Seriously if you could pick this back up again this project could possibly be the best looking brick film I've ever seen. This set back might only help you make an even better movie. Please reconsider 🙏
It's almost impossible to express in words how much I loved Johnny Thunder when I was a kid and the fact that someone does this high quality animation featuring my favorite LEGO character... Just WOW. I know how it feels both to lose footage or being unable for various other reasons to finish a film. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate it. Johnny Thunder was my favorite LEGO character of all time when I was a kid and the love and nostalgia for him as a character and the adventurers theme in general never went away. It truly is the ultimate proof that LEGO can do great things without any external licences and IPs.
I know this is a couple years old, but these shots are amazing. The train passing Dr Kilroy is one of the coolest Lego animations I’ve seen. I also really like the scene of Pippin Reed sitting up in the tub. Simple animation, but for some reason it is a very captivating shot. Would love to see you revisit this project one day or do something else for Johnny!
Thanks a lot! I definitely want to revisit this project in the future. And now that some time has passed, I feel like I have gotten over the trauma of losing so much footage, lol. I'd probably start from scratch, though, and just use a few shots that I still really like, like the Kilroy scene.
@@StanleyQBrickWe’d love to see that! I’d love to see this project come back in any way shape or form. It would be so sad if this never saw the light of day in a realized state.
Ever looking for any voiceovers, I'd literally be willing to do it for free. Johnny was and still is my boy. Villain, traveling companion, or reporter. ;) My range is from Gollum to both Pinky and the Brains. :)
Aww no, such a shame. It looked good during production and that's been more than confirmed from this video. Honestly, the plot, sets and shot composition are absolute fire. I don't even want to think of how much time and effort went into the lost footage and I totally get how you can't face just redoing it. Having said that, I hope it gets finished some day, however many years away that may be.
absolutely fantastic. The sceneries, mocs and backgrounds, the animations, the mood of the scenes, the attention to detail. Dr. Kilroy rolling up his sleaves was soo great! :D I really hope you get back to this story line and make it into a complete film (no less than 1.5 hrs playtime! xP) or a recurring series. The plot idea is so sweet and has so much potential ❤👍
Thanks for the kind words. Wes Anderson (and Robert Yeomans cinematography) was absolutely an inspiration for this project and I'm loving to hear that it shows.
Cool! I was a fan of the LEGO adventurers too! I wish you work on this project again because after watching this video with all the camera and lights effects, it looks to wonderful! :)
Wow! That was fantastic! The set building animation lighting cinematography all feel like a real budget film! But it’s lego! And it’s just fantastic! Each scene gives off a great vibe and I could see the story there in like a sort of montage of what it could’ve been based off your plot description! Excellent work
Yes! I’ve been eagerly awaiting anything from this film. And wow, it looks amazing! Especially love the museum shot at 1:08. It’s a real shame you lost so much of it, but I’ll look forward to whatever Johnny Thunder project you might make in the future!
Wes Anderson was a big inspiration for this.So thats great to hear! As for lighting, use large and diffused light sources and practical light whenever possible.
Every time you upload I'm in awe with the set design, cinematography and animation. Hope you pick up the story another time. Also is there any particular reason why almost every shot has a different ratio?
Thank you! Yes, I will revisit this storyline in the future and start over. And yes, I love to play with aspect ratios - they're great fun and more of an artistic choice than a technical solution to me.
Your iMac probably corrupted in rebellion to prevent you from making such a slanderous accusation against the name of Thunder. Grave robber indeed! I jest. These shots are of a really high calibre, and it's a real pity that this project went under. I look forward to seeing what else you make about the Adventurers instead.
This is everything I ever wanted, looks absolutely stunning. I beg you, please consider finishing this.
I would pay good money to see this.
me and the kids would
love a full length stop motion johnny thunder movie
Seriously if you could pick this back up again this project could possibly be the best looking brick film I've ever seen. This set back might only help you make an even better movie. Please reconsider 🙏
Wes Anderson vibes fit well for this film.
Man, this looked so beautiful. Just remember, if you ever consider picking up this project again, we're here to support it!
Thank you!

Wow, that looks incredible! I would love to see that film. The quality is amazing, defenetly adequate for a legend like Johnny Thunder! 👍

Thank you for the offer! It is much appreciated. I will keep you in mind for when this project gains traction again.

This looks really good! The Wes Anderson style works well! Too bad it was never made
Thanks!
This gives me Wes Anderson vibes, and I’m totally here for it. Sad it never got finished, yet I’m glad we even got to see these masterpieces of shots.
Thanks for the kind words. Wes Anderson (and Robert Yeomans cinematography) was absolutely an inspiration for this project and I'm loving to hear that it shows.

Dude I love this! The lighting and cinematography is insane. Getting some Wes Anderson vibes. Do you have any tips on lighting?
Wes Anderson was a big inspiration for this.So thats great to hear! As for lighting, use large and diffused light sources and practical light whenever possible.
So sorry that happened to you!! Nevertheless the shots look incredible!!!:))
Thank you! Hope all is well!
Very Wes Anderson-esque!
That is so sad that it got corrupted:( i would have definitely watched it though
Thank you!
Man, I've experienced that stupid Fusion Drive. I'm sorry. Your animation was great though. I would really like to see you finish this project. :D
Thank you!
Someone should create a Lego idea for the Adventurers featuring the Golden Bull flash game, as that was never made into an official set.
Every time you upload I'm in awe with the set design, cinematography and animation. Hope you pick up the story another time.

Where does johnny’s robe come from?
From LEGOs 2004 version of Dumbledore. They used it in a few sets but 4729 is the first that comes to my mind.
Long have I WAITED FOR THIS FOOTAG AND IT DOES NOT DIASPOINT!!!! cpas log dern u
Hehe thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it!

Hehe thank ya!
It’s Been nearly 3 years since you made this so you should at least try again at it right?
So cool. What did S.P.H.Y.N.X. stand for?
Finish it right now or else
Sellout
Huh?
