I would LOVE to see DS Cute and Animal Parade remade because those were the two I played the MOST as a child. I still remember swooning over Skye and Wizard and really wishing they were in more than just one game. Add in all the newer content, like dates and such, and more dialogue because I love anything that makes a character more real and it could be so much more fun.
I want animal parade and Tree of Tranquility put into a singular game port for switch. They were actually my first harvest moon games and I'd love to see them ported. Oh also, I really want the games to keep the rival marriage and rival children options!
Animal Parade was my first Harvest Moon game and I really loved it. I tried playing Tree of Tranquility but I was super confused and just kind of forgot about it. It was still pretty good though.
I really love Harvest Moon DS despite its glitchy versions. I do hope when they remake it, make the female version have the best friend. And make the game not end when you marry a Mineral Town girl.
Honestly, I would LOVE if they did another Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. It was my VERY FIRST game as a kid and I still have it, my only suggestions was to add a new area and do more with the Harvest Goddess. If you were a player of the old game you'd know near Vesta's farm was a big hill with a path that you couldn't go down, if you connected your GameCube up to some other console(I don't remember exactly what) you could go into Friends of Mineral town I believe and get like a few records. It'd be nice if they added a new area there instead of making it kinda like a DLC with another console. The Harvest Goddess would've been nice to see again and actually be able to see her at the end of the story, maybe as your character is old if you've done all of the small tasks in the town ie: Clean Nina's grave, get all the non marriage cutscenes, and befriend everyone in the town then one day when you go to visit the pond you get a cutscene that she finally comes through the spring and thanks you for helping before your character dies, completing the story that we all started. Maybe after that, you could continue as the child but I'm not sure, it might get rid of the overall feeling of the game.
Man my first harvest moon game and I love it. I remember the love candidate and rival being so awesome. Also remember this game was hard as hell lol I would love a remake but it gonna be so much work again.

Agreed. They did so with Rune Factory 4, so I think it would be cool to get a port/control update and whatnot for the first three. RF2 was my favorite! They're all so good and it'd be a great way to get people interested in them to have the first four on the Switch along with 5.
Ds and ds cute were my first harvest moon games (Also Yes Skye my thief husband I love you lol) I think in ds I was going for the mermaid if I remember right but those two got me into the franchise and I’m currently playing a new beginning on the 3ds

ONE THING ABOUT AWL THO: HOW THE SEASONS WOULD SUBTLY START CHANGING EVEN BEFORE THE CALENDAR SAID IT CHANGED. You could literally see it in the pasture grass and in the trees in the Valley. That was one of my favorite things. Now the games just have it change with the calendar...
I would love to see a remake of Harvest Moon Island of Happiness. They could fix the bad controls and maybe make som other changes, but still keep everything that made the game wonderful. The characters, the map, the rivals, the tool upgrading system, the "story" as well as the events were all great in the original version! :)
For me I really want harvest moon island of happiness/sunshine island, remade from DS. Why? Because this game the only game that features opposite main characters as marriageable candidate. (example if we chose mark as our character then chelsea the opposite gender main character would be our marriageable candidate), and that's very interesting for me.
Also I could see other bachelors/Bachelorettes marriage in this game with their partner. Which is now for new harvest moon/story of season game, they remove the rivalry marriage, which kinda sad for me.
Also, I "think" that Sunshine Islands have one of the most beautiful and gorgeous sets of bachelors/bachelorettes I've seen. Friends of Mineral Town may the top favorite, but its been the same place over and over again. DS shows that the Towns from other games are intertwined, so its nice to see an Island Setting.
AWL would benefit the most from a remake, it already has incredible story development. Only thing it's lacking are more eligible marriage candidates, I would love to marry Griffin or Flora. They could also add character customization and shorter chapters from the previous games. Less lag, updated graphics, character portraits, the works.
I really want animal parade it was the best harvest moon game🤧... it had love rivalry and your rivals would get married and so many contests and you got to pick two types of avatars and both genders and the kids grew up ugh I need to play it again now lol You’re missing out Wilder go play Animal Parade!!
Keeping my fingers crossed for a 64 remake next, although I'm not sure what they'd call it. Story of Seasons 64? Friends of Flowerbud Village? Whatever, I just hope they keep the photo album. A remake of the original SNES Harvest Moon would be nice too.
That game is so good! Hm... I'm starting to think they redid the art/look of the mineral town remake so they could go in a different art design for a possible 64 remake. Since back to nature and 64 uses the same characters and all. I certaintly hope they're considering it. To me, nothing really beats Harvest moon, HM64 and HMBTN/mineral town.

