    This book helped me realize I was lesbian. It was the first book I ever read where I really related to a character (Ari) it is so poetic and tells the story beautifully. Every time I read it I grow to love it more. It’s an emotional rollercoaster. I love how the relationships grew as the book went on and most of all I love how obvious it was that Ari was in love with Dante.
    PS: I sob every single time I read the part where Dante got hurt (for the second time)

    I just finished listening to this book and i absolutely adore it. The family aspect was a wonderful surprise and i love how its a story of friendship as much as it is a love story. Writing was beautiful. Characters were lovely and relatable. I love how you went about this review.

    Ok but I can totally see you as Dante my dude 😂 I don't think its weird at all. I feel like I grew up as Dante and over time have slowly become Ari, ya know? People are no one person, we change. Pfft, told you your review would be better then mine.

    It's pronounced like 'Signs'. 😊 I can get the confusion. I'm really glad that you liked this book. It's one of my favorite books of ALL TIME. And I cannot put into words my feelings for it, but I can relate it so much and I love their relationship-family and relationship wise- because of the realistic qualities, because of the way he wrote Latinx culture and familial structure. And because I love reading about people like me and love like mine. I love this book so much and I'm really, really glad you liked it. 💙

      Thank you! I really appreciate you telling me how to pronounce it 😌 I'm very glad I read and loved this book too. It's not something that I relate to in personal experience, but it helps me understand others better which is something I'm always thankful for :)

    @Emma Green 😯We just finishing principal photography of Aristotle And Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe film. I was Ari’s stand-in throughout the entire process of filming. When you mentioned this book reminded you of novel The Outsiders that’s exactly what I said too.🤷🏻If you love this book you’re probably going to love the movie it’s in post production right now with a possible release in 2022 or 2023. Thank you for the kind words and humble review of the book.🙏 📚📖

    Wonderful review of a wonderful book. I, too, identified more with Ari than Dante. But I loved how incredibly patient Dante was with Ari. And not just him, Ari’s parents! Oh My God it broke my heart just to read how much love Ari was surrounded by! It was an emotional read for sure. Thank you for the review.

    Ari is the most relatable character I ever read. I really liked the characters, but I thought some of the plot points were weak like his father and brother's backstory reveal and how Ari's finds out his feelings. Also I keep seeing reviews how the writing is really good. I thought the writing was really bad actually (super choppy dialogue), but it made the book fun and easy to read.

    • @SweeneysFan
      @SweeneysFan 7 років тому

      Why? Everyone knows before reading that it IS a love story between two boys. In fact, I do not think it is a love story at all. The love is just a backstory for me :)

    • @hxope
      @hxope 7 років тому +4

      Ewelina Białek Really? I read it without knowing that, and honestly I wasn't expecting love. That's why I think that it's a HUGE spoiler. I thought that it was about friendship, and a boy who learns how to open-up to people. We'll then, I guess that some people wouldn't mind knowing that anyway.

    • @SweeneysFan
      @SweeneysFan 7 років тому

      Idk, the blurbs on cover in my country clearly say that it is about homosexuals. But as you said, I think it is rather about growing up and knowing your true self. Thats why I love it.

    • @hxope
      @hxope 7 років тому +1

      Ewelina Białek yeah I love it too a lot. Regardless of what is it about.

      I didn't know this until I watched a video review some time back. I was shocked because I'd seen the book around but had no idea that it was promoting homosexuality to kids. Very disturbing!

      Well yeah tbh like this book got hyped by everyone so much but it was just okay the writings felt random it was like reading a teen's journal thats it and oh boy Ari is shown as a really smart person but how didn't he get that he could be gay like didn't he get all those butterflies when he was with Dante like in the end he specifically said that he has been in love with Dante from the beginning and that he just didn't realise it but when u are in love with someone like in a romantic way u just know that's just how it is and i can't believe that Ari, a great deep thinker didn't realise that until the very end so yeah book sucks
