    I have an air nibbler and it does a nice job but the only thing i dont like about those things are those crescent shaped chips they make. They find their way into everything. Shoes, socks, etc. I always thought they should have some kind of catch bottle for that.

    What gauge of Annealed Copper could you cut with this? Your website only lists Brass at 14 gauge, but Annealed Copper is substantially softer.

    • @canibble-professionalnibbl1603
      @canibble-professionalnibbl1603  7 років тому

      Hi Micah, it will cut up to 2mm thick of annealed copper. It is essential that a cutting oil or WD40 is used along the path of the cut when cutting soft materials.

      Hi Vince, great question here are the gauges and materials you can cut:
      For Mild Steel it is 1.6mm (or 16 SWG) 0.063”
      For Brass, Aluminium, Plastic it is 2.0mm (or 14 SWG) 0.079”
      We recommend a specific punch and die are kept for Aluminium work
      For Stainless Steel it is 1.0mm Maximum (or 20 SWG) 0.039”
      We recommend a specific punch and die are kept for Stainless Steel work.
      Always apply a lubricant such as WD40 or light oil along the path of cut.

      For the bundle ($188.85) you get a CaNibble, bench clamps, spare dies and punches, and a straight and circle cutting attachment. No other brand offers this number of attachments or functionality. The price of our bundle is indicative of its quality, functionality, and lifespan. If it's more do-able, we offer the CaNibble on its own for $99. Hope this helps :)

Worst of all, Companies here in good ol America are selling these goods profiling the U.S. flag stating its shipped from the USA. This could be true but the fact of the matter is that the products orgin is from China! Im a victim of buying a Samsung Fake phone from a U.S. seller. Hurting our economy and loss of jobs for the sake of profit greed.

    How long it lasts sharp. How to sharpen it?

    • @canibble-professionalnibbl1603
      @canibble-professionalnibbl1603  6 років тому +1

      It lasts around 200 meters on, say mild steel if used in accordance with the instructions. However the full answer depends upon the grade and thickness of material you are cutting, because this impacts on the cutting edge of the punch and die. These two parts are the consumable parts and can be replaced when they dull.

      No, the drill drives the Nibbler so that when it is off, the Nibbler will not run. But many drills have a trigger lock so you can run without holding the trigger the whole time.

After a number of years, they were not successful in terms of sales volumes and the license was not renewed. A couple of years ago we saw Versicutter for sale in the Philipines, examination showed it was not made by us and we discovered they had been making them cheaply in China without our approval. They are subject to current legal action, with the court date set for two weeks time.

    • @180doman
      @180doman 6 років тому

      Tiny copper tracks on PCBs are sensitive to cracking and sometimes even they peel off if you put too much heat or force on them. I just wonder how much vibrations are dangerous to them and PCB itself which is more sensitive to cracking than metal or fibre glass. Can you make some tests and record them? I mean, cutting PCB is common problem in electronic world. Many electronic hobbysts, beginners, students, DIYers struggle with it as traditional cutting with Dremel generates pcb dust which is very messy and bad for your lungs. Not to mention that cutting more complicated shapes is very hard. Scroll saws are expensive and young beginners or hobbyst not alwas have money or will to buy such a device which also causes problem with placing it - i mean many of them make pcbs at home. Your device yould be great solution as it generates only scraps, you can cut complicated shapes and is very portable. If it would work i would publish it on biggest electronic/electric forum in my country as well as on biggest DIY forum.

