I think that the 'castles' and 'towers' are different things, 'castles' is the piece you created when you combined the rooks, and since there were only two rooks in the game left, you couldn't move it
^This. I thought it was pretty obvious.
If you can cheat, move his two rooks together and remove two pieces at once.
You can qlso, use one of his pieces to take another of his pieces. I really fealt when he got a chance to cheating he wasn't using it to his full advantage.
Yeah, they are. The castle is the big yellow piece.
Yeah!!!
Just casually leaving your bishop off the board and forgetting about it for the remainder of the final game 😂 this looks fun.
Yeah bro😂
oh yeah just checked lmao
Congratulations! You beat him and became the next bridge troll because you "sunk to his level" by counter cheating. To break the cycle you have to rise above his nonsense and beat him without cheating yourself. It's definitely doable he blunders a lot :)
I thought it was something similar to this
At 8:30, you moved your bishop on the wrong square. Its center is way off the square you intended to move it to.
Also, the rule on the merged rooks is that _castles_ can't move unless there are at least three _towers._ So I assume there the towers are the original rooks you start with and the castle is the merged rooks.
Also, because pawns can't promote (they ascend), there can never be more than two towers (rooks) once two are spent to make a castle. So castles can never move.
Nelson misinterpreted that as "the rooks cannot move" instead of "the castles cannot move".
A lot of those rules really did seem simple enough. It was very clear that the wording was specific for a reason and mattered, so I didn't see where the confusion came from on some. It also baffled me that you were not using the pawns to capture things when you were allowed to cheat, or even putting his pieces on those orange tiles to kill the piece and get rid of that orange tile.
He literally said his bad at the game
@@FD-wl7xq He's*
It's clear from watching that he isn't familiar at all with the conventions of puzzle games and such, became a lot more fun to watch once I stopped expecting him to.
Obviously you didn't cheat Nelson, you were just turning on your rice cooker
The rice cooker gambit 😂
Deep lore
only ogs remember
no one even tried to cheat nelson. what are you talking about?
@@TrueTruthHonest in an earlier video of his, he accused someone of cheating. he got a response saying they were allegedly turning on their rice cooker while playing the game.
Go for the "good" ending - you get it if you don't cheat during the game. It's... not easy, Any of your pieces is in constant threat, because the troll can cheat at any time. But I found that the rule allowing you to move the opposite queen is a huge help. Move her to a slippery square, or move her directly to the "piece of knowledge" (the orange stuff left by bishops) to get rid of her.
to be fair ai in this game is really stupid and when it cheats a troll randomly illegally taking an undefended piece almost never happen
@@kontousuniente4952 I noticed they don't really abuse cheating as much as they can. For example if you move your A or H pawn forward, they almost always cheat to take the rook... Which is an annoying move if you want to avoid cheating yourself. But other than that, their cheating isn't really startegic a lot of times.
For example I never noticed they would move my queen even though they could get rid of her immediately.
Can you use your opponents queen to take your opponents pieces?
@@Qwentar No. It doesn't take the pices, it just stacks them on the same square, which violates one of the rules that pieces should not touch
@@Qwentar no cuz taking pieces of the same color is cheating
You became the troll! Maybe Bobby Fisherman can find a magical item to change you back!
You sir are a genius😂
12:10 You should've accused. That knight made an invalid move.
Same with the pawn at 18:00.
It's already difficult when you know the rules dammit.
😂
Jesus loves you bro
John 3:16 (New Testament, Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16): "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Matthew 7:21 (New Testament, Gospel of Matthew, chapter 7, verse 21): "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Romans 10:9 (New Testament, Epistle to the Romans, chapter 10, verse 9): "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
John 3:3 (New Testament, Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 3): "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.'"
John 14:6 (New Testament, Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 6): "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

It’s bizarre watching you play a game of “chess” making these silly mistakes when I’m so used to watching your regular videos that contain so few of them
I've noticed that people who are really good at chess tend to do worse than a weak player when you modify the rules even slightly.
And to be fair, at least with this one, he doesn't know all the rules to start.
When you catch him cheating, take his pieces with your pawns.
23:15 it's called "only the knight can jump over pieces" not the other one.
22:26 you accused the rook of the wrong rule "you can only move the towers when there are three", you should have done "only he can jump over peices"
Couldn’t you have just used a pawn for your “cheat” captures rather than using your pieces?
