this song gave me a nostalgic feeling when i heard it, it sounds like some of the best edm tracks released between 2011 and 2014 but still sounding 2021 and giving a fresh feel to kpop. everglow closed the year in the best way possible

Everglow is the only group where i've loved 100% of their b-sides. Even if you don't do it on your channel, i would recommend checking it out in your personal time just to experience how good they are.

This comeback is interesting and very nightclub vibes. I dont think its better or the same level as First or LADIDA. I'm so excited with this one tbh and some parts i really really like. MV is really good, that desert set reminds me of the set for Aespa Next Level La la la la part, its pretty much the same

This is probably the 1st Everglow song (Title track) that didn't really hit for me, but I'll keep listening to it and see if it grows on me. Definitely not a bad song by any means, just not one of their best IMO. (Mostly due to the chorus not doing it for me)

I don't think this title track is better than First because their previous comeback really blew my mind but Pirate sounds like a combination of Ladida and Dun Dun but it also has a different structure and I love it. Everglow's music is always empowering.

I will explain the meaning of the song, because if you don't understand the storyline of EVERGLOW you will have a hard time understanding all of their song lyrics.
Simply EVERGLOW is a group of women who want to achieve their dreams in their dark world. Stereotypes about women have become a barrier for women all over the world to express themselves and even achieve their dreams. How this story is explained in the lyrics of Bon Bon Chocolat (ARRIVAL OF EVERGLOW) that they have woken up and are trying to face a world that has locked themselves in to reach their dreams. You can understand the lyrics but that's the gist of it. Until finally in Adios they became stronger and it was also explained that they felt disappointed because they were considered small even though they were always around 'something', I don't know what they meant whether they were enemies or whatever. And before the chorus was explained "I should be the main character in the first place" explained that they (the women) should be in the first place and said goodbye with the intention that EVERGLOW would end all this suffering.
There are still many explanations about Adios, the powers they get and others. I can explain if you are interested^^
At DUN DUN (REMINISCENE), the EVERGLOWs are getting stronger with the power they get, and something starts to mess up their mission, namely their past. It is not known what happened to their past, if you pay attention to the NO LIE song lyrics, there are several meanings that I don't understand. But in this REMINISCENE album, SALUTE is the core that is talked about about Everglow who wants women all over the world to dream in their own way even in the dark (Rebellion 1)
In REMINISCENE there is also the song Player which tells about EVERGLOW who managed to turn things around, where previously the 'players' controlled them (EVERGLOW) now EVERGLOW is controlling the 'players'
Next -77.82X-78.29 is quite a confusing album, because I also don't know what it means. The coordinates in the album name are the coordinates of 'ANTARTIKA'. Where ANTARCTICA has been explained in NO LIE 'Actually we were in Antarctica before'.
Maybe they still have bad memories in Antarctica, and that is explained in the song LADIDA and NO GOOD REASON, LADIDA herself tells about EVERGLOW who started to rebel in order to pin down the lower classes of society and defeat the 'players' and 'criminals' (rebellion 2)
Next, LAST MELODY 'FIRST' takes us to EVERGLOW which is getting stronger and has more power, FIRST tells about EVERGLOW that has succeeded in quelling darkness in a dying world, it is also explained in the song PLEASE PLEASE that Antarctica is in danger and dying.
PROMISE is a story about EVERGLOW who managed to restore the world and found a new world that they were looking for a long time ago (during BON BON CHOCOLAT)
Finally RETURN OF THE GIRL (pirate) means that the women are back from their slump, EVERGLOW managed to bring the women to victory, it is explained in the pre chorus that EVERGLOW invites women all over the world to celebrate their victory by dancing and being whatever they want.
PIRATE also tells about EVERGLOW who are looking for something (like looking for answers from their past) I can't explain it any more because it's so long😂
