- Scuba diving in Zanzibar is a summary of 8 amazing tank dives in Zanzibar/Mnemba Island. This dive spot in Tanzania / East Africa is unbelievable ! Tons of fish and so many different species living here around the unique Mnemba Atoll. This was my first scuba diving experience after a brake of 4 years...and I promise : that won't happen again :) Enjoy my first try with a Gopro. Thanks! Zanzibar is not necessarily a "top destination" for scuba diving, but a combination with tours on the island is highly recommended! Have fun in Zanzibar and enjoy!
Just back from Zanzibar and did both Stone Town dive sites and on our last day the Mnemba Atoll - great northern & the Aquarium.. I am completely enthralled by what i saw. magical & life affirming

I would just make sorter intro or you should put the text in the pictures, because it took 17 seconds to see actual video and in this time many people can already stop watching it, I would say the first 10 seconds are most important.
Yes, you may be right but I must say when I look into the analytics it really looks well ---> no drop off at the beginning. However I always do some experiments. I like to "play" with those things and actually I think about a short intro clip with various footage of my videos. Big THANKS for your advice. I really appreciate it 😊😊😊❤

Ganz tolles, buntes Video. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen konnte ich meinen Tauchschein nicht machen. Trotzdem bin ich im Tauchclub und mache das Training im Schwimmbad mit! Meine Frau taucht und der Rest der Familie schnorchelt. Bald geht’s nach Ägypten-Video folgt🤫

I snorkel in Zanzibar and I was most disappointed as there was nothing left from locals planting seaweed and drag nets Scuba, on the other hand, looking at your videos are amazing
Wow das ist mal richtig klasse! Da hast du dein Video mega gut überarbeitet! Die Musik und der Schnitt in Verbindung mit der farbenfrohen Unterwasserwelt von Sansibar kommt richtig gut! Das macht echt Laune! In Sansibar tauchen wäre echt ein Traum (kann aber nur Schnorcheln 😆). Ich denke aber schon länger über einen Tauchschein nach! Vor allem wenn ich solche Aufnahmen sehe!
Die getarnten Tiere gefallen mir auch sehr, wobei ich das in echt wohl etwas gruselig fände :D
Wie lange tauchst du schon? Ist es schwierig so weit zu kommen, dass man solche Tauchgänge machen kann?

Hallo Patrick ! Vielen Dank für dein positives Feedback :) Tauchen war ein Kindheitstraum von mir, den ich mir auch erst mit Ende 20 erfüllt habe. Ich tauche jetzt seit ca. 12 Jahren aber immer nur im Urlaub da mir die heimischen Gewässer einfach nicht das bieten was ich erwarte. Die meisten Meeresbewohner haben mehr Angst vor dir als du vor Ihnen ;) Als besonders schwierig empfinde ich es persönlich nicht. Und auch ein "Anfänger" kann ganz klar solche Tauchgänge erleben und geniessen. Die Kamera sollte man aber anfangs besser weglassen ---> erst wenn man mit sich selbst unter Wasser klar kommt kann man auch mal die Kamera mitnehmen. Ich kann es dir nur empfehlen, das Tauchen ---> für viele ist es eine Offenbarung :) Beste Grüße an dich und bis auf bald !
Vielen Dank für die Info! Wie gesagt schwebt mir das schon lange vor! Ein Traum von mir wäre auch mal auf die Malediven zu fahren. Und da sollte man schon tauchen können oder wollen, weil sonst gibt es dort wohl nicht so viel zu machen :D
Aber wenn ich die Artenvielfalt auf Sansibar sehe, ist das mindestens genau so gut! Welche Kamera nutzt du denn? Demnächst kommt von mir ein Review der YI 4K+

Yes, absolutely. Scuba diving in Zanzibar is very similar to the diving in the Red Sea. A bit less corals in Zanzibar but more special encounters are possible...