I really want a remake of Magical Melody. I know it’s not a suuuppeeerr old one, but I would love to see it happen. It was my first HM game, and I never got to finish it. I know some people don’t like it, but I loved to musical notes, having a rival and the drama of the Harvest Goddess being stone until you save her is pretty cool. They could use the remake to fix some of the problems the game had. Going back to play it as an adult, I had trouble jumping back in. Stamina depleted alarmingly fast (especially if you use your upgraded tools to the max charge), run speed felt really slow to me (even riding a horse) and I don’t like how each bag of seeds plants in 3x3 squares, but you can’t walk over your crops (so you either have to lose seeds by planting in a line, or lose the crop in the middle). I like the cast, but some of them feel a little bland. Adding a few more lines of dialogue would be nice, and a couple more events as you gain hearts would be amazing. Other than that, the music for this game is some of my favorite of the series, it was colorful and there are plenty of events in the town you can participate in.
I always dreamt to see a harvest moon game where all the villages and towns in the previous games are combined. So you could actually visit between them like having a vacation from your own farm and so on.
Having just recently bought animal parade for the first time, I'd say it still holds up well despite being on the wii. Another wonderful life was my first hm game (and my only for a LONG time) and I'd love to see a remake. The story progression is so unique and think would benefit a lot from updating character designs and adding more elements like rival marrianges!
I only want a harverstmoon that doesnt have an ending .. and no deadline like after 4 years etc .... its up to you if u wanna have wife/husband at year 1000x
I personally dont like that, I need a story to complete in the first/second year that adds something to the game (for example the water bell in animal parade would bring more fish) some goals and a storyline. but then after i complete it, i want to be able to play casually. no game over. i hate the idea of the one mentioned in the video, where you have to save the town and then it automatically restarts?? i know you get to keep your stuff but if i wanted to play through the story again, i wouldve made a new save file
If they will remake a any harvest moon game. What i want to see is something like the rune factory 2 has. Expensive seeds Take time to grow. Rivals actually marry the bachelorette and has a son or daughter for second gen. If that isn't much i would also like if 2nd gen child rivals will get married and the kid they will have won't grow like baby or just kid age in every standard harvestmoon game. I mean its pretty boring if the rival doesn't really do a thing.
Man I just wished I played some of those awesome HM games but I was fortunate enough to play HMDS/Cute , HMToTT and Grand Bazaar. HM Tale of Two Towns would be great and Grand Bazaar also for remakes.
I agree!! The another/wonderful life series was my first introduction to harvest moon and it’s very sentimental to me, and animal parade is my favorite harvest moon so I’d LOVE to see that smashed together with ToT and remade as well.
Magical Melody, Tree of Tranquility, Animal Parade, and a Wonderful Life/Another Wonderful Life are all my top picks for Harvest Moon Remakes. Just getting a remake of one of them would just make me so happy.
Haven’t Moon bazaar.....first ever harvest moon game I played and wasn’t the last... Began collecting afterwards And am now obsessed with the franchise and story of seasons..
I would so love to have a wonderful life remade. Hopefully with more of the original abilities such as lumber collecting, commitioning carpenter, etc. But for me, my biggest wish is for a remade awl to feature mineral town. Since the two are neighbors I would love to see them interact. I would even love to see beloved sos/hm characters like Vaughn pop in to deliver livestock. I love the art style and the overall atmosphere of awl, and would like to see it applied to mineral town as well. Along with maybe seeing the other farms being a rival to your farm. Like how Jamie was in Magical Melody.

