of the vintage dresses after starting my channel (some from Etsy). Hope you’re having a great day!! 💚💚
Love this video! Even though I was born in the 90's! (Haha) I got to be honest, I just love the fabric brushing, if possible I hope that someday you could make a video that just solely focuses on brushing certain items like those cute handbags of yours as well as brushing those fabric cloths. The sound of that little brush, for some reason just puts me at ease, but other than that great video! Got yourself another subscriber! 😁
So great Sherri, I almost missed the cola the first time I watched it. I also really get bugged by the wire coat hangers (not quite like Joan Crawford, but still) useful for other things. Love the sights sounds smells touch and tastes; the atmosphere is amazing, thank you ♥
You get bugged by the coat hangers?!!! 😂😂😂 Don’t be throwing a conniption fit, Joan! (I love my big tall slender bottle of Coke. I remember chugging those things back on a hot summer day.)
just discovered your asmr channel. you are now my favorite to watch before sleeping. thank you so much for this super relaxing video ❤️ lots of love from brunei darussalam 🇧🇳
Hi Arifah! Welcome! So happy to hear that you are enjoying my videos. And I have to admit (embarrassingly) that I had never heard of your country until now, but I just read about it and now I know!! Thank you for introducing yourself. 💚🇧🇳🇺🇸💚

😂😂😂 That was a prescription meant to be dissolved in water-back in the day when drugstores had to compound drugs by grinding two or more into a powder, mixing, then distributing the dose on those little glassine sheets using the pharmacy fold.

@@MidModMeridianASMR Lucky us. Can’t wait!
This is a classic. Props, the pattern and texture of the material reminds me of my mom and my 70’s childhood. Bliss 😔🙏🏻💙

That dress is absolutely divine 😊
It is, isn’t it? They don’t make cocktail dresses like they used to. 🍸👗
You know I love that little brush ❤️. Lovely video.
Of course I do, Lauren. 😂😂 She's been making an appearance quite a bit lately. 💚
Pretty sure the neighbors heard me say "wow" when I saw your brooch set. Amazing! My mom could do a great beehive and was very stylish.
My mom, too. ☺️👗👜
Ahh, I loved this! What a fun haul! The dress and jewelry are so beautiful. Love all the fabric, and of course the magazine! 😍❤
Thank you, Steph. 😘💚

Oh yes, spot the Avon soft nail brush to gently brush the velvet style fabric overlaying the satin.
