in all my 50 years of fishing and boating I always dreamed of having the perfect boat. Well after owning 35 different boats I finally found it and it does great in my grandson's bath, no repairs, no maintains, no fuel or oil, etc. etc. Out of the 35 I would say 10 of them were pretty good and no regrets. Thank God for good sponsors. Best all time sponsor, PENN. Second, HONDA.
I'm a southern dude, but I have A.D.D. (it's almost as if northern, naaa), You spoke perfectly! Fast enough for me to comprehend, slow enough for your valid points to make Sense/ since...your rant re: all the crap one hears as a captain, SPOT ON!! Y'alls Video was Excellently done! And real. Everything you went over regarding the vessel, covered many of my questions as far as what to look for in the 22'-25' range. You, As a professional angler, seller and boat owner, I'm just Sayin', I really appreciate your efforts Taking the time to produce & to post your video!!! Priceless :-) You ROCK BRO!
This guy would make a very good salesman. I enjoyed his video because he kept it real. He kept my attention so I watched the entire video. The video is filled with good information and he gives good advice and keeps it real. No B.S no sales pitch no bragging and nagging just real good info. Thanks for the video.
Love it...........I'm still rocking my old 1984 21' Proline.....walkaround cuddy......130 Honda......up here in Daytona......the boat has been wonderful and the engine bullet proof !! The boat was given to me in 95'.......was a mess and I rebuilt the entire thing.....wiring....stainless.....t-top.....instruments.....engine.........so now I know every single thing about the boat and can service it all myself......including the engine !!!
I grew up fishing out of Sandy Hook NJ and moved down to Key Largo....you did a GREAT job with this video...I so agree with so many points...my dad had a 31ft. Tiara in NJ...great boat...but I HATED dealing with lowering those horrible old out riggers...always bouning around...the pin hard as hell to hide out no matter what we tried...best thing we did is take them off...I also so agree that you want a boat that isn't a financially stressful thing to run...most people can't afford to fill a couple hundred gallons of marina cost fuel just to run out to have fun for a day with your wife...smaller single engines are fine...it's not a freaking race...most of the time it's rough...if it's storming and rough seas you don't go...none of this is worth sinking a boat and losing somebody's life...like I said you did a great job with this video...have fun with Darci!...in the end that's what this is all about.
Brian!! This is one of your BEST video for several reasons, but most importantly you KEEP IT REAL about pretty much everything you talked about. It’s Sunday and I’m driving back from south Florida to Northern Virginia pulling my 21’ with a new Evinrude. Please make videos like this .,.. a lot more! Thanks and thanks if you read this. Peter
Brian- You outdid yourself on this video. I think you touched on just about everything anyone could want to know. Tell Darcie that you aced the boat exam with a 4.0 . Keep the great content coming. You both Rock !!
I've got the same boat. 2004 w/ a Honda 225 on it. I like mine a lot. I've taken it to the Abacos and regularly fish 30 miles or more offshore (out of Canaveral). I like the mods you've done to yours; particularly the cup holders. Really dig the Seadek, but that's not in my budget. I've noticed if I store it for more than a couple of weeks with less than 1/3 a tank I have a problem with condensation causing water in the fuel. One mod I did to mine was to line the top lids of the fish boxes with 1" foam insulation board w/ aluminum duct tape...made a HUGE difference on how long ice lasts. Keep on catchin'
I've always run non-e fuel. Maybe being stored outside contributed to my problem. Haven't had issues since I made sure not to run it low and then store it.
Brian GREAT video. I've been wanting to see that boat. I've been fishing all year and received 25 bucks for gas. 4th engine 2nd boat. My beer my tackle my bait. It costs a lot to bring everyone out and enjoy. The good peps will buy you a beer after a good day. The bad ones leave there empties behind. So people don't be cheep. Help clean the boat after a great day. Most of all respect the boat your on.
I agree with the 250 Yamaha, that thing's bulletproof. I've been coming through the pass at 3 am with 6 and 8 waves 12 foot rollers, we all made it home. You can't drown it even if your in following seas.
Brian you are a serious stud!! People keep saying your lucky to ha e darcizzle well I think she's equally as lucky to have you. I've said it before you're one cool cat. You crack me up! Just wish we could see more of you in vids! One day I have to come south and pay for a fishing trip with you if possible. It would be a bucket list to hang for a day with the Brian Thanks for all of your quality videos.