Save the Homeland and Hero of leaf valley are both my favorites. They're so much fun and I agree that a remake with more "Traditional" Harvest Moon things would be great for it
The magical melody was my favourite! My cousin and I would constantly play it together during summer while children. I would love to see a remake of this. It was so much fun.
I grew up on a wonderful life. I had both the male and female version and no matter what harvest moon game I play, it has always been my favourite. After hearing of the release, I went back and watched a wonderful life gameplay and the whole time I was thinking of how the characters could be redesigned, how many new bachelors/bachelorettes you could add, designing yourself (which is always a soft touch for me), possibly a harvest goddess plot (from other games) and how you could extend your map. How cool would it be if that large valley leading to the city that we could not go to became a real thing? It would be the first city you could visit and interact with in harvest moon... what if there were more love interests there and there was a subplot of marrying someone from the city and trying to convince them to live the simple life with you. I’d also like to design my whole farm... kind of the sims style... but I guess I’m just dreaming haha
Agree 100%! I didn’t know that they changed the chapter lengths for Another Wonderful Life and that you could sell the goat! Anyway, please we need a remake of that!
The best thing was the fact that you get to actually raise and influence how your child grows up in A Wonderful Life. If they merged the male and female version, added some elements from the DS game and give you the feel of the original, it would be amazing! Being able to raise your kid was so fulfilling. I also think it would be worth fixing/remaking the sunshine islands games. The heavy reliance on the touch screen just made me not really enjoy them as much as I felt I could, but I loved a lot of the characters and the scenery.
I wouldn’t mind DS/Cute, it’s one I haven’t played, and the whole thing with the witch and goddess sounds pretty good. I’m going to be a naysayer, but I’d really like to see Story of Seasons move forward, instead of rehash the past. I think the FoMT remake is a good idea, it’s one of their most popular, and they really need to create awareness for the rebranding of the series to Story of Seasons. But, I want to see them take advantage of the new consoles power, and expand on ideas and past HM gimmicks. I also think it wouldn’t hurt if they looked at what works in popular other series (Stardew, Portia), and add their own SoS spin and attention to detail. Also, just a pet peeve, I’d like to see them return to the one square grid system. The automatic 3x3 system in the SoS games streamlines the process, but it makes laying out your farm less interesting. Besides, finally upgrading from watering one square at a time, to 3x3, was always my most satisfying achievement!
I did enjoy seeing other characters have relationships, get married, and have kids. I always felt bad taking away one of the pair from my rival 😭 so I tried to pick a character that didn’t have a rival if possible
I would love to see animal parade and tree of tranquility be remade. Other harvest moon games, ones mentioned in the video, aside from tree of tranquility, I have not played before so I don't know if they would work well. But that's just me. By the way, you can so do some old games with emulators, but you probably already know that. You could even replay tree of tranquility along with animal parade.
Glad someone else thought the exact way I do about that serene morning atmosphere of AWL. The game is therapeutic and nostalgic to me to this day, and an HD remake would just be the greatest.
I'd love to see a Sunshine Islands or Island of Happiness remake! They weren't my first HM games and are not as nostalgic to me as 64 but it's a close second and third! The bachelors and bachelorettes were my favorite and the story was awesome as well. Also, Grand Bazaar would be hella dope as a remake too!
Wonderful life is definitely my favorite too, it shows how much mood means to a game like this. magical melody's char models bothered me, they gave the main guy such a huge ass lol
Harvest Moon DS - I always saw this entry as "ultimate HM experiance" because since ~90% of villagers are characters from different games. Main problem with that game was number of bugs. If they add characters from Story of Seasons in addition to fixing bugs then this might be one of the best entries. Harvest moon animal parade - IMO the best HM in 3D era. The only major problem in that game was social aspect. Getting hearts was slow and mandatory for story progression which could rly halts your progression if you aren't proactively rising hearts. There were also only 3 hearts events per character. I rly liked mining and how you obtained ores (even tho it was RNG). The farm could use redesign too.
You really should play Animal Parade! It and Tree of Tranquility are my favorite Harvest Moon games! You can marry the witch princess again, except its not the same one? Her hair's silver and I don't know-I really love her design and personality! And the wizard-both the Harvest Goddess and Harvest King! Oh, and you can have two kids! Its a fun time all around!
I feel absolutely the same way! Not only was A wonderful life my first Harvest moon game but Tree of Tranquility is my absolute favorite😍 (I also never played Animal Parade and that's a shame 😭) They both had this very relaxing atmosphere with a great soundtrack! I also love all the freedom you get in ToT: you can place your furniture where ever you like, you can choose your own pet, you can choose from so many different clothing items and even make your own accessories! But my absolute favorite game mechanic is rival weddings and visible time passing for ex. Children growing up and getting older. I don't want to be the only one who is happy, I want for everyone to be happy 💕

