  • Levent district (tur. Levent) in Istanbul is located in the European part of the city, north of the Golden Horn. It is part of the municipal district of Besiktas in the west of the Bosphorus. The area also has a rich history, with the first mention of it dating back to the 16th century. The name Levent is interpreted in different ways. According to one version, this is just a beautiful male Turkish name. And on the other - Levent came from Levend, which in Italian means "sailor from Turkish land."
Levent district in Istanbul is a symbol of abundance and wealth. There are a lot of skyscrapers and offices, the constant movement of cars and people. This is the business center of the city. It houses the highest skyscraper in Turkey, called "Sapphire" and has 54 floors. The height of this building is 261 meters.
When you walk along the streets, you get the feeling that you are in the center of America - around the skyscraper, traffic is constantly moving, on the sidewalks there is a stream of people that does not disappear day or night. Because of this, locals have nicknamed the area "New York City". It is hard to imagine that billions of dollars of contracts and millions of transactions are being concluded somewhere very close by. There are many expensive branded clothing stores and boutiques of world brands in this area.