    Whenever I hear something like "worldwide such and such of choice" I consider what would qualify that statement and if it sold one unit to five different countries it would meet the requirements of that statement. However what it is meant to imply is entirely different. I highly doubt that it's the go to nibbler of choice for fabricators and sheet metal roofing companies the world over. I also doubt that the punch or it's other parts are made of the same quality as the tools made by companies for small businesses let alone industrial ones.
    I don't have a problem with cheap tools not matching up to their quality counterparts but where I do have a problem is with a cheap tool made from cheap materials that tries to stand next to those ones that aren't cheap and that are made from durable high quality materials. When I was young I used to believe the statements from such marketing until I got my hands on various expensive high end tools and was left wide eyed from how much better they performed over the cheap ones. Just because you can't visually see the difference between a cheap pair of pliers compared to Knipex pliers you will feel the difference between them during the first time you use them and then years later at how good the quality ones still are.
    The cheap ones are great for a home gamer type of user that will only use them once to roof the garden shed or the hobbyist who can't justify spending $500 for a good brand name nibbler when all they want to use it for is to chop up and old copper hot water tank to make arts and crafts from it.

    its like 20$ on amazon..why bother rebrand it.........
    also this one seems like the head doesnt rotate...so when dealing big sheets(which ofc the video doesn't show any big sheets), its is pain in the ass to cut thru any corrugated sheets coz your drill will be in the way.

      Hi Alan, thanks for your comment. The CaNibble is not a re-brand of the cheap nibblers you see on sites like Amazon. We're the original manufacturer of the drill attachment nibbler and have been making them for over 40 years. The CaNibble is our newest generation of nibbler, and benefits from these 40 years of experience and refinement. This is why our nibbler cuts so much better and for so much longer. The head, or die of our nibbler does actually rotate, it's actually a design we pioneered in our earlier generations of nibbler.

    Anyone who pushes a cut off wheel through thinner gauge sheet metal gets all they deserve especially if they let it over hang the bench so far. You should drag the grinder across the sheet with minimum overhang or even better no overhang at all and on top of a junk piece of plywood with the metal sheet clamped to the work surface to hold it in place properly.
    Now I've dispensed my two cents worth of advise I'll put on my knit gloves and squint as I push the grinder, sans guard through my 30 guage mild steel sheet so that the sparks set fire to my gloves and clothing and I flinch from the metal particles bounce off my eyelids and face. I once had a pebble of grinder wheel hit my eyeball that fused to my eye. The emergency room Dr. wanted to use a syringe needle to pick it off my eye. Well I chickened out when he was about 3 inches from my eyeball. I told him I'd rather risk going blind than let him pick at the sliver with a syringe. Luckily the speck detached on its own and there wasn't any infection that happened (probably due to the spec being sterile from the heat when it impacted my eye. true story.

    Cannibal $218. Chinese unit $30. .??????

      @canibble-professionalnibbl1603  6 років тому +3

      Hi FAA Inspector, The CaNibble Professional Nibbler on its own (like that of the Chinese unit) is $99, our bundle which includes bench clamps, a straight and circle cutting attachment, spare punches and a die costs $188.85 which is $29.15 cheaper than your figure of $218. While the CaNibble Professional Nibbler is more expensive than a Chinese unit, it is not for no reason; we offer a 5-year guarantee on our product, we manufacture in Australia which is inherently more expensive than China (wages, power, and material), we provide readily available spares and manufacture the CaNibble Professional Nibbler to a very high standard which includes over 40 years of development and testing along with our patented cutting action.

    Nice tool but $188 for the whole kit come on man, whats your cost on the kit at most $15, nice tool but not for $188, and you guys wonder how come chinese make it sell it for $25 for the whole kit, GREED is the word.

      Hey zz zz, the Chinese do not have the standards of living like in the USA and Australia (where we make CaNibble Nibblers), our staff would leave if we paid them Chinese wages and had them sleep on the factory floor! the Chinese also rip off our advertising so they don't need to invest in that, and piggyback off of our bringing Nibblers to the market (now that's greed :-)). Ours is a patented product, made to exacting standards, with 40 years of R&D behind it, we support each and every customer and stand firmly behind our product. Our desire is to bring you a nibbler that lasts a lifetime, delivers unbeatable cutting and will always have replacement consumables (punch and die) available. We're committed to making the best NIbblers on the market and have been for decades.