I'm almost 100% with my Harvest Moon Magical Melody playthrough right now and I cannot tell you how often I'm like "This game does need some technical changes/I wish I could have an auto-fedder" (mostly the later, LOL). I would just die happy if they remade it for the switch
I know some might say it's not really a Harvest Moon Game but I'd like to see a remake of Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon. I really enjoyed playing that game growing up. I agree with you on all of them except Magical Melody as I haven't played it so I can't say if I would want a remake or not.
I played tot and ap both endlessly and tot has a soft spot for me. I loved the changes in ap, but something about tot is more my favorite. a remake of those two, maybe combining parts from both to make it one story and one bigger world, I would be entirely happy to see that
When I heard about FoMT being remade I was like do Animal Parade next. It's a dope game in spite of the devastating disappearing children glitch. But actually I think I want Wonderful life more when I think about it. In spite of the 3 versions they made it could be so much better if they remade it. Except instead of the chapter system being time based it would be cool if chapter one didn't end until you got married, whether that be year one or year six and having similar requirements for the other chapters. Idk why I just didn't like feeling like the game was on a timer.
I would love any excuse to marry Skye again. Plus I’d love a remake of the DS games which fixes the bugs that pair was known for. I’d also like for them to include the gold lumber recipe from the Sunshine Islands games since the DS pair is one of the few games where you actually need the stuff, as well as the ability to remodel existing buildings to change their building material without having to knock them down to rebuild them.
Animal Parade PLEASE and I want it to be cleaner but also have character sprites next to the dialogue box because i LOVE that in games and gives it such a nicer, cleaner and overall warmer feel.

A Wonderful Life was my childhood (closely followed by Magical Melody, I loved all the festivals!), but Tree of Tranquility made such a strong impression on me too. Harvest Moon is so good!!!!
I hope they do remake DS Cute, it was my first harvest moon game and how i spent a majority of my time during my homeschooled middle school days. There could be some improvements (like making the best friend system NOT japan only, maybe some slight variation in child dialogue depending on who you married /probably not AS intense as AWL, but i'd like it if my daughter brought up the dig site instead of JUST Vesta's farm. A lot of dialogue expansions would be nice in general.) Plus i'd really like to marry Carter again, i havent played since i lost my file due to misplacing the save file, and i miss him;
You're preaching to the choir Wilder!!! Anyone of these would make a killer remake (if they only kept the heart and look). Something interesting that wasn't mentioned though was that Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (aka my childhood), at least the Special Edition for the ps2, was an incomplete game. There was a budding story line with drawn out cutscenes of the Harvest Sprites trying to free the Harvest Goddess from the Spring by cleaning the pond and collecting "nices" (she even makes an "appearance" as she attempts to present herself, but ends up hitting her head on the underside of the spring). Sadly though, this never goes anywhere, there doesn't seem to be anything you can do, and she's never seen or mentioned again outside of said cutscenes. If they were to remake A Wonderful Life, it would be EPIC if they remembered to complete that arc and turn it into an actual goal in the game, even as a side quest or something. MAKE IT HAPPEN MARVELOUS! ARE HEARTS AND OUR WALLETS ARE OPEN! We love these games just the way they are, so please don't reboot them, just a nice polish and some added content, that's all we need.
Did you know? in harvest moon ds and ds cute if you brought a level 99 poison mushroom to the harvest festival you would get a game over? You can also get a game over by not saving the mayor from the dog
Another thing they would need to do for AWL (AnWL) would be a rehaul on the map. It's way too small. I think they should add in a feature that allows you to travel up the hill and explore more places and meet other interesting characters.
I would've been interested in having tales of two towns remake. DS version is interesting, but oh boy, I would love if they expanded areas and towns, as well as having actual mines(the fact you can carry giant rocks bugs me). I really like the story and how different two villages compared to echother. Refregiration and spoilage made the game harder so you have to manage time, but it would be nice to see a split between house storage and carriage (and overal revamp of carriage system). The game could use and upgrade and some classical things from harvest moon that has been cut. I just love Ina and Rutger being petty to echother in the beginning. all the characters are really memoriable. (Howard, my love)
I'd love a remake of Island of Happiness. It had a ton of potential that was partially ruined by the over reliance on touch controls. It was ironically the first HM game that I became a millionaire in, and I didn't farm a single thing the entire time. The touch controls were too annoying, so I just mined like crazy, lol.
Harvest moon A wonderful life was my first harvest moon game and the only one I've ever completed fully . Just something special about it that imo the other games just didn't have .
The game I played the most back in the day was The Grand Bazaar when I was like 6-11 and New Beginning I never got married and I always goofed around while at the same time I would grind on occasion. (I also had ToT, STV, and one or two others I never got attached to) Then I got back into HM/SOS lately (I'm 16 now) and bought the Wonderful Life remake. Let's just say Molly is best girl, and I spent hours on it while only on year two lol

