we bring you the latest updates on the ongoing construction of the magnificent new Barcelona Stadium. As we review the images provided by Espai Hector, we can clearly observe significant progress since our last report. Notably, notable advancements have been made in the structure of the second floor, where a substantial portion is now prepared for reinforcement, including columns and essential retaining walls. The inclusion of reinforced columns within the second floor signifies a significant milestone in the project. Simultaneously, work is also underway for laying the foundation of the service rooms, an essential component of the stadium's infrastructure.
Despite the extension of work hours authorized by the authorities, it has had minimal impact on the overall progress. This phase of the project is particularly intricate, leading to a longer time frame for completion. However, we are pleased to inform you that a significant number of steel columns for the third stand have already been installed. The stadium's foundation has been fortified with thousands of tons of steel, a portion of which has been recycled from the old stadium. This sustainable approach not only reduces costs but also pays homage to the stadium's rich history.
As we peer into the construction site, we can witness ongoing excavations to create space for parking lots and rooms on the lower levels of the stadium. Moving to the northern area, the first-floor slab is nearing completion, ready to be fortified with concrete.