Hey Hey! We really enjoyed this one. Thanks for taking the time to show us how it goes! This was super informative. As always, we enjoy your solo videos man!! -Aaron
Agreed. I learned some good stuff about an offshore boat. I only ever use a 19' bass style boat and never venture out over a mile from shore up here in NJ.
Was glued to the whole video. 👊🏼 I've just started my research on buying a good saltwater boat (never had one before), and just felt completely overwhelmed with the process. After this I feel so much more knowledgeable now. Glad I'm subscribed to y'all. Thanks so much for all the work you put in your videos!🙌🏼
Hey Briant, Great vidio bro, i'm a big fan of both of you, im much older then you and miss Darsizzle 62' ,but still learn things about boating and fishing daily, you were one hundred percent correct in saying try boats out to find what please's each person. I am on my third boat, this should do it for me, thanks for your input bro, following my dreams and keep on fishing.!!!
Thanks for sharing your perspective on alot of basic topics. I really enjoyed it. I grew up in southern Texas and we used to go 50 miles off shore in an 18 foot open bow when I was quite young. Since then my wife and I have been living in Kansas City but we have been thinking about a boat that could get us around the islands down there and explore, fish, etc. I found this helpful!
Darcizzle Offshore I know in the video you said you only occasionally run over to Bimini and what not, but weren't you guys over in Morgan's Bluff fishing not long ago? Did you run this boat over there or a different boat? Curious what your thoughts are on a sturdy 23-25 on something long distance like running the Bahamas etc.
Just a Note: PEEPS LISTEN 2 BRIAN ... I have never listened 2 a Yankee as much as him. Free ADVICE that helps ANY BOAT OWNER. B = Thank you for keeping it real 5 the NOVICE. U 2 R FANTASTIC! Peeps will be more safe BECAUSE OF U!
Holy shit man. You know what is amazing? So, I live in the Pacific NW and I fly fish for salmon and steelhead. And, honestly, I'm not bad at it. But, my point is I have a gazillion rods, reels, heads, tips, flies, etc. So much it would make your head spin. And, then, to use them, you have to have lots of practice and know wtf you are doing! And, let's be honest, Darcizzle has such an athletic body, I subscribed to your channel, but I'm having fun watching this channel because as much as I know about fishing, you guys do it totally different. You two have a passion for fishing, which I share. But you guys use an ENTIRELY different approach to fishing because of your location and your target species. For me, that is what I'm enjoying about your channel. If you guys wanna try to get Darcizzle a steelhead on a fly, well, haha, she's gonna have to wear a little more clothes, and get a little better action than she was whippin' around in the Bahamas - but I'd put you on a chromer if you were ever in the area. Peace out and keep the fish wet! I hate seeing them out of the water for long.
Since this is a tad dated, let me elaborate. I'm hard core, offshore. I spend 90 days between May and Nov fishing down in Mex via Long Range out of SanDiego. I am pathetic. All my rods are hand made triple wraps with gold thread caps. I'm an engineer and bid on dirt jobs all over the 8 western states for our family business. I make time for my love, fishing. I have been thinking about buying either a Mako or a Yellowfin in the 30' range. After seeing your boat and knowing Donzi is a SiC' Italian builder, I am rather confused. Trust that I don't say that often. The presentation was just perfect and your Husband is such a nice guy. He really wanted us to understand that function over form, as far as electronics was key. How refreshing is that. I will trust that you know your just a gorgeous gal. It is your fishing that kicks real ass. I live in Newport Beach, Ca. After "subscribing," I've learned one very important thing.. Women can do anything a man can do, better.. You have no idea how pleased that makes me.. Kudos kids.. Stay safe, Have fun,,, always....... FYI ~ that deep color... that's my appreciation.
Thanks so much George for those kind words. We don't really feel like out boat is the best made for offshore use...we would generally just recommend a three piece construction for a center console as mentioned in this video. Will be more expensive, but will also hold value. With the rising cost of new boats, used boats values are actually rising as well. My USMC brother is leaving for his new station on the west coast, so MAYBE he will be near you! (He's not allowed to tell us yet specifically where he is going). Best of luck out there and thanks so much for following along. --Darcie & Brian PS: The hulltruth.com has LOTS of great info on boats and all boating stuff.
Awesome job, Brian! I learned a bunch. Your solo vids are better than you think. I like that you don't sugar coat everything. Take care. Until next vid, peace. PS: I still have concerns about the hitting the bucket! LMBO!!
Great info! You confirmed our long standing policy of, even though we really would like one, to never buy a boat because of the upfront and ongoing costs and go on more cruises. We just got back from San Juan PR and had no worries about anything other than being on time for dinner.