Ds and ds cute were my first harvest moon games (Also Yes Skye my thief husband I love you lol) I think in ds I was going for the mermaid if I remember right but those two got me into the franchise and I’m currently playing a new beginning on the 3ds

It was my first and most cherished harvest moon games so It obviously is a very important part of my childhood
It would be dream-like to see it again but in a totally different style...
ONE THING ABOUT AWL THO: HOW THE SEASONS WOULD SUBTLY START CHANGING EVEN BEFORE THE CALENDAR SAID IT CHANGED. You could literally see it in the pasture grass and in the trees in the Valley. That was one of my favorite things.
Now the games just have it change with the calendar...
I would love to see a remake of Harvest Moon Island of Happiness. They could fix the bad controls and maybe make som other changes, but still keep everything that made the game wonderful. The characters, the map, the rivals, the tool upgrading system, the "story" as well as the events were all great in the original version! :)
For me I really want harvest moon island of happiness/sunshine island, remade from DS. Why? Because this game the only game that features opposite main characters as marriageable candidate. (example if we chose mark as our character then chelsea the opposite gender main character would be our marriageable candidate), and that's very interesting for me.
Also I could see other bachelors/Bachelorettes marriage in this game with their partner. Which is now for new harvest moon/story of season game, they remove the rivalry marriage, which kinda sad for me.
I like Chelsea too but I like more if she have her favorite things and not just some trash.

Also, I "think" that Sunshine Islands have one of the most beautiful and gorgeous sets of bachelors/bachelorettes I've seen. Friends of Mineral Town may the top favorite, but its been the same place over and over again. DS shows that the Towns from other games are intertwined, so its nice to see an Island Setting.
AWL would benefit the most from a remake, it already has incredible story development. Only thing it's lacking are more eligible marriage candidates, I would love to marry Griffin or Flora. They could also add character customization and shorter chapters from the previous games. Less lag, updated graphics, character portraits, the works.

I really want animal parade it was the best harvest moon game🤧... it had love rivalry and your rivals would get married and so many contests and you got to pick two types of avatars and both genders and the kids grew up ugh I need to play it again now lol

Keeping my fingers crossed for a 64 remake next, although I'm not sure what they'd call it. Story of Seasons 64? Friends of Flowerbud Village? Whatever, I just hope they keep the photo album.

