Hey Alexandra! You're SO welcome. Happy to hear that our video will keep you nice and busy during your travels in Chiang Mai. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions :) Susie
Nicely done!!! I’ve lived in Chiang Mai for quite awhile and your video has inspired me to get out more, even though I have visited a lot of places, you have pointed out some which I have missed, Cheers.
Hey Pat! Wow, super envious that you live in Chiang Mai! We really miss it. Definitely make the most of what Chiang Mai has to offer and go off exploring. Let us know if we can help with anything! :) Susie
“Everlasting Hills” Chiang Mai, Thailand Is the most Beautiful of all Beautiful Lovely of all Lovely Glorious of all Glorious Places For vacation and destination
I just stumbled upon your video and I have to tell you that it’s the best one I’ve seen, and I have watched at least two dozen others. I will be in Chiangmai on November 2 and your video has helped so much. Not flashy, just really darn good! Thank you.
Wow, thank you for the wonderful comment! It's really nice to read comments like these, as it takes many hours editing our videos. We created travel videos to help other fellow travellers for their trips, so the fact that we've helped you in some way, that truly makes it worth while for us! Do let us know if you need any other information - always happy to help! Susie
Thanks Keith! Well, it's a great excuse to go back again isn't it! :D We'll definitely be back in a few years to explore other less visited areas in Thailand. Stay tuned for our Krabi video coming out next week! Susie
I love Nong Buak Haad park and I spend time there every time I am in Chiang Mai. But it's hardly "outside the city". More like "smack dab in the middle of the city." :D
I am from the Chakma tribe in Bangladesh and just mesmerised by the fact that there are so many similarities between the local Chiang mai tribes including religion, contexture method of traditional attire and the housing design, take my ❣️
Hi Tejas, glad you found it helpful :) We explored by foot most of the time (for attractions that were in the nearby area) otherwise we used taxis too. We recommend using the Grab app. Other budget friendly options is the Songthaew - they're red open-aired trucks that are generally used by locals. It's a cheaper way of getting around compared to getting a taxi, so it entirely depends on your budget too! Hope that helps :)
Hi there, I'm not 100% sure to be honest, as I know they've been banned in places that are close to airports. As far as I'm aware, they are still happening in Chiang Mai Gate for NY. Have a double check online to make sure :)@jalovergwynethjenn9087
Hi Graham. It depends what you plan on doing in CM and how long you're planning on visiting. We were there for 2 weeks and managed to get around by taxi. I would also advise against driving in the city as it can be a bit chaotic, but if you're visiting places outside of the city where it's less busy, it'll be fine. Susie
@@ToucanTravellersThank you Susie, just spent 2 + 2 weeks driving in Bangkok and Hua Hin, so this should be a breeze! I think I'll do a joint venture with Hat Yai so will rent the car in CM for the 8 days to give me freedom...its cheap enough anyway!
Hi there, I just did a quick Google search for you and you can check out the dates on the following website : chiangmaitotravel.com/tours/yi-peng-2023/
Hi there, I am not entirely sure what it's like to live in Chiang Mai as a retiree, but I can say that it's a great place to stay long term. It offers so many things to see and do, places to visit, with ample places to eat. The cost of living is extremely low, and you get a lot for your money there. We saw a few retired expats when we visited earlier this year, so based on that, I think it's definitely a place worth considering :) Susie
I don't like to join tours because we have young children. Scooter is also not an option. What can I use to visit things outside of town? Transportation seems like a big problem in AsEan countries.
The best option is to use a taxi. Try Grab or Bolt (you'll need to download the app on your phone and set up an account). Grab is the most popular option. Bolt is also good, but it can sometimes be more difficult to find a driver, depending on where you want to go. Hope this helps.
Hi Robert, thanks for your comment! You can easily spend 5 days in Chiang Mai, but I'd recommend giving yourself a full week to explore it properly. Susie
Thailand is the paradise and second home for all visitor !!!
It really is! :)
Well deserved. Chiang Mai is always outstanding. Good luck for you.
Chiang Mai does look amazing
What an excellent video, I've just arrived and now have a full itinerary after watching this, thank you!

How many days would you say one would need to take in most of Chiang Mai? Including the items on your list.
I called this Rosalie Chiang Mai!
Nice video. May I know what is the name of the temple or Palace on the video home screen?
Hi there, it's Rajapruek Royal Park 😊 www.royalparkrajapruek.org/
Great Video Thanks, is not Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan and Phra Singh Temple the same temple?
Ahh thank you for pointing that out - I've amended the names in the description box :) Glad you enjoyed watching!
Hello, can you share the website to buy lantern festival? thanks in advance
Hi there, the lantern festival was free of charge. You just need to pay a small amount to purchase your own lantern :)
Hi!! May i know where is the location you guys went to release the lanterns!
Hi there. We went to Chiang Mai Gate :) Be sure to find a spot away from the crowds as it gets super busy!

Rajapruek Royal Park 😊
Hello, please tell me, in which months was your visit?
Hi Renate, we were in Chiang Mai at the start of January 🙂 it's a great time to visit !
thank you, we will visit it in November, our first plan was in March, But we decide to chance regarding burning season.
@@renateberndl2557 I think you'll be fine in November. You'll have better weather then, as rainy season ends in October in Chiang Mai.
how long is burn season?
It's usually between the months of February - April
Is it a good place for retirement?

Yes - you'll just need to go on the app and request a driver when you need picking up.
Can we take baby strollers in royal twin pagodas?
Hi! Yes, absolutely. It's both wheelchair and stroller friendly. There's an escalator and lift to use 😊