The "you are not a juggler" around 26:30 indicates you were on track to get a particularly awkward achievement and you just broke the rule you were accidentally following to get it.
I like how he forgot about the bishop out of the board on the last game
It seems that a Stalemate (pawns being small-minded) was also considered a win for you...
Yeah that is what happened
because the king gets captured next move
Little brother: I know the rules of chess!
Also little brother:
Well, it is pretty close to correct. He got the knight right, and the gist of it
TBF, this is a bit hard to watch. It is entertaining, but a lot of the mistakes that you made were caused by you not reading the rules attentively, like when you assumed that queens can't take each other, or when you assumed that kings can't take opposing queens, or where you couldn't distinguish between castles and towers, despite having previously created a castle.
Literally this. Same with when he read the rules for the knights and the rooks which functions the exact same in regular chess and saying he didn't understand, when he clearly knew what those pieces did. Fun game and video overall, just was so painful to watch out of all the scuffed chess videos I've seen
ye
It's like the most basic mistake of letsplays: don't do it if you are bad at the game, you're just gonna make it frustrating.
"The rules are the same as 5D chess with multiverse time travel but without multiverse time travel, except for these changes."
"For refresher of those rules, click on this video"
@@alexphenex8 lmao good one
I lost it when the pawn fkn ascended bro 😂😂😂😂
That was really cool, a refreshing new way to look at chess.
You might also want to check out 'Drawback Chess', it's a little bit less on the fantasy side and more like actual chess, I felt like you struggled a bit keeping up with the numerous new rules. Eric Rosen played drawback chess a lot.
I got a chance to play against him once. I was so close! I had a winning endgame but couldn't convert.
Bishop went on vacation and never came back
That was actually an interesting chess variant. Sufficiently self aware and not taking itself seriously. I feel like the serious games that try to reinvent or upgrade or “fix” chess are on a fool’s errand, but this is just silly in the best way 😂
totally different game where the troll always wins...
Loved the video, would like to see you get the other endings as well, also could you make a video on drawback chess I'd bet you'd love it!
@9:14 goddamn! Even castling is counted cheating too! This is complicated!
Remember the words of the great pro wrestling commentator Jesse "The Body" Ventura- win if you can, lose if you must, but ALWAYS cheat.
I think a video of watching Levy, Hikaru, and Magnus playing this would be hilarious.
Brilliant - that was your best video by far. I cant remember ever laughed that much at chess: thnaks
Plays e4
*_YOU CHEATED_*
Best one
Wanted to see if you'd be willing to do a quick video on how to read and interpret the answer keys/board key notation in "1001 Ways to Checkmate". Looks to be a great book but the number notation isn't really user friend ly in my opinion!
when that pawn went to heaven, i burst out laughing
You should try oroboros king. Basically Chess+ but with power ups, currency, and new chess pieces.
12:44 he was so surprised that he let out a lil questioning squeak
Try it again without cheating. Said you got the bad ending so betting there is a good ending if you can do it without cheating back.. Also curious what the castle is if you make one.
i dont know why but i beat this game and i felt really triggered by some of the things nelson missed even though i think i did too
now to unlock all the pages
"The queen may not cheat"...Damn right! 😂
This is interesting i would love to see more of it
You're confusing the rooks as castles. The rooks are towers. Remember when you had your two rooks side by side and they merged into a new piece? That's the "castle". You then have to promote pawns s.t. there are three more rooks, then the castle can move.
No, the castle can never move because there is no promotion
@@chesscraze9329 Interesting... thank you for that correction.
Just a little thing, on the first move (or any other time) you can take either of the black knights with the rook, because it will automatically turn into the castle, and therefore cannot be accused. Even better, you can do this with the pawns and take all of black's back-rank pieces (can't be accused because the pawn ascends.). Also, if you ascend 8 pawns, you automatically win the game, so since the troll's AI doesn't allow it to do any of the OP things it can do with the black advantage (take white's king with any piece automatically winning at any time) you can force a win in 8 moves no matter what. (You ascending your opponent's pawns also counts toward the 8 pawn ascension auto-win so if the troll cheats to eat a pawn of yours you can ascend one of thier pawns as revenge)
the most tricky part is that in this game, the pawns turned into wazirs
You should try ouroboros king
I agree and it’s more fun!