That game is so good! Hm... I'm starting to think they redid the art/look of the mineral town remake so they could go in a different art design for a possible 64 remake. Since back to nature and 64 uses the same characters and all.
I certaintly hope they're considering it. To me, nothing really beats Harvest moon, HM64 and HMBTN/mineral town.
@@purpledawn2727 Harvest Moon 64, BTN and FoMT are almost the same game with same characters, but in 64 the families are different and the Town too. If they do a remake of 64 probably will use the same graphics of the FoMT remake
I really want a remake of Magical Melody. I know it’s not a suuuppeeerr old one, but I would love to see it happen. It was my first HM game, and I never got to finish it. I know some people don’t like it, but I loved to musical notes, having a rival and the drama of the Harvest Goddess being stone until you save her is pretty cool.
They could use the remake to fix some of the problems the game had. Going back to play it as an adult, I had trouble jumping back in. Stamina depleted alarmingly fast (especially if you use your upgraded tools to the max charge), run speed felt really slow to me (even riding a horse) and I don’t like how each bag of seeds plants in 3x3 squares, but you can’t walk over your crops (so you either have to lose seeds by planting in a line, or lose the crop in the middle). I like the cast, but some of them feel a little bland. Adding a few more lines of dialogue would be nice, and a couple more events as you gain hearts would be amazing.
Other than that, the music for this game is some of my favorite of the series, it was colorful and there are plenty of events in the town you can participate in.
I always dreamt to see a harvest moon game where all the villages and towns in the previous games are combined. So you could actually visit between them like having a vacation from your own farm and so on.
Having just recently bought animal parade for the first time, I'd say it still holds up well despite being on the wii. Another wonderful life was my first hm game (and my only for a LONG time) and I'd love to see a remake. The story progression is so unique and think would benefit a lot from updating character designs and adding more elements like rival marrianges!
I only want a harverstmoon that doesnt have an ending .. and no deadline like after 4 years etc .... its up to you if u wanna have wife/husband at year 1000x

I personally dont like that, I need a story to complete in the first/second year that adds something to the game (for example the water bell in animal parade would bring more fish) some goals and a storyline. but then after i complete it, i want to be able to play casually. no game over. i hate the idea of the one mentioned in the video, where you have to save the town and then it automatically restarts?? i know you get to keep your stuff but if i wanted to play through the story again, i wouldve made a new save file
If they will remake a any harvest moon game. What i want to see is something like the rune factory 2 has. Expensive seeds Take time to grow. Rivals actually marry the bachelorette and has a son or daughter for second gen. If that isn't much i would also like if 2nd gen child rivals will get married and the kid they will have won't grow like baby or just kid age in every standard harvestmoon game. I mean its pretty boring if the rival doesn't really do a thing.
Man I just wished I played some of those awesome HM games but I was fortunate enough to play HMDS/Cute , HMToTT and Grand Bazaar. HM Tale of Two Towns would be great and Grand Bazaar also for remakes.
I agree!! The another/wonderful life series was my first introduction to harvest moon and it’s very sentimental to me, and animal parade is my favorite harvest moon so I’d LOVE to see that smashed together with ToT and remade as well.
Magical Melody, Tree of Tranquility, Animal Parade, and a Wonderful Life/Another Wonderful Life are all my top picks for Harvest Moon Remakes. Just getting a remake of one of them would just make me so happy.

I would so love to have a wonderful life remade. Hopefully with more of the original abilities such as lumber collecting, commitioning carpenter, etc. But for me, my biggest wish is for a remade awl to feature mineral town. Since the two are neighbors I would love to see them interact. I would even love to see beloved sos/hm characters like Vaughn pop in to deliver livestock. I love the art style and the overall atmosphere of awl, and would like to see it applied to mineral town as well. Along with maybe seeing the other farms being a rival to your farm. Like how Jamie was in Magical Melody.

The magical melody was my favourite! My cousin and I would constantly play it together during summer while children. I would love to see a remake of this. It was so much fun.

I grew up on a wonderful life. I had both the male and female version and no matter what harvest moon game I play, it has always been my favourite. After hearing of the release, I went back and watched a wonderful life gameplay and the whole time I was thinking of how the characters could be redesigned, how many new bachelors/bachelorettes you could add, designing yourself (which is always a soft touch for me), possibly a harvest goddess plot (from other games) and how you could extend your map. How cool would it be if that large valley leading to the city that we could not go to became a real thing? It would be the first city you could visit and interact with in harvest moon... what if there were more love interests there and there was a subplot of marrying someone from the city and trying to convince them to live the simple life with you. I’d also like to design my whole farm... kind of the sims style... but I guess I’m just dreaming haha
Agree 100%! I didn’t know that they changed the chapter lengths for Another Wonderful Life and that you could sell the goat! Anyway, please we need a remake of that!

