    Hi :) just a quick Tipp when using the export function with slices in affinity. I used the slices for Carousel-Posts too and often had the problem that the colours on Instagram were off/wrong. One half of the picture would be correct, the second half wrong, mostly desaturated.
    To get the best results/most accurate colours I would recommend creating following "Instagram"-Export-Preset: File Format: JPEG; Pixel Format: 8-Bit; Resampler: Bicubic; Matte: White; ICC Profile: sRGB ICE1966-2.1; Quality: 100. I saved those settings as a Preset to not have to do it manually every time.
    Then, before exporting I would select all slices, select the Preset in both tabs (Selection and Defaults) and then export. Since doing it like this I got consistent results without colour shifting.
    Incase you are intereseted in seeing what I mean by desaturated colours, you can go check out my Instagram. Its @classiccontorcassel. There are a couple of BMW pictures where you can see the colour shift when sliding through the post. :)
    @Olivio vielen Dank für deine ganzen Videos! Die helfen mir wirklich sehr :) deine Erklärungen sind immer super!

      Thank you, Jannic. In the cases where that happened, are you sure you exported all slices with the same settings? Also you should always use sRGB - make sure you didn't accidentally change the settings in the affinity photo preferences colors tab

      I agree with Olivio and second his guess that you probably used different settings per slice, hence the inconsistencies among their colours. Also, standard bicubic isn't the best choice for resampling. "Lanczos 3 Separable" (an advanced method of bicubic interpolation)-although slower-is superior in quality to bicubic resampling.

    Hey Olivio thanks for your video showing this method in Affinity!
    I also have a way of uploading directly to instagram, you just go to instagram and hit F12 on your Keyboard, if you use chrome or any other chromium browser pressing the F12 Key will open developer options. Now if you hit F5 to refresh the site you will see the upload button, which should be familiar, if you used the app before.
    Have a great day

      Thank you, Haweker. Yes, that works too. However you don't have the other features there like on the creator page. But it's faster if you don't need them :)

    Hey Olivio, great tutorials!
    I just have a question cause it's really bugging me.
    When I post a single image on Instagram I get good quality, but when I post anything more than 1 image (like carousel), I get blurry quality on all of them. My export settings are the way they should be, and I tried them all but nothing seems to solve my problem. I really want to post carousels (with my graphic designs) in good quality. Do you maybe know the answer to this silly thing? :)

    Tip: After uploading such a post, upload 2 filler images and immediately archive them. If you then want to post single images, just unarchive them again to keep the grid intact

    Do you know if you can use a pinterest account for the facebook studio?

    I tried this but I don't know why the slices become pixelated and downgraded a bit as compared to if I save it by other method. If I make it 2x, only then does it compare to the original quality.

    How do you export a carousel of 10 Instagram slides under Affinity Photo and Designer ? I can't seem to save the entire document.

    Hi Olivio! Love your vids, I think I've watched all of them. Some several times. I don't use Instagram, but I do use Facebook. I have designed my own Emojis in Designer. Do you know how, or if, I can upload them to be used in Facebook?

    • @OlivioSarikas
      @OlivioSarikas  4 роки тому

      If you mean adding them as one of the sets that facebook offers to their users, you probably have to apply for it by directly contacting facebook. Otherwise you can always post them as a picture comment or picture chat message

    This is great but still Affinity Photo lets us down by not including an automatic slicing based on the size like photoshop does.

    All great apart from you need a business account to use facebook creator

    • @OlivioSarikas
      @OlivioSarikas  3 роки тому

      I don't have a business account and i can use Facebook creator just fine. Maybe that's new, but i would be surprised if that's the case. Also: A business account is still a free account, so there is no problem. It makes your business even safer, because if you would ever get your private account deleted for some reason, you still have that second account

    • @OlivioSarikas
      @OlivioSarikas  3 роки тому

      Here you have it from Facebook directly "Anyone who manages a Page can use Creator Studio, though your Page role determines the specific information you see and the actions you can take." - so, you don't need a business account to use Facebook creator studio

    how would I do 10 photos for the carousel?

    • @OlivioSarikas

      You simple make the canvas 10 pictures wide - if your pc isn't the fastest, you can reduce the resolution
