If you can’t get it to start, use the switch method to start the small one with the Shualker boxes and then use the 23 by 23. And use the S box for the water for the dispenser. It’s slower but still works
Can you make a working shop with redstone, for example let's say i sell saddles they will put 32 emeralds and then the saddle will go in their inventory or in a chest or something, love the video keep it up ❤💫
I did 4 of this farm next to each other that all lead to the same kill chamber , and it gives a ton of exp , also if you play on normal turn it to hard so more mobs can spawn from the portals and also hit 1 of them so the others try to chase you from nether which actually boosts this farm's speeds
How did you make them all lead to the same kill chamber?
Love it, built it, have questions tho. I made a few of my own changes so that's probably the fault but I barely get xp standing where you do, I have to go up in front of the glass to collect it all? Also i plan on putting a sorter underneath for all the swords into a smelter
Dig a hole 2 blocks deep by one of the pistons and stand in it. You'll get all the xp and won't get hit. Make sure your inventory is full so though, so you don't pick up the trident.

thank you for this, if anyone builds this just for the gold and exp, I recommend you make a simple chest sorter and have everything lead to a dropper with a redstone repeater on top of it that drops everything into a lava pit, and have 2 chests for gold ingots and gold nuggets
If your having trouble with the portal lighting up mess around with the lava and trapdoors I only pour 1 thing of lava and add 2 more trapdoors that it started working really well

This farm works too good. The double chest got filled in less than 2 minutes. Now I need a storage filter to smelt all those swords down.

also dig 20 blocks down so the trident one shots them
my water dispenser doesn’t work like yours does? anybody know any fixes or workarounds? also when i break and relight the portal, i dont get anything come through at all

whenever i go afk at my gold farm and come back the piglins somehow glitch through the blocks and kill me. how do i fix this

if you’re having trouble with lighting the portal, try using doors instead of trapdoors. also make sure your portal faces north>south and not east>west

You’re going to have to make sure that your portal opens to the proper biome in the nether. I think that’s the only step missing from the explanation.

You should never ever go through the portal to your farm, nothing on the nether end should have to be done

@@omarpanduro4281 It happened with me one time i was gone in the nether from my House's Portal and when i came back with the same portal i got out from the farm portal but still the farm was working fine it means dont go to nether through is but u can come out of it
right as i was about to light the portal to see which side the piglin spawns. It starts raining

Built this and turned off my xbox my world is now corrupted and I can't load into it any idea on how to fix this?
1. You always need to have 3 copies of your world. Every big build I do I save and quit then copy twice delete the old as long as I have 3 new copies. 2. If you afk any farm most of the time what causes corruption for me anyways is when your loot bin gets full and the drops end up staying in the kill chamber. The game doesn't like too many drops. I always recommend expanding the storage by at least 10 double chests. But for this farm and any farm that has loot that can't be stacked like swords armor or something similar I tend to do 20+ double chests.
how am i supposed to know which side to build on in survival, i tried breaking the obsidian then re lighting but it doesnt seem to spawn a piglin
Keep doing it, it will eventually spawn if you aren’t in peaceful mode

Am I the only one that build that on a realm then after afk-ing for like 10mins I got killed by a Baby Piglin? Can someone help me how can I fix that? It's sad loosing 60 levels that you wait and then dying by a baby zombie

I figured it out you have to be above y level 0 for the pigment to spawn
how much xp do you get and gold bars for afking for an hour
Use a grindstone for the golden swords for more xp
If I want to make this farm faster can I make another portal right next to it linked to the same kill chamber or does that not work?
does not work, it would be the same location in the nether so it would just be the same rates. i tried it 2 years ago maybe it works now lol

I build one of these underground and it worked. I started a new world and tried it again. Now I can’t get a piglin to spawn. Do I need to move this outside instead of underground?
Had this same issue yesterday. Turns out under a certain y level in overworld. The nether portals won't spawn piglins, had to move mine up
I wanna say under y-30 or so but I could def be wrong
I go to make a portal and it spawns in the area that my base portal goes to and the xp farm portal is up to 700 blocks away
How do u make a sorting system so u do get swords filling your chets
This farm has one problem when the piglins spawn from the portal they can jump to get in the portal and in bedrock edition you can only have 1 nether spawn so they can stack piglins in the nether and when you go to the nether they kill you so make the water line one layer down so they cant jump to the portal/

Doesn’t only java have hardcore?
You can get more nether spawn in Bedrock to , you just Need to know the Right coordinate for the Right Portal

Everytime i enter the nether thru my main portal after using this i immediately get killed from angry pigman, my main portal is about 300 blocks away

I was following this guide but as soon as the water bucket does in the dispenser it turns out my nether portal and it doesn’t go back on until I take the water bucket out like I can see the water stopping and starting but as soon as it starts the first time the portal goes out and doesn’t come back on also the lava doesn’t start the portal ? Is it patched or am I doing something wrong ?