How about the Tale of Two Towns or Grand Bazaar? I really liked those.
The best thing was the fact that you get to actually raise and influence how your child grows up in A Wonderful Life. If they merged the male and female version, added some elements from the DS game and give you the feel of the original, it would be amazing! Being able to raise your kid was so fulfilling. I also think it would be worth fixing/remaking the sunshine islands games. The heavy reliance on the touch screen just made me not really enjoy them as much as I felt I could, but I loved a lot of the characters and the scenery.
A Wonderful Life remake is all I need. I would be so happy

I wouldn’t mind DS/Cute, it’s one I haven’t played, and the whole thing with the witch and goddess sounds pretty good.
I’m going to be a naysayer, but I’d really like to see Story of Seasons move forward, instead of rehash the past. I think the FoMT remake is a good idea, it’s one of their most popular, and they really need to create awareness for the rebranding of the series to Story of Seasons. But, I want to see them take advantage of the new consoles power, and expand on ideas and past HM gimmicks. I also think it wouldn’t hurt if they looked at what works in popular other series (Stardew, Portia), and add their own SoS spin and attention to detail.
Also, just a pet peeve, I’d like to see them return to the one square grid system. The automatic 3x3 system in the SoS games streamlines the process, but it makes laying out your farm less interesting. Besides, finally upgrading from watering one square at a time, to 3x3, was always my most satisfying achievement!
I just want them to bring back rival heart events. It’s sad to be seven or ten years into the game and 95% of the villagers are just sad and lonely.
I did enjoy seeing other characters have relationships, get married, and have kids. I always felt bad taking away one of the pair from my rival 😭 so I tried to pick a character that didn’t have a rival if possible

I would love to see animal parade and tree of tranquility be remade. Other harvest moon games, ones mentioned in the video, aside from tree of tranquility, I have not played before so I don't know if they would work well. But that's just me. By the way, you can so do some old games with emulators, but you probably already know that. You could even replay tree of tranquility along with animal parade.
Def! I wouldnt mind if they combined the two maps. I own both and while i like ToT, i like animal parade so much more.

Glad someone else thought the exact way I do about that serene morning atmosphere of AWL. The game is therapeutic and nostalgic to me to this day, and an HD remake would just be the greatest.

I'd love to see a Sunshine Islands or Island of Happiness remake! They weren't my first HM games and are not as nostalgic to me as 64 but it's a close second and third! The bachelors and bachelorettes were my favorite and the story was awesome as well. Also, Grand Bazaar would be hella dope as a remake too!

Harvest Moon DS - I always saw this entry as "ultimate HM experiance" because since ~90% of villagers are characters from different games. Main problem with that game was number of bugs. If they add characters from Story of Seasons in addition to fixing bugs then this might be one of the best entries.
Harvest moon animal parade - IMO the best HM in 3D era. The only major problem in that game was social aspect. Getting hearts was slow and mandatory for story progression which could rly halts your progression if you aren't proactively rising hearts. There were also only 3 hearts events per character. I rly liked mining and how you obtained ores (even tho it was RNG). The farm could use redesign too.

Her hair's silver and I don't know-I really love her design and personality! And the wizard-both the Harvest Goddess and Harvest King! Oh, and you can have two kids! Its a fun time all around!
I feel absolutely the same way! Not only was A wonderful life my first Harvest moon game but Tree of Tranquility is my absolute favorite😍 (I also never played Animal Parade and that's a shame 😭) They both had this very relaxing atmosphere with a great soundtrack! I also love all the freedom you get in ToT: you can place your furniture where ever you like, you can choose your own pet, you can choose from so many different clothing items and even make your own accessories! But my absolute favorite game mechanic is rival weddings and visible time passing for ex. Children growing up and getting older. I don't want to be the only one who is happy, I want for everyone to be happy 💕
YES TO A TOT REMAKE! I swear that game is what gave me insomnia. Also I would highly recommend playing Animal parade! Hell if I can find I copy I’d send you it.

I know some might say it's not really a Harvest Moon Game but I'd like to see a remake of Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon. I really enjoyed playing that game growing up. I agree with you on all of them except Magical Melody as I haven't played it so I can't say if I would want a remake or not.

