I remember as a child you start with half days and try to fast weekends age 8 even 7 if you can and you build till puberty when you fast all month. Also in Morocco the school day is short in Ramadan so once back from school we fast till iftar as kids and wait till we eat iftar with adults. Most kids try to fast laylat alqadr the 27 of Ramadan when it is believed that the Quran was revealed. If it is your first fast you get a special treatment and it quite a celebration. Nice food and hena for girls with traditional costumes.
Yeah it's a beautiful feeling..fasting is also about controling your inner feelings and desires for the sake of God) Ramadan is a beautiful opportunity to level up your spiritual connection with the Almighty and dispose of all worldy life filth) Good luck in your spiritual journey my friend) may Allah guide you ❤
Oscar is so much fun! I love how you guys involve the kids and how they are also excited to travel around the world! Welcome to my homeland I hope you guys had an immersive experience. Ramadan is the perfect time to be in a Moroccan house ❤
Hopefully, you have noticed so far how Islam is suitable for you in particular and for humanity in general ❤❤ enjoy it guys and make yourself at home "morocco"

Kids can start learning to fast around age 10 (a bit younger or older no issues). We teach them to fast from Fajr till mid-noon usually. Since they are still learning, you can be creative about how much time they can handle fasting and how to reward/excite them to keep them motivated. Humbleness, feeling the people in need, and family gatherings, are all part of the Ramadan experience. It's a spiritual journey as well as a physical one. BIG LIKE Guys!
You will never forget this wonderful experience. Very happy for you. So great you take such an interest in everything about Ramadan with such open warm hearts. 💯🙏
Answering your question on the fasting obligatory age, it usually starts around the time when teens get to undergo the puberty experience. Of course that may be different for boys and girls, which leads us to conclude that there is no set age as when you are obliged to start fasting as a kid. However, as a traditional practice, we kids were encouraged to fast from sunrise till noon for a certain day and then from noon to sunset the next day, which would "conclude" fasting a whole day.
@@AwaywiththeSteinersYes, I can affirm what was mentioned earlier. In my experience, fasting typically begins at the age of puberty. Personally, I began fasting at 14 years old. However, it varies among children; some may start a bit earlier or later. Prior to reaching puberty, children are encouraged to gradually fast, starting with half a day and progressing to a full day, symbolically completing the fasting period. On the 27th of Ramadan, children are encouraged to fast the entire day. To celebrate their achievement, we organize a special party where they adorn traditional clothing and are honored with sweets, money, and treats. It's important to note that not everyone is obligated to fast, especially if health conditions make it unfeasible. In such cases, individuals are encouraged to provide a meal to someone fasting who may lack the means to break their fast adequately. Women as well are exempted from fasting during their menstrual periods due to the associated difficulties. They can make up for missed fasts before the next Ramadan.
This video is very heart touching for me because I'm a Muslim and know about the fast and its blessings fast is change our souls and Faith on God more. I see in vlog the morroco traditional dress for femle is outstanding and very graceful i really like it. And there hospitality was amazing there siting place there dishes was very good looking nice and all over arangment is very good. I hope you people enjoyed all the time
This is a wonderful and good thing. Tell us about how you spent the first day of fasting. Fasting is healthy and beneficial for the body. I hope you read the Qur’an and the books of Islam. Bravo❤❤

It's incredible from you guys to take part of the ramadan experience ! Usualy only people who hit pubirty who are obligated to fast ! But it's custom to encourage kids as old as 12 or furhter to take part of it ! It's more about to experience hunger of the less fortunate people and learn how to became humble and feel as one regardless of one's fortune or its richness ! Much respect to your humble beautiful considerate familly . God bless your soul ❤
I hope it was a good experiance actually the first day it's the hard one but then it become easy . The most important in ramadan it's a blessed month . So keep praying God We could all benefit the blessings of ramadan
For suhur , you should go to market and buy the soft wait bread and buy honey and butter , melt butter and pour that on the top of warmed white bread put honey too and eat that with tea , that is what majority of Moroccans eat for suhur , and have som e yogurt after that drinks plenty of water . That should be good enough for whole day .
nice video , nice experience , beautiful country , beautiful Moroccan people, Beautiful family visiting The kingdom . Thanks for the experience. I subscribed
If you turn the Suhour into an early morning breakfast 🍳 you can have the same things you eat every morning on a regular basis… Morning coffee ☕️ or tea/ eggs 🥚 or milk 🥛 and cereal 🥣 or whatever, after you complete your fast 💨 you can have some lunch 🥗 to break the fast and dinner at before midnight 🕛 but you need to burn calories before you sleep 🛌 and wake up for the early morning breakfast …
