Thanks be to God that there are still faithful Catholics in the world who love the Mass and who are willing to make such great sacrifices to create a worthy place for its reverent celebration.
This is the first comment on this update video.....awesome. Such a beautiful church ebing build to The Immaculata. Ave Maria gratia plena pray for us. God bless all those people who have donataed to this project. God bless all who have made this project possible. Viva Cristo Rey. Greetings to you from the nation's capital.
Thank you! I was tired of trying to explain to people that this style of altar is very historical, not Novus Ordo. I like this free-standing altar style a lot, and it will be beautiful!
This is so gorgeous! i cannot wait to see it. My husband and I visited the end of August last year and were just enamored with the beautiful structure. It will be like being in heaven when we can attend Mass there.
As far as the architectural design of the Altar is concerned, the green marble columns would be very ell finished with a "baldacchino." I also think that some Barberini Bees would find a suitable home here.
I was just saying tonight that I would like a wider altar in our church and I was so happy when I heard 11.6ft wide. But then father said it was sized proportionally with the church and I was kind of sad that we couldn't have one in our little church.
I'm so touched! I'm Brazilian geologist. I know how rare is blue color in the stones! This color represents Our Lady and these beautiful blue stones (from my country) was selected for that! There is a little bit from Brazil in the altar of Sacrifice of Our Lord in the biggest SSPX Church! Deo gratias! 🙏🏼🥰
Is the Tabernacle a freestanding unit on the Altar? The renderings show 2 different images in this video - one just shows a cylindrical container (Mass card in front of it) and the other image shows a built up structure, seemingly part of the Altar, which then holds the inner unit....it's not clear to me which version is the 'Altar'. If the Tabernacle is removable then that would be very concerning to me. If so, the Altar is 'just a table' and presents the 'opportunity' to have N.O. Masses at this Church. Does anyone know for sure the answer to this very important topic?
The first image you mention was an early place holder. The second image you mention is the final plan with the attached marble structure enclosing the brass tabernacle. It will not be moved.

Where would one find that catalog that was seen in the video?
Does anyone know why they chose “domus aurea” to be on the front of the altar?

awesome
It's a shame that the money spent on this was not used to help all the missions who have been without even the simplest of chapels for decades.
