  • Dear viewers! Today we will traditionally talk about one of the most beautiful stones - OPAL STONE - The queen of all gemstones.
    Opal stone is a gem, colored as space, rainbow, and it indeed relates to something extraordinarily magical.
    Opal stone doesn’t have any crystal structure that other natural minerals possess. It ranks low on the Mohs scale of hardness.
    It is impossible to ignore the beautiful dance of colors that happens with every movement, called the opalescence effect.
    Rainbow modulations, changing at the smallest rotation of the opal stone, are caused by the refraction of light to submicroscopic particles of silica.
    The opals that experience such effects are called noble and go to the category of precious stones.
    There are many different types of natural opals viz., Ethiopian, matrix, Harlequin, Contra-luz, Morado, Andamooka, and Honduran Opal.
    Ethiopian Opal Stones
    Australia has been the dominant power in the opal market for over 100 years. During the early time, as much as 95% of the standard opal production has been worked in Australia.
    Today, Ethiopia is on its way to developing the second largest opal market in the world.
    A small discovery in 1994 has put Ethiopia on the universal opal map. This achievement was followed by some evident developments in 2008 and 2013.
    These are now producing beautiful precious Opal, fire opal, and black Opal with spectacular play-of-color in a variety of patterns and textures.
    Ethiopian opals are not only attractive, but they usually cost less than similar-quality Opal from Australia.
    Opal from this area occurs in a wide range of colors. Mostly, these Opals are of brown, red, or orange-colored, but yellow, white, and transparent colors are also very common.

    When we humans are under pressure, we act without thinking, producing our best work in the most simplest ways. The same goes for our Earth. Mother Nature has taken the simplest of elements, water, sand and hydrogen and under pressure, has created fire encased in a stone.
    Humans need to take note from our planet more. Pressure will always be, but the answers are more often there in the simplest of forms. This stone for me reiterates the idea that I use in teaching. Thinking can be overrated.

    So fascinating, the Peruvian opal looks like tropical water, yet is found in the mountains. It contains the elements you’d find at the beach, oxygen and hydrogen for the water and silicon in the sand. They’re like rocks that the beach was trapped inside like a looking glass. These Opals are so beautiful, the colors are stunning. They all look like a window into another world, some look like the universe, others like the sea, sky, landscapes, sunsets, even a glimpse into Heaven.

    Opals are truly magical and very beatiful! I hope I'll get one for myself as I'm a libra! I didn't know the major difference about their origins, that some are basically fossils, whilst the others are from volcanic erruptions!
    The other important thing about opals, the ones that are made artificially, are the best way to contain radioactive waste; it's less expensive and more efficient! It's still a work in progress and it's still being seen as a ridicule by most... I guess it will take time until deeper research is made to prove it... the process isn't hard to understand and to be used...
    I'm not sure if it's just me, but whenever I check up the diversity of such gorgeous gems, I'm drawn to compare them with sunflowers!
    -they both react to light, to the Sun;
    -they display emotions like us; opals react to the moisture of skin by changing color as some have speculated, giving the feeling as being alive, whilst sunflowers being plants are also thought to display emotions and reactions;
    -both sunflowers and opals can be and are very complex; many variants;
    -opals show complexity by changes of colors, sunflowers have many genes, almost the same amount of genes as us humans (unique in the flora... mysterious and unknown why that is...);
    -both show beauty through sacred geometry play (sunflowers display the golden angle...);
    -both are best used to purify; opals and sunflowers can purify radioactive land contamination...
    -they're both symbols of hope, of holiness, magical, uplifting moods...
    These are the things that I found they have in common and I just find this interesting to add...

    Gorgeous Opals. They are fragile. My Opal earrings…. My Budgie picked it out of the setting, lol! My ring, I broke a piece off getting it caught in a door. I love them but I’m too rogue. ✌️❤️