Das UW Gehäuse bleibt dieses Mal zu Hause. Ab Mitte Mai sind wir auch wieder in Hurghada, dann wird auch wieder gefilmt 👍😎

Hi and thanks a lot :) That`s really a hard question because it's almost 3 years in the past. If you want the best results you have to edit the footage in post. And I also recommend you to use a videolight for closer objects. The main question to you is : do you want to edit the footage in post or not ? So you will have different settings for your GoPro ;) Kindly regards !
@@DiveDiscover I'm not really into editing, so hope to get the most out of my vids without using an editor. I've bought a red filter so I hope that will do most of the job.
@@karperboy OK, so try to get close to the objects but don't hunt them.Hold the GoPro calm. Use your red-filter only between 4-12m. GoPro - Settings FOV : Wide or better Medium - Colour : GoPro Colour - FPS : 50 or 60 ---> I prefer 60 in my newer videos. Don't use Protune-Mode --> only setted for post edit. Which GoPro did you buy ?

Ja, das war es auch! Ich bin auf Zanzibar nur vor Mnemba Island getaucht. Da gibt es diverse Tauchpätze und es wurde zumindest nicht langweilig. Als Tauchbasis kann ich dir "One Ocean" empfehlen. Da war alles top! Aber auch die "Spanish Divers" sollen nicht schlecht sein. Unbedingt darauf achten, dass die Basis ein Schnellboot hat.

Hi du :) Es spielt im Prinzip keine Rolle WO du deinen Schein machst sondern bei WEM ;) Falls du vor hast ihn im Ausland zu machen solltest du die jeweilige Fremdsprache, oder auch Englisch, besser wie nur gut verstehen. Professionell sollte sie sein...die ausgewählte Tauchbasis und möglichst deutschsprachige wenn sie im Ausland ist. Es dauert noch eine Weile...aber dann gibt es Feuer bzw. Wasser auf die Augen ! Du glaubst gar nicht wie ich darauf brenne endlich wieder Videos zu schneiden. Liebe Grüße an dich und bis auf bald !

Hi, schwierig ist das. Ein 5-Star-Padi Dive Center ist schon mal ein Indikator muss aber auch nichts bedeuten. Am besten man man meldet sich z.B. auf FB in einschlägigen Gruppen an und erkundigt sich dort nach Erfahrungen mit der jeweiligen Basis und in dem Fall auch Ausbildung vor Ort. Zum reinen tauchen (nicht Ausbildung) schaue ich mir die Basis vorher im Netz an und lege großen Wert auf ein ordentliches Tauchboot. Auch möchte ich nicht in größeren Gruppen tauchen. Leihausrüstung ist mir egal, da ich nur mit eigenem Equipment tauche. Hoffe ich konnte dir etwas weiterhelfen :)

I am going scuba diving here next month in December. Can you tell me what settings would be good to use? I bought a gopro hero 7 black. My biggest concern is the white balance, I feel like that will be an issue. I have a red filter as well. I will be editing the videos after.
Hi Evan, the settings depending on many things...do you do color correction in post processing or just cutting the clips ?
@@DiveDiscover Yes, I will be doing colour correction! But I would prefer to capture the best raw videos possible so that the post production work is less. I am new to videography and I'm not sure how well it will turn out.
@@evanbarker4787 in my opinion, that won't work. If you prefer to capture the best RAW-footage you have to film in Protune-mode. You will have the most possibilities in post production but also a lot of work and the best results. The work is less with the close captures by using lights. I was planning to use these settings on my GoPro hero 7 black:1080p, 120 fps, hyper smooth on, field of view linear, protune on, colour flat, min iso 100, max iso 800, sharpness low, shutter speed 1/240. But I don't know what I should set my white balance to, and would you change any of those settings?
@@evanbarker4787 If you do color correction with a at least semi-professional software...you don't need a red-filter. A red-filter swallows light, that's a big problem with a small sensor of a GoPro. You can add the colors (red) in the edit. I recommend you to change iso max to 400 (gets grainy with 800), shutter speed to auto and sharpness : medium. White balance : native. If you have a powerful PC also go for a higher resolution (makes zoom-in possible)
What depth did you go to Max.... 30 meters ?