I played tot and ap both endlessly and tot has a soft spot for me. I loved the changes in ap, but something about tot is more my favorite. a remake of those two, maybe combining parts from both to make it one story and one bigger world, I would be entirely happy to see that
When I heard about FoMT being remade I was like do Animal Parade next. It's a dope game in spite of the devastating disappearing children glitch. But actually I think I want Wonderful life more when I think about it. In spite of the 3 versions they made it could be so much better if they remade it. Except instead of the chapter system being time based it would be cool if chapter one didn't end until you got married, whether that be year one or year six and having similar requirements for the other chapters. Idk why I just didn't like feeling like the game was on a timer.

I would love any excuse to marry Skye again. Plus I’d love a remake of the DS games which fixes the bugs that pair was known for. I’d also like for them to include the gold lumber recipe from the Sunshine Islands games since the DS pair is one of the few games where you actually need the stuff, as well as the ability to remodel existing buildings to change their building material without having to knock them down to rebuild them.
Animal Parade PLEASE and I want it to be cleaner but also have character sprites next to the dialogue box because i LOVE that in games and gives it such a nicer, cleaner and overall warmer feel.
I had never played Animal Parade up until a few years ago, and I can definitely say that it may my favorite Harvest Moon game. If it were get remade, that would be amazing 😌

A Wonderful Life was my childhood (closely followed by Magical Melody, I loved all the festivals!), but Tree of Tranquility made such a strong impression on me too. Harvest Moon is so good!!!!

I hope they do remake DS Cute, it was my first harvest moon game and how i spent a majority of my time during my homeschooled middle school days. There could be some improvements (like making the best friend system NOT japan only, maybe some slight variation in child dialogue depending on who you married /probably not AS intense as AWL, but i'd like it if my daughter brought up the dig site instead of JUST Vesta's farm. A lot of dialogue expansions would be nice in general.) Plus i'd really like to marry Carter again, i havent played since i lost my file due to misplacing the save file, and i miss him;

You're preaching to the choir Wilder!!! Anyone of these would make a killer remake (if they only kept the heart and look). Something interesting that wasn't mentioned though was that Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (aka my childhood), at least the Special Edition for the ps2, was an incomplete game. There was a budding story line with drawn out cutscenes of the Harvest Sprites trying to free the Harvest Goddess from the Spring by cleaning the pond and collecting "nices" (she even makes an "appearance" as she attempts to present herself, but ends up hitting her head on the underside of the spring). Sadly though, this never goes anywhere, there doesn't seem to be anything you can do, and she's never seen or mentioned again outside of said cutscenes. If they were to remake A Wonderful Life, it would be EPIC if they remembered to complete that arc and turn it into an actual goal in the game, even as a side quest or something.
MAKE IT HAPPEN MARVELOUS! ARE HEARTS AND OUR WALLETS ARE OPEN! We love these games just the way they are, so please don't reboot them, just a nice polish and some added content, that's all we need.

Another thing they would need to do for AWL (AnWL) would be a rehaul on the map. It's way too small. I think they should add in a feature that allows you to travel up the hill and explore more places and meet other interesting characters.
I would've been interested in having tales of two towns remake. DS version is interesting, but oh boy, I would love if they expanded areas and towns, as well as having actual mines(the fact you can carry giant rocks bugs me). I really like the story and how different two villages compared to echother. Refregiration and spoilage made the game harder so you have to manage time, but it would be nice to see a split between house storage and carriage (and overal revamp of carriage system). The game could use and upgrade and some classical things from harvest moon that has been cut.
I just love Ina and Rutger being petty to echother in the beginning. all the characters are really memoriable. (Howard, my love)
I'd love a remake of Island of Happiness. It had a ton of potential that was partially ruined by the over reliance on touch controls. It was ironically the first HM game that I became a millionaire in, and I didn't farm a single thing the entire time. The touch controls were too annoying, so I just mined like crazy, lol.
Harvest moon A wonderful life was my first harvest moon game and the only one I've ever completed fully . Just something special about it that imo the other games just didn't have .
The game I played the most back in the day was The Grand Bazaar when I was like 6-11 and New Beginning I never got married and I always goofed around while at the same time I would grind on occasion. (I also had ToT, STV, and one or two others I never got attached to) Then I got back into HM/SOS lately (I'm 16 now) and bought the Wonderful Life remake. Let's just say Molly is best girl, and I spent hours on it while only on year two lol