Hey Brian, being a fellow New Yorker now living in Atlanta GA I was raised on Moriches Bay I know what you mean when you referenced Moriches inlet which I think is the most dangerous inlet in the country. Keep up producing the wonderful Darcizzle videos watch them everyday.
Good job Brian. Great info and your are right I have a 28' Pursuit and it's even more expensive with two motors and we have to go 30 miles off shore. Good safety info and gotta have it. Go get them Darcy👍🏽
Not many bad engines now days. Trim tabs a must. Rod holders a must. Backup battery is a must for offshore. I still use Senators. when I'm in the salt. Dude, the outriggers are nice. Electronics companies are the devil. Just when you get the latest thing they upgrade and you spend more money. Safety first, I like your message on this. I don't think I have ever bought a new boat. Tooo many great used ones out there.Great video Brian.
I love watching your videos - you and Darci(y) make a great couple. I definitely see why she would be attracted to you with your personality. Thanks for the video. I bought a Cobia 261CC last year (first boat that I own) and love it but I'm such a novice compared to you two. God's speed my friends!
Very cool video Brian .....very informative....and very cool boat....didn't realize how much is on these offshore boats ..also like how you said safety is important out there...very important
Anchor ball is money! Saves so much time, but anytime I have a first timer on the boat I make them pull the anchor at least one time to appreciate the anchor ball 😁
yes used an anchor ball for years finally changed over to a windlass, best 700$ i spent, and i anchor in 200 + feet of water so have 400' and more rope out, next is going to be an offshore IPilot trolling motor instead of the anchor, too much better
Brian's not the smoothest talker (well he did get Darcy), but I liked this video. Explained what you need to fish and didn't come of as saying you need the latest 2017 gear to catch fish... like some other channels do. He gained a good bit of respect with me. Keep on catchin'.
Loved this video, really discovered you Brian, really intelligent comments and reasoning, common sense...must be amazing for anybody (Darcizzle included) to spend a day fishing with you!!!
Grew up fishing Moriches. I’m from mastic m. Just moved to Florida. Man winter conditions back home put about everything I’ve been in down here to Shame.
Great insight Brian!!! Being that the wife and I are going to follow our dreams next year and move to the beach so I can fish for a living, these are the small tips and info I will need to have!! Thanks again my man!!
Good job flying solo, Brian! I'm moving down to the Gulf coast soon; now you've got me thinking about getting an offshore boat like yours. At least until you started talking about costs! But it's something to dream on. Maybe one day we'll cross wakes, and you guys can shout over, where's the hot bite! Darcie, good luck with that last, final-final! You're gonna ACE it. It's a hell of a lot of work to get that far, but it will all be worth it. Applause and congratulations!
great video. im from minnesota, and i came across your channel a few weeks ago, and i also have a new dream. move to the east coast and buy an offshore boat like this and fish! we dont have boats like these in minnesota, mostly just small lake fishing boats. i actually looked up boats like yours about a week ago, and had no idea what i was looking for or what i needed, and this video was very helpful, so thanks for this video.
Hi Brian. Thanks for your effort. Honest and helpful. Just wanted to say my grandfather taught me to fish when I was 2 out of Silly Lily fishing station,. They are still open I see and that was A long time ago.. Say hi to Darcie for me and thanks for all the fantastic fishing vids!
Really enjoyed this video. I have no interest in fishing, but I hope to be in southern Florida in 5 years and I want to be able to go offshore. Will be considering a 23-25 foot center console. Thanks for the information contained here.
thanks for dispelling the Smith of two motors, i have fished offshore with one motor and only got stranded once and it was a fuel tank issue that would have stopped all motors
Wow! Great Job Brian! Josh and I really appreciated this one more than you know! You did exceptional on this video! You answered so many questions we didn't even realize we had. We laughed at your don't ask me this and that part. Haha like where to stay. You guys are great and your humor is so on point. Maybe in the next year or two we can get together with you guys and go fishing. However, we are still working our salt water abilities. As always we enjoyed:)
Good video Bri, boating is not cheap we run a 28ft Regulator up here in Jersey. We have to go 80 miles sometimes to catch the fish you guys catch 3 miles. Like watching you guys ocean fish.. Thanks
Hi Brian ,Hi Darci, just discovered your you-tube videos Brian that's the perfect all around size boat to catch just about everything inshore off shore etc.