Same here. It worked great before. Now found out its not turning portal on automatically
If you have the faces of the portal facing north south change it to east west. (with the sunrise and sunset).
Dont ask why but fire doesnt spread north or south.

This would be more efficient if you added water and an impaling trident no?
Yes, it would. I would also recommend using an updated trident killer without the redstone torches. It is a quieter design.
Do you have any designs on a chunk loader for bedrock 1.20? I can't seem to find one on UA-cam that works for bedrock
Many don’t work because of the newer updates, I don’t even know if there is a working one rn

Does the portal need to be in a location so that it leads to the correct biome in the nether or does it work anywhere?

@@Sinister-zd7ub it has a high chance of messing up, and it will be harder to build, you can enter it but you probably shouldn’t, just to be safe, i built it and it has 0 problems, i never entered that portal, i use a different portal
What’s the best way to get the xp? Mine just gets stuck on hoppers
My dispenser just dispenses the bucket of water not just the water

VERY IMPORTANT: for those who think about building multiple portals and connecting them; yes it works and yes you’ll get more exp but please don’t build more then 3 otherwise your game will crash. Mine crashed after 12 minutes and now I’m trying to save my world with 2 spf (seconds per frame). Also it might be an option to build the killing chamber about 20 blocks deep so the piglings fall about 20 blocks because then they’re one hit

WARNING⚠️ Building this too closely to your bases Nether portal will generate hundreds of hostile Pigmen that will be trapped in any Nether base you have. Even though mine was 500-600 overworld blocks away, it wasn’t far enough.
Found that out the hard way lol after a while I just linked a portal to it
Something i noticed is the ex doesnt make its way to me i have to go behind the trident killer to pick it all up which in return picks up the tirident
Make a stair place in a certain way to make a window so you can collect xp

You should just brake a portal block and repeat until you get it

After a while I stopped getting xp. Do I have to have them mad at me or something ?? Do they not drop xp if the trident kills then and not me
The trident is thrown by you so you get the xp

Pick up and replace the trident. Should fix it. Will need to do this every once in a while

Pick your trident up and throw it down again, sometimes the trident needs a reset.
Great farm however I recommend some modifications to the kill chamber because some xp gets stuck in the hoppers and it struggles to kill the baby piglins sometimes :)
just add carpets on top of the hoppers

@@THEMAGNIFICENTPOWER hey when I’ve done that it pushes my pistons or something back because it collides, idk if it’s because I’m on bedrock but I found a solution it just requires me to have a full inventory
how do i stop angry pigman from enterning the portal, they keep entering the portal and always get transported in my main portal so whenever i enter the nether i always get killed by atleast 10 of them, i didn't even enter the portal of the farm
Make sure your main portal is properly linked so no other portal links to it on the nether. Once properly linked you can build this portal or any other portal safely 16 blocks away minimum, but never enter this gold farm portal. Portals in the nether generates only when you enter them the first time.

@1upMC you can make make it more efficient if you connect the auto smelter to melt the swords and then use the crafter to craft them into ingots then into blocks

@@zanderman1133 Don’t get me wrong, I understand that these tutorial videos are meant for redstone beginners but he does have a couple videos like the slot Machine and the vertical pet that are slightly more advanced so I thought it would be cool if he also did more advanced redstone tutorials to coincide with his beginner builds.

this was extremely helpful, but i do have one problem. the xp seems to pool up near the glass instead of at the afk area, i have to go up and harvest it manually, its that fixable?
I made my afk area under the hoppers and that seems to collect the xp well. Try this and it should help 🫡
I have a problem with pigmen spawning faster than they can be killed. I went into a test world to test if more tridents would work and it doesn't seem to. What can I do?
EDIT: I dropped the AFK room down to 18 blocks from the opening. The fall damage seems to take care of overcrowding.
I still have an issue with items needing to be sorted. Can anyone refer be to a video to resolve this?

No. They fall just enough to weaken them. The Trident makes the final blow.

Cant just break the portal with the flint and steel in survival. You gotta break a block to turn off portal so determining where the piglins come out using that method in survival is completely useles

ok, LMAO. i think i put it slightly too close to my old nether portal because the last time my friend went through, he got jumped by literally 90 zombie pigmen.

Depends, if the server is natively java then no
but if its natively bedrock then yes it can work

It’s an AFK build so that’s why it’s using trident. You can use ur sword but that defeats the purpose of AFK

Most likely you made a dropper instead of a dispenser

For some reason the lava isn't setting a flame so the portal can start. How does that work and how can I fix it?
I'm having the same issue. I built one of these farms already in my realm but now the second one I'm building won't light the portal. I also tried in other world and a creative world. MY original one still works though.

I think I figured it out, I opened up the top of the box right above the lava. The trapdoor itself doesn't burn, but it does increase the chance of fire spread.

You turn it on peaceful so they can de spawn and they can’t kill you.