You mind was so on autopilot with chess rules specific to playing western chess that the only way to win by two things one focusing on the other chess pieces except the king until later to capture. two focusing on the provide rulebook & learn is much as you can by trying to uncover the hidden rules. & bonus question just how powerful was the advisor chess piece?
7:09 You said he moved in + pattern, not that he moved off the board, that's why it's false accusation
8:40 You acciedently break the rule of that it can only move in × pattern
22:52 There have to be 3 towers to move a CASTLE, not the ROOK
29:51 It says that queen can't take the king, not that king can't take the queen
I ate a bishop
I will eat another.
Hey, you haven't opened all rules 😢
12:11 the troll cheated with his knight? How did you not notice?
the thumbnail move was actually an illegal move, even though bishops DO work out of town. This is because only HE can jump.
Bring back the chess adventure series pls
Watching a chess guy trying to play a funny game but being confused by the jokes rather than laughing is entertaining yet so infuriating.
19:28 - he can actually get it by pawn... or maybe he can move some enemy pieces out of board
22:39 wrong rule, Black Rook jumped when only he can jump.
8:20
I think that counts as the dark square outside the board, which is not on the diagonal
Watching you play this game was like watching those Last War Survival game advertisements on Facebook. Seriously painful to watch.
I see very few chess players who actually play different chess variants
I appreciate it
And pls someday play 5d chess with multi verse time travel
Thank you 🙏
just realized theres a hint that theres multiple endings, when the troll says you can take your revenge, revenge is in quotations
Funny stuff, do more of this please
like how bro at 32:34 just proceeded to not acknowledge the fact that rooks and towers are the same thing and castles are the orange structures
so beginner-friendly game design. (sarcasm, it's not the devs fault)
What if the bishop's gift is a wormhole to both pieces, you could just open one everywhere?
Discovered this game from you. It’s been really fun exploring the rules.
Also I think actual chess players are actually at a disadvantage in this one because its rules are similar but different to chess, and chess players are wired to think in terms of chess’s rules.
18:01 pawn moved diagonally lol
Aliensrock sent me.
13:07 The fact that the black pawn discover checked it's own king, queen took king and king resurrects is truly cheating.
If you play this game, you will forget the real rules of chess and capture your opponent's king
Waiting for 5D chess continuation ;-)
12:13 I got so mad when he didn’t accuse it of cheating 😭
Some how he forgot same rule many time, maybe cause pro similar to normal rule than regular player
hey i remember a year ago you said you had a health problem i I saw this vid and decided to check if everything is ok
that is actually so much fun
PLEASE do the good ending (or at least the ascension ending / duck ending). It is very hard but I believe in you!
One of those frustrating letsplays when the person playing has only a superficial interest in the game. Half of the problems in the video were because of not reading the rules closely, and ultimately, from not taking the game seriously.
At 22:52 in the video you should have called only he can jump. & the scales would tip in your favor.
Just move BQ to capture all of the black pieces 😂
can you pls beat nelson with only a queen and a bishop pls
I'm getting tilted and in not the one playing😂
It is so painful to see you play so badly 😂
Wat is it cold
18:00 you missed a cheat :(
fun video.
27:23 Really redefines the meaning of doubled pawns!
Nelson can you please play against the new martin bot? It's elo its oh no
Its gen martin
in the first play you move on a black square lol
That's was ridiculous
You forgot about your bishop outside of the board
Space uk is he played chess :
Please send me link how to learn chess, I want this for my kid, he don't know how to play
His king moved into check at 36;28 and a few more times. So if he isn't in check then, then it was a stalemate wasn't it?
Next you should try playing checkmate showdown (a fighting game combined with chess)
12:13 BLACK CHEATED!!!!
Oil up lil bro Im coming
8:41 can you seriously NOT see it properly, its on the wrong square
Unlearning chess looks hard.
This video is just him not remembering the rules
I think the problem is you’re TOO GOOD at chess to play this version
If we get rid of rule 11, would this be a fair and good version of chess?
Dude, you gotta go for the good ending.
Hans niemann be like
That was a funny one, I must admit hahahha
My friend gifted me this game it was hilarious!
This game is like learning to ride a bike that turns the other way around when you already know how to ride a bike :) It's fantastic.
edit: oh, I see you didn't unlock the actual ending, you should try figuring it out :)