Brian, great video. Very good outfitting of your boat. I think you are correct in running a single engine, especially the Yamaha, but a small ' kicker' off to the side would be a thought for slow trolling as well as a 'get home' solution instead of calling for a tow in the event of a main engine failure. We had four power cruisers for a total of 43 years (yes, I am old) and were never towed in. Anyway, great job to both of you on the videos. -Paul
so we ended up buying a 23 ft. pro line walk around, for the shelter aspects. gulf side fishing so ,,, mostly snapper grouper and such . thanks for your imput.
LMAO.....great stuff. Let me fist say this. I found this channel originally for 3 reasons: 1. I like to fish and don't get enough time or money to go. 2. I have a thing for sexy girls with long hair! 3. I have a thing for sexy girls that like to fish!! Now with that said, once I subscribed and started watching the videos, I find out there is a guy behind the camera from NY who says it like it is! IM from NJ originally, and grew up around people who talk fast, say it like it is, and don't sugar coat anything! Bathroom facilities on a center console offshore boat...hell yeah its a bucket and a roll of TP. If you need more than that, you don't belong on a boat anyways.I just finished watching a 25 minute video on your channel and Darci wasn't even in this one. Yall's channel is entertaining for me and is comprised of 2 people! Thanks for the info on boats, and the breakdown on costs too. I have always wondered how the costs break down for fishing offshore. I don't think you mentioned anything about docking fees, so my guess is you always trailer the boat and put in at a ramp. And the end of the video was funny too!
yeah I caught that. Figured that meant all year long it was stored there and you typically do day trips. Wasn't sure how things work if you spend a weekend or 4-5 day trip away from the ramp area. Not sure if you saw my comment or not from a past video, but you will know what Im talking about, Hell yes I sure do remember snapper fishing as a kid, toms river NJ off the piers....LOL. And the snappers we caught sure as hell weren't red or orange!!
They take it in and out whenever you want with forklifts. I get there, say put my boat in the water, they do, and I drive off. When I get back they pick it up and put it back.
Years ago I saw a sign in my barber's shop, hung right under a picture of his sailing yacht... The sign read, "A boat is a hole in the middle of the water that you throw all your money into"... He said that he got to enjoy that boat for 3 weeks a year. the rest of the time he was bissy making the money to keep it...LOL. He was an awesome guy and barber. It was just a bit to sad that he never got to retire and sail around the world like he had dreamed...
in all my 50 years of fishing and boating I always dreamed of having the perfect boat.
Thanks for watching Stephen
"If your on a boat, they ain't got no bait well, you're not on a fishing boat" great line - nice boat.

The knowledge gained from watching your videos is fantastic. I started to watch for 1 reason then realized information is abound within the videos.
Click for the thumbnail, sub for the fishing! lol
That's exactly what happened when I subbed months ago. This video was pure Information on boats. I loved it. Best of luck with your finals Darcie!
My cousin Vinny with the boat breakdown...love it !!!!
I really appreciate the grounded explanation of getting started in center console fishing. 🙂
Thanks for the info ... I've wrestled much with people on the "one engine two engine" argument. Todays 4-strokes are very reliable!
Brian!! This is one of your BEST video for several reasons, but most importantly you KEEP IT REAL about pretty much everything you talked about. It’s Sunday and I’m driving back from south Florida to Northern Virginia pulling my 21’ with a new Evinrude.

Thanks a lot Daily!!!
Great video Brian. Most people have no clue about dead rise.

I've always run non-e fuel. Maybe being stored outside contributed to my problem. Haven't had issues since I made sure not to run it low and then store it.

This video covers exactly what I was asking about the other day. Thanks.
cool!
we have a 23 ft sportsman perfect size for offshore as long as the weathers good and not a whole bunch of people fishing love it
and by love it i meant your boat

Thanks Forrest much appreciated. Just totally diff fishing. And for sure, I'm a noob at fly
I'm jelly of the salt life. Can't wait for vacation. Liked!
Thanks!
I"m very glad I saw this. I'm looking for a 22-24 for inshore/offshore in Bradenton area. Great Tips Puddin!

Thanks Charles!
Very nice boat guys. Only thing I might change is hard top rather than soft top. Tight lines!!!
LOL very funny commentary Love your candor and sense of humor. But very thorough.
Ty dane
Man Puddin i just saw this video thanks for covering so much info great Job
Thanks for sharing. Great team.
Hey Brian, good job on this vid. Good information and kept it simple. You have a nice set up. Thanx again!
