I once had a theology major friend who I got tons of audiobooks of different religious texts for (not the Qur’an, I believe there’s a belief of “you have to be silent beyond the actual praying, no music playing whilst there’s prayers” I think? I can’t remember). They were quite chuffed.

@@monroerobbins7551 oh there are versions of these (and apps) for the Qur'an. People don't use them *while* praying but for something to listen to while doing other things, or to work on their recitation or for memorising verses.

My AP Literature teacher's classroom was covered in Jesus merch. She would give us Jesus band-aids to give us inspiration during our AP test. Students would gift her more Jesus merch when they graduated. She had seven bobbleheads. It was wonderful.

This could be down to ever-cheaper parts being used. I've had battery-operated products start overheating almost immediately upon putting the batteries in (scary AF, btw - esp since it most recently happened on a light-up toy that's allegedly bath-safe; we already had one, but I wanted to add another for more ambiance lol). I don't know if that's caused by a 'short' (or what, really, a short is), but I was nervous when they started saying HOW hot it was, since while those panini makers get hot, they aren't usually so to the point it's worth commenting on!

@@starlight_studios8784 You know that there's people that like doesn't really do religious things like pray, read the Bible, go to church for Sunday service and such, but they still believe in God and is aware that they're Christian. Because I do have some friends that don't do religious things like I mentioned but whenever someone asked them what's their religion, they would say "I'm Christian". Something like that.

I know Christians dont really have to prove that they are one, but isnt it better as a Christian to have your actions match what religion you beleive in? As for my actions matching up with what I believe in. There are a ton of things the Bible says not to do, but Christians still do it. Same for ANY religion.

But I found those tracks so funny, Halloween is Satan's birthday(only time I've ever heard that), that parents should be happy when their children die because now they are with Jesus and many more fucked up themes. Well Jesus was a real man. Whether he was the son of God or not is certainly debatable but whether you believe he was or not is irrelevant in my opinion. As an agnostic I'm a huge fan of Jesus and his words. He was a good wise man that just tried to help people.

That is stupid but I think religion is stupid so I guess you so called rules of what you can and can't do seems arbitrary and dumb to me. I rather enjoy being an atheist were I don't have to follow some book from thousands of years ago that is pro rape and abortion and is anti shellfish and mixed fabrics and hair cuts. Seems ridiculous and a waste of time. The bible has been used to commit so many heinous acts throughout history and the church is one place where you find the most child predators in leadership and they get protected by the church. Why would I follow something that protects child predators.
When Jesus died on the cross he death appeased the punishments of the old testemants. Also, if one person out of a hundred cheated on a test would you think that the rest of the 99 are also cheaters? It’s not just about church it’s about having a relationship with Jesus. People don’t define Jesus, Jesus does.

I remember my grandma and basically almost any Korean elderly person in my childhood having a compact portable radio that would read the Bible out loud for them in a majestic, booming somber voice - complete with hymns and meditational music. It was some intense stuff but also a fond memory. I didn't think I would suddenly have a trip down memory lane looking at the Wonder Bible on this channel today, but here we are.

Fun fact, the reason that the iron overheated is probably because you were inadvertently "overclocking it".
Judging by the plug, it was imported from the US. The US' electrical grid runs on 110V. By plugging it directly into a UK plug, which supplies 230V, you damn near doubled the power going trough the heating coil. This causing it to rapidly heat up and if you left it any longer it would've melted itself.
So yeah, the next time you're buying a weird Jesus iron from the internet, make sure it's rated for your country's voltage!

Here in the Philippines, we use both 110V and 220V plugs which may confuse some people, causing them to inadvertently plug a 110V appliance to a 220V plug, unless properly labeled. Thus, most appliances that we manufacture today have a 110-230V range so they can run on either plug.

For those who are impressed at Chris getting Matthew 5:9 correct. Matthew 5 is the beatitudes. It is the beginning of the sermon on the mount, one of the most famous passages in the entire bible. Priests/Pastors might have a large number of passages in their memory banks, but it isn't like church leaders have the whole bible memorized. Don't be disappointed if your church leaders can't identify random verses.
it's like getting disappointed when someone knows that darth vader actually says "no, i am your father" instead of "luke, i am your father", but they don't know what the third line lando says in the movie
A good reason why the bible still comes in written form. People don't have to memorise it and then accidentally get something wrong and embellish or omit some details.

That Dancing Jesus and Disciples Conga Line is especially hilarious for me, because my church used to put on a musical annually which told the story of Jesus and his ministry. We had a singing Jesus (who also happened to be one of my high school teachers) and Dancing Disciples. One year, my dad was cast to play Judas, but he was still fairly new to church at that point and didn’t know exactly who Judas was or what he did. So, when the ending scene comes and all the disciples are out on stage, he goes to join them and the director has to quickly explain to him that he’s not in this scene because he’s dead.
Anytime Rev Chris is on, I know it’s going to be good!!! EDIT: I know I’m an outlier here, but I thought that cameo was hysterical and I think Rev Chris HAS to use it AT LEAST once! There has got to be some sort of message he can use to work it in…. the worship of social media, I don’t know… you guys are the funny lads! But I got a chuckle out of it and I’m sure his parishioners wouldn’t forget it and it will DEFINITELY be talked about!
Yes!! I definitely think it could be used as a piece of media relating to a sermon on something like "The Problem With Commercializing Religion" or something in that vein. It would be kind of shocking, though, without much context or knowledge of what to expect, so there would need to be some allotted time for laughter and bewilderment before the actual sermon portion would begin. An adjustment period. Lol
Especially if any of his congregation watch this, I would def demand it be played at least once.

“No one dozes off in my sermons!” Always a great episode when Rev Chris is in the mix. I remember years ago, there was an episode on Glee when Finn made a grilled cheese and said that it had a likeness of Jesus on it, they started calling it grilled Cheesus.

Even as an atheist I kinda have to agree. The "butterfly effect" really isn't as important as people make it out to be. Give or take a century, most historical events were pretty much destined to happen eventually.
It's pretty rare that we come across people like Jesus, Muhammad, or Cyrus the Great, that have individual and lasting impact on the history books. Or at least Western history. Don't quote me when it comes to the East.

The bible doesn't discourage alcohol, but it certainly discourages intoxication. I can fully agree with Rev. Chris considering the hidden liquor flask to be insulting. I’m not religious in the slightest, the memes are just too fire
