The PERFECT 2 songs to get started on right-hand melody!! I took 2 semesters of piano in college as an elective, over 30 years ago, and the 9th was one of the first songs I learned. Of course, I was playing chords in my left hand and single-note melody in my right, but for a beginner I worked hard to finally get it right. I didn't continue with piano until the pandemic, when I picked it up again. I'm basically an accompanist, but I am starting to try melody again and this is a GREAT lesson to get me going. Both of these tunes sound SO MUCH BETTER playing chords & melody in the right hand! I'm going to work on this until I get it, thanks for the inspiration!!!
Baby steps. Learning finger independence like this is one large hurdle necessary on the journey to learn piano. We are so lucky to have such an angelic tour guide. Merci beaucoup.

With what you are saying can your insight be pretty much applicable to most song melodies by adjusting to the right chord to articulate? This is a wonderful lesson!
This is a lesson on how to arrange chords and melody for one hand, it’s not a lesson about how to place chords to a melody, I have a separate lesson on that, as mentioned in this video.

Not necessarily!
But can one figure out which chords should be played in the first place?
This is a lesson on how to arrange chords and melody for one hand, it’s not a lesson about how to place chords to a melody, I have a separate lesson on that, as mentioned in this video.
But why not just use both hands 🤗
So the other hand has is then opened up to play something else more complex perhaps.