Thaks will
The man says he’s not a boat expert, but at 3:16 he states his boat has a great offshore bottom, and on that topic the man is an expert.
Having a clue, does not make someone an expert. Thaks for watching.
It wasn't meant as a dig. My expertise is in failing at humor.
I love watching your videos - you and Darci(y) make a great couple. I definitely see why she would be attracted to you with your personality. Thanks for the video. I bought a Cobia 261CC last year (first boat that I own) and love it but I'm such a novice compared to you two. God's speed my friends!
Very cool video Brian .....very informative....and very cool boat....didn't realize how much is on these offshore boats ..also like how you said safety is important out there...very important
thanks amrk
Anchor ball is money! Saves so much time, but anytime I have a first timer on the boat I make them pull the anchor at least one time to appreciate the anchor ball 😁
yes used an anchor ball for years finally changed over to a windlass, best 700$ i spent, and i anchor in 200 + feet of water so have 400' and more rope out, next is going to be an offshore IPilot trolling motor instead of the anchor, too much better
Thanks Brian, you covered a lot of info. But now Im thinking that Boating /Fishing is affordable to most.
Best info vid on UA-cam.
Great video Brian you shared a lot of great info!
Great insight Brian!!! Being that the wife and I are going to follow our dreams next year and move to the beach so I can fish for a living, these are the small tips and info I will need to have!! Thanks again my man!!
Thanks for this video! We love what you do!
Thanks Fam. :)
Applause and congratulations!
thanks adam
great video. im from minnesota, and i came across your channel a few weeks ago, and i also have a new dream. move to the east coast and buy an offshore boat like this and fish! we dont have boats like these in minnesota, mostly just small lake fishing boats. i actually looked up boats like yours about a week ago, and had no idea what i was looking for or what i needed, and this video was very helpful, so thanks for this video.
awesome walley, thanks for watching
Brian you need to do a vlog on boat maintenance and cleaning
All of vlogs are great , love the hypersonic hook set
I don't do either very well.
sweet fishing boat, love how organized it is...
Thanks for the information contained here.
thanks for dispelling the Smith of two motors, i have fished offshore with one motor and only got stranded once and it was a fuel tank issue that would have stopped all motors
exactly
Thanks again guys!
Brian great job on the boat info. safety. equipment,, everything you covered was excellent..
Thanks man. --B
Great video man! Appreciate the free loader part, lol!!!! Thanks again guys for all you both do!
giving them a HINT!
Good video Bri, boating is not cheap we run a 28ft Regulator up here in Jersey. We have to go 80 miles sometimes to catch the fish you guys catch 3 miles.
Like watching you guys ocean fish.. Thanks
TY reel.
Nice boat
Hi Brian ,Hi Darci, just discovered your you-tube videos Brian that's the perfect all around size boat to catch just about everything inshore off shore etc.
Getting a boat soon this was a lot of help .thanks cizzle
awesome
I wish I had the huevos to do what you two did. thank you for this video and the weekly content!
You do!!!
Great video, thanks!
very nice video and a lot of info, i really enjoy; thanks Brian
Nice Boat Brian And Darcie You can't have enough Rod Holders Nice Outriggers Also Just A Great 23 footer Cheers Kenny
-Paul
You can't get through inlets with a kicker. Nobody uses them here. Thanks for watching! Everyone uses seatow here
Thanks 4 telling peeps 2 B SAFE & use their heads 1st!
BEST ADVICE EVER!
CONGRATS DUDE!
Keep up that daily video streak!
It's going to be -7°here in Denver by morning so enjoy the weather where you're at
straight forward, no nonsense information & tips. thank you!

How can someone dislike this video? Thanks dude!
They jelly
Great video Brian!
Thanks --bb
Thanks for the details about the v bottom and how they compare with the others.
Welcome Phil
Brian off the charts great ...Bob in Canada
TY Bob!!!
+rbljackson thanks! I mentioned we keep it in dry storage, it's 4500 year
yeah I caught that.
Best thumbnail ever
Very helpful and informative.
Well it is 7 degrees here and I'm not poking my tongue out. Plus I don't have a boat! Cool stuff! Thanks!
lol thanks for watching don
Very good Bryon. Thank you. Great boat too.
I loved this video. In fact, it's the first time I had to take notes. Thanks!!!
Great video Brian. You pretty much covered everything. Very interesting.
Thanks Bob!
It was just a bit to sad that he never got to retire and sail around the world like he had dreamed...
lol
You are Good Man!
Sea dek looks so nice!!!!!
Such an honest video. Thanks man
